Arshi, that was an engrossing write up for the most remarkable journey of that dupatta from sheesh mahal to their ultimate wedding. This little piece of adornment around her neck managed to do what these two grown up adults couldn't manage a few times.. a decent conversation.. it played its role of an emissary to perfection ...most touching part being your description of the purity of the dargah dupatta caress on his visage. Purity.. some thing this man is deprived of.. as immorality is at the core of his pain..his insecurities.. as much as he cared/ strived for integrity. And, all of a sudden, as much as dissimilar these two are ..they seem so impossibly identical at their cores.. some thing that always connected them.. just the way that dupatta did!

Thanks for the great insight Arshi.

If it was some one else .. In another distant state... It would have been a brusque "what say".from him. All those intimate hmm and ssh were reserved exclusively for her.

Yes that helpless irritation when ever he watches Nk trying to get close with her.. Right amount of frustration without making it an obvious anger... Becos he never really had blatant insecurities with NK if so, he wouldn't even have let him dance with her.

The fragility and suppleness of their physicality with their perfectly fitting profiles almost reflected the inner vulnerabilities of Arnav and Khushi. Barun's ASR and Sanaya's Khushi a perfect match in itself just like Arnav and Khushi.

Aarwen, Faiqa, Sohara,
Thanks for liking the poem. 😊
Faiqa, yes she was sad that he slept already. Like him, she too needed that jhalak, that talk in whatever form it is. Both can sense when the other is watching them. So, both know that the other is awake and yearning for that deedar. Tishnagi, nice word. 😊

What a perfect assimilation of beauty and the beast story with Arnav and Khushi's story. A big applause to the creatives for chosing a perfect fairy tale to depict Arshi's tale. Like the beast Arnav also remains in the faade of a heartless monster, but actually he is a very kind hearted prince. Like the beast he also loves his garden and his love for beauty is enormous. He compels her to do whatever he wants he wants and she also does everything according to his wish. But like the beauty Khushi also saw the handsome Rajkumar in Arnav. He was her Rajkumar, who always made her heart rate goes haywire, who danced with her, who gave her bangles, who kissed her lovingly, who gave her comfort when she was distraught. So many times he stood their by her side. but she doesn't know why suddenly he became a tyrant beast. She is hurt and wishing to see the beast to turn into a handsome prince soon.

Khushi's absence is literally deranging Arnav. Restless Arnav is fumbling inside the house just to get a glimpse of his pagal but cute wife. He told her not to show her face and for last two days Khushi was not seen. He didn't think that Khushi would've taken his words so seriously. He actually took her for granted. And now life is getting suffocating without her presence. So he couldn't help but finally asks HP, whether he saw her or not. HP didn't see her, and Arnav also feeling awkward to tell him to look for her. while striding away he suddenly hears her voice. After two days he got back his life. He goes to the direction in a perfunctory manner from where her voice is coming from.

No matter how much he hate her and detest to see her face because OS misunderstandings between them but the truth is opposite. His day don't start without seeing her face, with the cute quarrel on who will use the washroom first, listening her chirpy voice and witty comments, melodious echo of her bangles and Payal's and most important her utmost attention to him. Before she was just a reason to breath and now he can't spend a moment in life without her presence.

"What the"

What he is seeing. Khushi is tutoring some small kids. She will be their tuition teacher from 7 to 9 during the weekdays. He sighs a relief to see her, but her new work acerbates him. Why this annoyance Mr. Yummilicious? You are the one who told her to do some dhang ki kaam. And she is doing so. Dabba service se tution teacher ban gayi. Oh I got it he has allergy with kids.

Khushi has great camaraderie with kids. The kids are asking Khushi copious Questions. Whose blanket, whose nani etc. and Khushi is answering them patoently. Last time when the kids came in the house for kannya pooja they thought Arnav was Khushi didi's husband. When khushi refused they made him her honewala husband. Today without inhibition khushi is telling them about her husband, "my husband's granny".

The sexy grumpy man is back in his self. He is saying his what the more.

"What is happening in the guest room?"

He asks the ladies of the house. mami answers him quizzically

"Lagat hai, who phatti saree sochat rahi, jab uski personal bachche na ho jai, doosro ki bachche se maan bahelai jai."

