The profuse symbolism hidden in each line is fabulous, underlined my most favs.

Such a fascinating thought about she hearing him inspite of he NOT waiting to believe/ hear her.. or is she hearing him exactly for the same reason.. that she wants him to hear her... you know the telepathy started RIGHT at the outset of the kidnap this DAY1..

Beautiful that line about Payal's links and the ever lasting memory.. how you connected the inherent links of the ornament with their intimate memory.. verb and noun forms of link.. most aptly used ..👏

Lovely connection to Teej saving.. why did he save only to seemingly push her into danger.. or so she thought.. classic case of dard bhi tu.. dawa bhi tu..

Very very fantastic piece durga... that edit on top.. very creative...

Also, thanks a lot for that generous appreciation for that vm. had a great time making it..floated into some truly memorable times listening some of them after a long time.. their essence doesn't seem to fade after all these decades...had to cut short some songs, like the parveen sultana's hume tumse etc. as it was getting too long .thanks durga...

🤗 Hugging back Indu, thank you so so much. Yes, the telepathy started on Day 1 of kidnap. You know, it's like how when one sense gets cut off, the other becomes more active or powerful. That is what has happened here. Now that they can't reach each other by any physical means, the only option left is thoughts, so telepathy. They are after all one, they have to stay connected, no matter what.

The links just found its way in and gelled so well, sometimes I do thank up above for the right words popping into my head at the right time. Thanks for liking the edit too. I wanted to squeeze in a shot of guesthouse rescue too but didn't have time to go to the episode and take one. Glad you liked it.

Indu, I have been watching your vm everyday and going haaye everytime. I see that it's bringing back some fond memories to you too. Let them come for these are gems. The only you keep them alive are that you recall them more and more. Take care. 😊

thoughtful and thought provoking it is.

you know we keep seeking love stories that have no anguish, no pain... yet why do i feel that it is only when you feel that pain, you yoke and enter each other?

i have a favourite line here...

In spite of all the hate, why do I seek you within me?

in her. that's where she looks for him. that is inspired. somewhere all those we love become part of us, us in a way. they belong almost to our dna. some day soem research might even prove that, who knows. but really, lovers merge, they do become one.

you have interlaced the wonderful nuance of the yeh nadani soliloquy and tied their many moments together... an innocent girl wondering why he saves her only to hurt her and why she craves him even though he hurts her... beautiful.

our life gives us very little chance to be poetic... yet it is in these sort of thoughts perhaps the real living and feeling and understanding of life gets done.

you write poetry with a classic touch... seeking central meaning, building around it... i love that. makes each poem powerful...

why does he call her... why does he need her... why does she think only of him...

Aww thanks Indi. I love that part of proving that lovers do merge. A part of them always remains with the other, that's why when they are with each other, they feel complete.

I would like to differ with that above in bold. Most poems written are sad ones. Not saying that life is unfair, but it isn't always easy to overcome the sad elements of life. Sometimes, one tends to overlook the good things that one has at such times. Poetry is something that comes from the heart. If our hearts are alive, then so will be poetry. A person who shuts off his heart and ignores its call will also won't have much to say either. It would sometimes need a jhalli sanka girl to make the heart go chaotic and erupt. 😉

Thanks for loving my poems Indi. Classic? I don't know. But I do try to work it around a particular point. Sometimes, I would like to write one which just flows freely, thoughts that come up one after another, let it all out. Just the way you write, there's a certain beauty in there. I love that. 😳

Durga, rangoli is still on air? That's so good to hear, that some things haven't changed! And I love aapki aankhon mein kuch. Somebody please make a vm. Or maybe Indu can include it in her next one.
All the talk about old songs is making me very nostalgic. Remember going off to sleep as a child, listening to mukesh and talat mehmood, favorites of my dad's. Apparently my maternal grandfather loved talat mehmood too, and had planned to attend a concert of his scheduled to happen in my mom's home town, along with my dad and my uncle. But he passed away couple of months before that. My dad and uncle who went for the concert talks about how poignant it was to listen to his favorite songs being sung. Chapters in one's life!
I've embarked on a major academic journey and should be focusing on other things, but it is difficult to stay away from here, dammit!
On the reruns, the man is trying to romance his biwi. And Anjali says tumhe pyaar hua he chottey, as if that's a crime?!!! I went what the..., am I missing something for the what the h does she mean by that? That bro-sis convo sort of didn't sit well with me.

