There is such an endearing vulnerability blended with all that strength in his character ...

teehee, i am not such an ogre, nor a know all... please happily disagree. and i loved your thoughts too... i am just not willing to accept that just because he was in that situation, he said the words...

i find this character fascinating... especially the coexistence of the earthy and the noble within him.

and yes that vulnerability... in 259, for a few entrancing moments it shows through, is he about to weep, i think. in 258 it's there too, but more held back. imagine the state of the guy after saying those words and hearing her reply, wanting to desperately hold her... but no, not for him that joy... maybe never will it be there...

actually i get the feeling there will be lots to talk about and interpret in the coming days up to dadi... a very complex set of emotions unfolding and ricocheting... and absolute spectacular moments, like gems as indu said, set amid dross often. how they shine and lodge in the heart and head...

Was watching the rerun, not sure 263 or 64. Khushi and Mamiji watch that vidoe where their beloved family member is whisked away by rather strange and not so well meant looking sturdy guys. They came home and tada.. next morning they both are in ultra glittery orange attires not to forget matching bindis and jhumkas. How can one be in peace even for secrecy sake and indulge in all stray activities when they very well know that their beloved is in some kind of danger and is giving mixed signals about his being safe. I understand the need to drag the track, but is it hard to show them a little unkempt? It looked as if until then Khushi was worried about his where and how abouts and now that she knows he is safe in abductors hands she is at peace? Yes, she/they didn't mean that, but it came across like that unfortunately.

the only thing that was convincing for me was him.

actually the goons were not too bad...

but maybe it was for that unreal non-showing of any worry in appearance, that sense of as usual as usual, that the rest of the stuff felt just made up. the helter skelter fairly desperate search for a way to find him just might have worked if the perfect hair and make up were a little less so. i am no director but now that you make me think...