(it seems like Khushi is thinking to please herself with other people's kids until she has her own.)

Though nani chides her, but I kind of liked her words. It was always my dream to see Arnav and Khushi as parents. Of course not parents of a grown up kid like Aarav, but parents of an adorable baby girl.

Mami continues, yesterday, whole day she was getting prepared for this.

"she started her new business, phatti saree and the chiller party, hello hi, bye, bye.

"Chiller party!"..Arnav is ambiguous.

Nani wants to make him understand that Khushi will remain happy while doing this tuition job and the house will be filled with kid's frolics.

khushi will do the tiffin supply in the day time and will do this tuition on the evening.

Arnav is flummoxed, is she still doing that tiffin service.

Poor guy thought that she gave up the dabba service. He always wanted Khushi to do something productive, where she can use her talents. He knows about her potentiality. Later after the remarriage he also set an office for her. But she refused to take his support and wanted to do something of her own.

He roils. Nani asks him sarcastically, why he is reacting like this? Did he recollect his childhood? It seems that Arnav was a naughty kid in his childhood. I wish if they would've shown some more anecdote of his childhood.

Nani is very understanding, she is well aware why Khushi is immersing herself in work. Arnav's childhood, whenever I think about it a terrible feeling ran in my body. A homeless, penniless orphan boy with an elder sister on the street totally helpless, one moment he was a prince of a palace and next moment he became a begger. Young Arnav showed a lot of potential and courage for starting his life with a scratch without wasting anytime in crying on his past and even for his parents. Life of an orphan is a road of thorns, poor Arnav he got no choice than to hurt his feet, soul and becoming a beast for the society who was his biggest hurdle and enemy. Here history is repeating, he is watching Khushi struggling just like he did to do something productive which could sooth his restless soul and heal his wounds and bring him at peace. His words has hurt Khushi a lot and he is upset of its consequences. Its time he should start learning to control his tongue and using his words wisely.

Khushi wants to start the first day of her tuition class with some story telling. She picks the story of beauty and the beast. I just loved how Sanaya depicted the story with voice modulation, with her hand and body movements. . She sure made the story more interesting and captivating to the kids.

"Don't know what is the drama, nonsense.'

Aww he is getting irritated on her. yaaay, ASR is back. He is talking to Aman about some rivals.

Khushi is in the juncture of the sunadari and Saitan story, when sundari is roaming around in shaitan's garden and shaitan finds her. To make the story more realistic she turns off the light of the room and wears a scary mask. Coincidently Arnav comes there in the crux of the moment and bumps with Khushi when in the story sundari also bumps with Shaitan. Including Khushi all starts to scream aloud.

"Shaitan, shaitan"...Khushi bawls to see him. So sanka devi is revenging him by calling him shaitan!

When Arnav tells her to shut up, she points her finger to him holding the shaitan mask. But she doesn't want to talk to him; she is still mad at him. She turns away. Arnav yelps that he is talking to her. The little guy with specs named Nikhil stands on Arnav's way and doesn't let him to come in,

"see sundari is so scared of you"

"sundari!".. arnav reacts quizzically, with a mocking expression.

The kids close the door in front of his face and comes and hugs Khushi to console her. The girl who is most inquisitive asks Nikhil, is Khushi sundari and Arnav shaitan?

Khushi continues the story. She tells them that shaitan loves his garden, waters them every day, takes care of them really well. They see Arnav is also watering the plants in the garden. The little girls gets scared and asks her is he the same shaitan? Khushi averts to answer and continues. She comes to the point of the story where Sundari dreams of a handsome rajkumar every night, who is very nice and behaves very well with her. The rajkumar in her dream takes care of sundari so much. And every night she just dreams of that rajkumar. Music of Ipk's title song ascends in the BG. Arnav espies her from the garden. He hasn't been able to completely thwart a feeling of compunction that has been gnawing at his heart ever since he behave badly with her.

"every night in her dream she asks that prince a question, but she wakes up without hearing the answer."...she says weakly with the pupils of her eyes dilated with pain.

Her eyes go outside to the garden, where she sees Arnav is listening to her with embroilment. Both glance at each other for a while. His inside wrenches in acute pain. Contrition assails his heart.. khushi also gets melancholic. Arnav lowers down his gaze to control a rising wave of emotions.