Kizh, yes Rangoli is still being aired. Over the years, many hosts changed, formats changed, but what's unchanged is the beautiful mix of songs. Nowadays, they give clues where one has to identify the film personality (which are so easy that I usually get within 2,3 clues), answer revealed in the next episode. But whatever, it does make my Sunday mornings happy. Only wish they continued with the original Lata Mangeshkar rendered title song.

Ha ha, that brother-sister convo led to so many discussions, debates on the forum. Will talk about it more when we reach there.

Thanks for sharing your memories. How the songs from this era make us more and more nostalgic. All the best on your major academic journey. I wish you reach your goals with flying colours. 😊

durga,

you think most poems written are sad? i don't know, reading the romantics back in college, and some of the others, i always felt elevated... daffodils. simple poem, so much beauty... and written when he had lost his brother and was feeling particularly lost... or so i read the other day. most of tagore that i recall and could understand, not tragic at all...

but i so agree with what you say about our hearts being alive... i feel that is gone a bit missing nowadays. my sense is that and that is why so little time for poetry.

i am glad we all leap into poetry on these pages... the leap of the heart, what could be more exciting.

and thanks for liking my rambles... i never can organise my thoughts, so i think about something deeply for a while, then just go for it. right now, mind is in and out of telepathy. that conversation had something much more than just cool writing in it. it's inspired. i would love to see your poem on it.

you mentioned that "ab kya bolun" scene to indi di.. the comic timing, actually just the understanding of humor was perfect in IPK.. even the fights and the dhak dhaks.. humaare naam mein bhi a hain.. another one of my favourites..

Since we are listing favourties from old songs I like this one too... ye raat bheegi bheegi ye mast fizae utha dheere dheere wo chand pyaara pyaara..

I racked my brains for a song for teri meri and then went and made this.. kept all the scenes as is and added in the song and changed the color hahaha... what do you think?

by the way, I love these lines of the song ..

Chup na sakega ishq humara..charo taraf hai unka nazara
parda nai jab koi khuda..
parda nai jab koi khuda se bando se parda karna kya
jab pyar kiya toh darna kya

Aww this was lovely! Something magical happened there using that soundtrack and just letting it run in monochrome...and one of my most favorite arnav close-ups arrived on my favorite line of the song...parda nahin jab koi khuda se bandon se parda karna kya...Uff, too good.

Thanks beheniya!

Hey Javeria👏👏👏

Simply beautiful

There is sequence and message in it the way you posted these...

Confession, acceptance, remembrance and feel and above all DREAM...Nice

Love all of em but my eyes grabbed your captions on these pictures.Songs to heartfelt words❤️

I loved the captions and the setting of the last two...Yes the yearning was always there and this separation made both realize "they don't need anything but each other"

She finds out how much she is incomplete without him, eevn there is a hate relationship but it is still way stronger and it should be given a chance...he sees darkness and a fear that he might not be able to see her and confesses but his passion for this gal is all over in that dream...just like her concerns for him are all over in edit 3 and 4

Great job creating a story within👏

Javeria completely agree with faiqa di.. your edits told a beautiful tale.. encompassing the entire kidnap trap.. Love the quotes.. how she smiles but misses him.. and that first verse.. he has slept for a thousand years.. The first teri meri edit is my favourite picture.. its like the light is radiating from within them..

Loved it javeria!

and thanks for reading my telepathy take.. really they can feel each other even if they can't see each other.. very nice way you put..

and saiyyan, yes, it is not the song over which you will show physical lovemaking... it is about the meeting of the soul with the eternal... on that there will be only meeting of souls, as there was. i totally loved the physical longing which as you point out was always much more than just that with asr khushi. the actors brought so much depth to the feeling. really like those fireflies, an inner light in their performance... just too too often.

done some talking up there.

Thnx Indi😊

But before I start , Thanks for reading even you were not feeling well.Hope feeling better now.

You are absolutely right, Khushi's feelings were not explored but if I see as a first time, not mentally prepared as she still feels not married properly which she completely sheds off after when they come home and again she creates barriers when he shouts at her and contract comes back into the picture and that's where she starts that ...hum nain ayengey jab tak yeh contract khatum nahin ho jata...I was watching it and thinking what a beautiful track was that which they dumped in the middle...All she wanted him to take her without any contract , without label without any inhibition so he can embrace her fully and he does that all later after Daadi comes but not the way they started initially...

Fire flies amaze me and my kids used to collect em...my older one did the sci project with em in 5th grade and he actually found a lot and I remember doing this with him that these lit up only for the loved one who they like...I hid my smile when my son told me very serious way at that age and showed me the Discovery movie which was part of his project. At that time I was not into this IPK world.

Now I can see more into humans and their feelings attached with that.Life is really fascinating and makes u see things at different level.