The girl asks her, what is the matter. In subdued voice Khushi tells her that sundari came to know that the rajkumar and shaitan is the same person. But how is that possible

"pal mai shaitan, paal mai rajkumar! How two becomes one!"

Her feelings is snubbed and her heart feels heavier than the rain laden cloud. Arnav and Khushi both gazes at each other intently with a veil thoughtful expressions in their eyes. Arnav was looking so hurt and distraught and Kushi looked so despondent,

"ek hi pal mei sukh dena, aur agkle paal mai dukh."

(give happiness in a moment and give pain in the next moment)

Love this gif 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏

Arnav convulses terribly to hear her painful words, as if she is not telling the story of beauty and the beast, but telling their story.

"I can't live without you"...he recollects the heer-ranjha moment, when he almost confessed his love to her. then the moment when he snatched the bag from her hand, threw the necklace set what nani gave her lovingly. He didn't spare a chance to call her greedy. His heart lurches painfully.

"now she can't understand."..khushi resumes her story,

"why she can't understand"...the little girl's innocent query. The other guy wants her to tell the story fast. The girl thinks Sundari is scared, because shaitan is near. She wants to know, what happened next? Did the shaitan kill shundari or ate her up? Khushi comes back from her trance and answers her,

"nether he killed her, nor he ate her, cause sundari was a very nice girl."

(pause: I can sense optimism in her words. she knows, like the beast Arnav will turn to a rajkumar soon, cause her credence will not let her down. She is an honest, innocent, genuine and a very nice girl and loves Arnav immensely. She knows someday her myriad love and goodness will get the beast out of him)

By this time the kids start to fight and breaks their pencil. Khushi tells them to sit quietly or the shaitan will come and eat them up.

"pal mai shaitan, pal mai rajkumar, yeh dono ek kaise ho sakte hai"

Khushi's painful query is creating tempest in Arnav's heart. He is reeling under the effects of a complex mlange of emotions that is causing chaos and disorder in his heavy heart, whether he could tell her, he is not shaitan but the rajkumar of her dream, who loves her a lot, but a nightmare just shattered everything. Aman's call aberates him from his thought. he moves aside and when he comes back he sees that his plants are missing and the kids are standing there in a fighting position.

"if you want your plants back, you have to"

Arnav is so confused what this kids are trying to do. Nikhil tells his two friends to take care of sundari, as she is alone. He will face the shaitan by himself. He tells Arnav addressing Shaitanji that he knows his strength is his plants. If he wants his plants back he has to do something for him.

Arnav seems enjoying this little kid. He wants to know what he has to do. He tells him that Harpreet broke his pencil

"so"

The boy gives some salt pepper and green chilly,

"shaitanji, app harpreetko kha lijiye."

"Kha loon, who told you this?"

Shundari told him that shaitan eats up the naughty kids. He writes up in his note book that if he eats Harpreet, he will give him his plants back. He tells Arnav to sign there. A playfulness gathers his lips. He writes something and tells him to give it to sundari. His lips curl with a derisive smirk. Arnav and Nikhil make a deal to eat up Harpreet.

oyee sun, hey, listen, feeling so hungry, why to wait for Harpreet. Lets' eat you instead."

Nikhil gets scared

"you will not get your plants back."

Arnav is smiling derisively

Khushi can't read his letter as the handwriting is really bad. He wrote in the letter that how dare she told the kids that he is shaitan and she is sundari.

"At least Don't tell lies to the kids."

The kids want to know what the shaitan wrote, did he propose to marry her and what is her decision? Is she refusing? Khushi writes her reply and tells Nikhil to give him. but Nikhil is scared cause Shaitan is bhooki (hungry) now.

Nilhil gives Arnav Khushi's letter, where she wrote,

"Arnav shaitan, forgive me Singh Raizada, neither I said anything nor I told lie. Bachche maan ki sachche hote hai. The fact is the kids can see the real thing what we don't. They saw the truth that I'm sundari and you are shaitan."

Arnav writes his reply and give it to him. Nikhil wants to know what about his deal.

"here is your plants, and there Harpreet is gone."

Who told that ASR doesn't like kids. He is having fun with the kids. And I must say he is enjoying this exchanging of letters with his wife. Though the letters are not full of loving words, instead full of banters. But at least she started to communicate with him.

"Come back from the dream world Khushi. Don't make the kids like you. Yeh zindagi hai, koi."

She can't read.

"koi pariyoki kahani nahi hai"..Nikhil completes the sentence.

"rashto mai parliya tha'

Aww the poor guy is embarrassed for prying their privacy .

"sundari aur tum!, there are so many mirrors in the house, just take a look."

(haww, so much pretense! we know how you go nuts to see this sundari!)

Khushi infuriates to read his banter. She writes back to him.

Pause: why Arnav told Khushi to come back from the dream world? Did he mean that Khushi dreams to be with Shyam? Oh poor man, I wish if he would know Khushi's dream man is him but nobody else.

The letter bearer Nikhil bumps with Anjali on his way to deliver the letter. The letter drops in the floor. Anjali picks it and asks him where he is going? But he is in hurry, he has to send sundari's letter to shaitan fast.

"shundari, shaitan!"..anjali is incredulous. Nikhil tells her that Khushi didi is sundari and points at Arnav that he is shaitan. Anjali is baffled. She reads Khuhis's letter, where she wrote Arnav to see his face in the mirror too. She has come out from the dream world long gao. The person who got married with him, how can believe in fairy tales?. Anjali resents to read the letter. She senses Khushi's unhappiness. She tells Nikhil that she will give the letter to shaitan. She gets worried that things are not good between chottey and Khushi.. Why do they fight so much. She has to do something.

Love the letters conversations between Arnav and Khushi, at least they are talking, all thanks to kids especially Harpreet. I like Arnav becoming kid around kids. Quarrel is still going on, off course how could Arnav tolerate that Khushi is portraying Arnav as a beast. The Shaitan Sundari fight goes on. Thankfully Anjali get hold of a letter and decides to sort things out between them. I like Anjali for this, she is the elder and it's her job to stop her younger brother and sister from quarreling as once she mentioned it as her duty when she met Payal and Khushi in the mandir for a Teej Poojah. I wish Payal could have also joined hands with Anjali but she was busy in her life. I didn't like CV's siding Akash and Payal potential character.

Rajkumar ya Shaitan
Ye kahani thi Sundari aur Shaitan
Kaise aagaya beech mein Rajkumar
Sapnon mein aake karta tha pyaar
Haqeekat mein karta rehta tha takraar
Kaise ho sakta do shakal ek insaan
Pal mein Rajkumar, Pal mein Shaitan
Ek bagiya ko seenchta tha Shaitan
Sundari usey dekhke thi hairaan
Shaadi ke liye majboor karta tha
Apne gussey se darata tha
Vipreet do baaton se huyi pareshaan
Pal mein Rajkumar, Pal mein Shaitan
Translation:
This story was Beauty and Beast
How did the Prince come in the middle
In dreams he would come and love
In reality he would always have a spar
How can it be, two faces, one person
One moment Prince, One moment Beast
Beast would look after a garden
Beauty would see and be astonished
He would force her to marry him
He would scare her with his anger
She was upset with these two constrasting things
One moment Prince, One moment Beast

Fantastic poem Di, love it 👏 👏 👏

EPISODE 227

A Game just begins..

The game of Triquetra is sealing lips of Shyam's game plan as "Khamoshi Zehr-e-Qatil and quivering lips with Chanchal Shrarat of Khushi's game plan but both are working towards one target of desire "Arnav" .One for money and other for honey .Other side the focal point of this Triquetra , Anjali is paving the paths of Khushi's quivering naughty games towards her beasty Prince "Arnav" while awakening his guilty to realize his attitude towards his princess. "He is the way he is " [main aisa hi hoon..."and that is the key which two characters of this triquetra game Anjali and Khushi are totally oblivious with.

There are some major aspects to this post marriage track which I grabbed after watching beginning and now till the revelation of marriage.First as I said Shyam is going to be quiet to get ready for his next bigger attack triggered by Arnav after cutting his money supply. So his story will be out of sight for a while but his actions will increase the MU.Second and the most important is the "growth of Arnav and Khushi's understanding" physically and emotionally for each other. The concept is created marvelously through classic stories like Heer Ranjha and Beauty & the beast but the deliverance is done poorly .But I am thinking it in such a way, presently the story is concentrating on---emotional adventure of arnav-khushi basically peeling off the layering character of ASR and that's why in Heer Ranjha He gave her a strong confession though he denied it but in epi 226 ,it was Khushi who is starting realizing Arnav as her Rajkumar and that is a big piece of this puzzle. She knows from the bottom of the heart he cares and it was beautifully woven in the form of beauty and the beast. The story is going to enhance Arnav's character by revolving around him,"aap aise kyuon hain " will get some kick start in this track yet making him open up more to face the reality and facts of life in different angle just like she did while figuring out for herself by awakening this truth in him too that he is her Shaitan and Prince.

Their love grew slowly by peeling off piles of ostentatiousness around their hearts .Now they have grounded deep roots in each others though deep understanding in this path of love and marriage.

ASR was waiting anxiously for his princess by sleeping on his recliner, "God knows kab ayegi...". His thirsty eyes are gelled on the clock counting each second for her appearance. Khushi hesitantly comes in the palace of Beast, , make Laxmi to be quiet but before sending her off for the night she tells her the reasons of her busy schedule which will make her be able to fulfill her Baeast's wish"not coming in front of him"...Her announcemet surely brings a deep hurt on his face that because of him she will be killing herself in deep work. But my grabber is he is liking his name Laad Governor as Shaitan brings some lines on his forhead."Swami se acha tou LG hi tha..." is seeping here. Khushi watches Arnav sleeping for a while and then slowly walks away without disturbing him .

Symbolism and connection: Time is Nine which represents attainment, accomplishment, and success to achieve our goal and it gives us internal understanding of the desires which we want the most by use of intellectual power, influence over situations and things. Nine beseeches us to recognize our own internal attributes, and extend these abilities out into the world to make a positive, influential difference by embracing the facts setting aside differences..

Connection is easy as She comes in at this time while he sees the time first. She will achieve her goal of understanding him and bringing him to the reality table where he will explore his avenues to feel her importance in his life but both will achieve through Anajli.ONE THING is important in epi 36 When Khushi wakes up at 9:00 to get ready for office to see his LG by forgetting she has resigned and had a fight with him and here he has forgotten all to see her...Nice small touch. My IPK still has it...

This was the connection of Beauty & the Beast story, when Arnav looked at Khushi calmly with soft eyes, recollecting explanation of Khushi's Prince and beast ...before sleeping prince,... then again Khushi's look at his childish face... [masoom chehre keh peeche khoonkhar shaitan]..after he slept by recollecting his feelings from the Heer-Ranjha act. This is "Arnav-Khushi relation " from which Shyam is totally unaware of. Now the message was so sweet yet creators couldn't deliver it properly in this track.

Slowly the hatred line of ASR and Khushi is blurring. The SR night, they put themselves to sleep staring at each other in hatred. After that definitely they have come far enough traveled to stare at each other longingly before falling asleep.

Arnav and khushi, they are defenitely coming closer day by day. Be it under the mask of hatred and bickering, they are learning to live with each other at their worst possible avatars.

PONDERING CONNECTED DOTS:Her Tkwando sleeping habits and his hand holding habits are setting roots here which will be soon their needs.Today his heart was longing just to get a glimpse of her , later he will hold her hand after seeing and hearing her innocent acts with the fear of losing her because of his guilty and wrong doing.Regardless she is a betrayal for him..both were happy after seeing each other, when the distance in between them is less. This yearning and need will take him to talk to his sleeping beauty"jab tum soti ho tou tum se baat karna kitna aasan ho jata hai..."

Day starts with Dhabba service acts to make him realize how determined she is at her mission."Ziddi jo ho..." He dresses up and gets ready to leave for his office when Anjali finds her way to him.Anjali is the focal FOCUS of this triquetra game.Mr Main aisa hi hoon gets irritated yet gets awareness of the situation if he will not focus at it then the whole family can be aware of their relationship. My grabber is Anjali is seeing Khushi unhappy looking for her happiness. Both bro and sis are seeing the same but one is doing something yet others wanna remain oblivious about it.

Fabulous awakening in Anjali to see that Khushi will understand the meaning of her words more than Arnav. She comes to her gives her persaad and gives her a peek in Arnav's past, his childhood...Since then he is ,reserved, angry, caring ,and sensitive...who can't ignore love yet can't shower it either.Anjali gives some insights to win over Arnav's heart which doesn't want to accept her love but she can use this one weakness of him to win his love.

PONDERING:There is visible thing what I noticed, Anjali is not handicapped since her childhood so what happened later?????BAD story teller...

This news of Anjali the Chote doesn't know the love or afraid of love,I found it lack of consistency of writing and connectivity with certain aspects . Arnav not only knows the meaning of Love but also knows how to deliver it .The only difference is his way of deliverance which these two ladies are having hard time to grasp.Arnav was always like that even before his mom died as todays's FB and the later FB of his mother telling him the difference of thorns and roses. Her words"gussa bardashat karna aur pyar sood smait loatana" says a lot.He knows how to love and that's what he is missing..it's purity and Khushi touched him because of that but she is unable to see the depth of his love and so is Anjali. How come she forgot , he was looking for her like crazy after she left home."Di aap hi meri Duniya ho..." or who was taking care of her when she was fastening.."meri family aap ho.."He is not afraid, he is way bold just he doesn't do the way others do and that makes him afraid to be loved or love.No I disagree with that.He went too far for Anjali and sacrificed his life , his happiness for her though Khushi is his life and he couldn't let her go either.Khushi knows a lot of this , it's that she just can't connect all of it because of his confused behavior but when she will do, she will never back down to protect her man from all the harm. This is message of today's epi "Arnav's love expression and his heart"This is what I tried to connect with triquetra as Anjali is making him to understand but Khushi with her hint will fly and will be closer to her man's heart. Here comes La's words "tum samajh jaogi ASR samjhe ya na samjhe..."

He did love Khushi openly during Payesh wedding, was changing his entire nature for her or because of her with love, to be lighthearted, to laugh out loud at her, with her, tease her, enjoy small pleasure of life, but change is reaching to his core... ..

Pause here:Arnav and Khushi both had accepted the blessings from DM... via Anjali

PONDERING CONNECTED DOTS:This will lead to the scene where Anjali will leave Arnav's care in Khushi's hands after swami teasers. That day on ,she will be at peace that Khushi is the best partner of Arnav.

Now Khushi is changing her strategies and it's changing from "100 voltage to 10,000 voltage"plan. Another game plan has started between Arnav and Shyaam where Slither is working to win Arnav's confidence to gain the ultimate POWER, his rajneeti. Both plans have one point of confliction and that is Anjali.

Khushi's mission to irritate Arnav with Love to test his barrier is started...The intention is to pretend love , trouble him,nag him, aggrevate him ,provoke him just with love .Anything just by Love ...She is making her plans with her team mate, Lakshmiji...to welcome her Rajkumar in her hell of Love...

She starts her game in her style and this is the first time when Arnav watches her and holds her before she gets hurt."Normal tou tum sedhe se chal nahin saktin..uppar se yeh Duppata ohrd liya hai...Hatao isse..." as usual he showers his love on her through the one medium he uses to show every emotion, anger..Love his character here,he doesn't care about anything but her safety.Damn Kartavya...

Pause here: But if he knows she is clumsy and hasty in her life then why is he not believing her innocence. Also He wants her to remove her ill and goofy thoughts so she can see the "Real Arnav and his Love"..

The Gopi touch reminded me of Krishna and naughtiness...

She is fully determined to incite sleeping Lion's anger by making her eyes moist with onions...She was happy the other day while telling him she will be drown in pool's water...I think this is a right time to "chulu bhar paani main doob marne ka.." ...anyway she comes with her weapons "tears in her eyes" as unintentionally she knows these do affect him...but goes flat without putting her fight...after seeing his Massom face...and her eyes start seeing her Rajkumar who melts her heart in a jiff .Her eyes starts getting soften towards him and her hands softly starts removing his hair from his forehead. But soon she gets violated and shun by her own actions and goes back to her mission 101. That shows she will be opposed and shun by her own actions soon to show him real of HER and her love.

PONDERING CONNECTED DOTS:She will keep him hungry and will take care of him Dil se...

Gosh when she held his leg and he tried pulling and she tugs it back!! hilarious!!! and then the most funny dialogues from Arnav..."who the hell is swami???? And 'Zaroor Kuch gadbad hai' , him checking the towel and sniffing the perfume in the air just had me in splits!!

I practically had tummy ache for 'Swami se to achha tou Laad governer he tha' one liner came up!!

PONDERING CONNECTED DOTS: She apologizes after filling his shoes with mango juice and we had a yummilicious smile..

During shirt scene,Khushi realizes how angry Arnav was..!! he was actually too angry to scold her and quickly beat a retreat from the scene!Clumsy Khushi once again goes to Knock in to the door but this time he can't save her but shout out loud "Dhihan se..." a warning! Which makes her realize his ecstatic cares for her and she forgets the pain...That brief moment when love asserts itself despite the many hurdles put up on its way ...it was natural and her face gets soften seeing her Arnavji's care for her.

ASR never cringes or turns back when he accidentally shows his caring sideto her. He does it naturally and he neither hides it nor gets embarrassed displaying it. He voiced his care twice today.

Symbolism and connection:Arnav picks up the Red one,his fav..the color of passion ..power!! and yellow is Khushi's colour suiting her sunny disposition. As Anjali said "Khushi is searching for her own happiness in all these"

Pause here:The most intriguing part was Akash taking the keys with him ...somehow suggesting a lack of faith and trust between these two..Trust is a doubtful commodity in PAYASH life but Trust reigns supreme in Arnav-Khushi life..yes sometimes it does face its share of storms, tornadoes, Many a time it appears that they will succumb but have weathered out successfully so far and now Shyam awaits !

She is in green and he is in red...Be Alert !!!

MOMENT OF THE DAY

Love your review, pauses, symbolism and connection and pondering dots. Khushi is becoming his necessity. I wasn't aware that 9 o clock time hold immense importance in their love story. Thanks for sharing.
I feel upset for the shaitan to see longing expressions in his eyes, restlessness in him for his beauty. She is princess and the Rajkumar loves her, it's just that he has a different way to express his love just like Anjali told Khushi.
I love Khushi back to her lively nature wearing green to irritate Laad Governor with love and endearments. Lol 😆

episode 227

"god knows kab aaygi!" god knows when she'll come, the episode started with asr waiting for khushi to come to their bedroom, wanting to see her despite having been pretty nasty to her a couple of days ago. a sense of someone becoming part of you, your day incomplete without them coming through, even as he lies awake on his uncomfortable chaise longue, his eyes darting to the hideous multi-coloured mobile which she has added, defiantly altering his room to accommodate her. he the lover of black, white, grey, at best some dull brown, sober blues, muted olive green now in a blast of colour. they are on his walls, adorning his poolside, on his bed (poor fellow, the pink floral sheet next to his brown one, so telling of two really differently made people), and he can do nothing about it.

but back to "god knows kab aaygi," and the outburst "but who cares" (r rolling, utterly endearing), i have to say i can't think of a single tv hero whose dialogues were as natural and perfectly in line with persona. he is westernised, sharp, a man of few words, clipped and non fussy, an urban soul. his words are from his life, his times... english comes in naturally, expresses him as he is, his language may not be pure and shuddha, but it is energetic and urban, mixing a smattering of english into hindi or using hindi words most naturally in an english sentence.

despite sad sighs from purists, i think the "mixed" language is here to stay and more and more a sign of our times... the english having gone everywhere and spreading their language, it sort of crossed over and began to belong to all of us and we speak it our way... and now that the colonial days are kind of over and there is an ease with one's own culture, not considering it in any way infra dig, it's almost cool to mix both tongues. i see it in my land all the time, and elsewhere too. in fact, i speak this combined language myself, my bangla has some english in it (makes many people cringe), and when i write i use words like pyaar nafrat mohabbat ramanchi quite easily right here, all the time.

asr's sentence construction is matter of fact and far from flowery, and totally contemporary; another matter that he says all this with the air of a nawab and you want to rush and become part of his darbar, an aura of ancient indian nobility, its best side that is, somehow clings to him though he is oh so westernised really. and no matter what his state of mind or the story... never, not once, does his dialogue sound thobby, out of place, unreal, or filmi. huge salaams to hitesh kewaliya and team... they were superb with dialogues. each and every character was well thought out in terms of the spoken word, especially the very down to earth and "normal" sounding hero who actually was the most larger than life character of the entire show.

"ab sundari ko shaitan ke mahal mein jana hai..." now beauty has to enter beast's castle... she's pretending she doesn't care too. yet she's most irritated he's gone to sleep. they haven't spoken to each other for a while, she's wilting without him... a funny fear of this angry man she loves and a sense of dejection that he didn't want to see her.

at this point, there's only one thing to do, turn to the goat who comes calling and have a hearty chat, while the who cares man must open his eyes and see her the moment he hears her voice.

and later... till he's seen her and she him, where is sleep. where is peace.

227 is officially the opening of what came to be known as the swami track. the first time i saw it, i laughed a lot, but also got angry, felt disconnected, did not see what it had to do with the two characters i had gotten to know. why this break into meaningless laughter.

while reading aarwen's take, it suddenly struck me... this was not just ha ha funny. this was two people in a terribly tricky situation, who desperately love and need each other, who though living in the same room for days, cannot do what they want to do with the other... love, make love, discover each other physically and emotionally... do all the things a newly married couple who adore each other might do.

along with an emotional restlessness and the anger they both feel, a sexual tension and hankering is growing. a need.

this perhaps is one way of engaging. its craziness makes it special. exclusive. and breathtakingly intimate. this is perhaps the instincts' way of devising the mating dance... a foreplay as it were. we have seen them before hurling water at each other, again in that intimate, i want to reach you touch you sort of way... that time he was doing crazy things to bring her back home.

since the tumultuous evening of valentine's day, every now and then their true feelings has come careening out and the dam has almost broken... holi, heer ranjha. but just as surely, after that has come anger and distance. because one thinks the other is a harlot, and the other thinks she's been dragged into hell by a monster.

there's no resolution, no let up. the tension keeps mounting.

khushi is mad at him and wants revenge. but note, she is not exactly doing really terrible things to him. now suppose it were shyam who was bothering her, would she do cute little things like hanging up salman poster, taking over his bed, washing clothes in his pool or would she be slapping him and running out of the place?

here instead, she is "ragging" him, roughing him up a bit, a way of "touching" him, and enjoying herself hugely while doing it too. by her proactive dive into revenge mode she is actually keeping the conversation alive, the emotions warm and in place. and he? if lavanya did these things to him would he tolerate it? would he play along? never... his instinct is picking the cues alright and he is playing back with her... now angry, now fretful, now pulling, now hauling, but never ever letting go.

this is too exciting to walk away from, that is why neither lets it go... not till the day on the bridge and the "truth" is out.

there was no way of keeping the conversation normal, so this was the way... one of the many ways in which lovers speak and flirt when normal channels are not available.

after the first scene, came two people looking at each other yearningly before either could sleep, then before setting out to "kill him with love" her convulsive need to touch his hair as he sleeps there looking vulnerable and lovely... all say the same thing. love. and these tender moments give the structure of the episode its depth... you know everything is really an intimate communication between two lovers.

love has strange ways of speaking. sometimes it says swami.

his eyes opened the moment she passed him, and of course, he stared at her with endless longing as she slept... no matter what the misunderstanding, the chhap gaya hai, the whatever... the "khushi!" he'd connected to his dil ki dhadkan... that truth asserts itself over all else.

and so with her.

first look in the morning at her bed naturally... but she's gone. "subah subah dabba service shuru ho gaya... pata nahin yeh natak kab tak chalega..." he knows this is a natak. not for a second is he fooled, but he does play along.

okay, breathing break. couldn't get a cap, so swift was the slight flapping of jacket and putting on of button. but i am at the foot of the steps, dead.

telling meeting with di who is now resolved to interfere a bit and ask if all is well. the intercepting of the beastly letter has her thinking. i am trying to hear her, but please must a man look so deadly even in red tika? partucularly so in fact. brown suit, red teeka, should be a fashion disaster but aaargh.

daljeet is a lovely anjali and the bro sis vibe consistently beautiful and believable, though i am a rough tough sort so anjali's gentleness and cheek stroking can drive me nuts at times, but it's such a lovely way of showing how much he actually needs to be shown love too, though he doesn't say so... contrary nature, you'll show me love, i'll harrumph and stalk off but you'll know i am thrilled inside and really thrive on"laad" from those who matter to me, and i don't need too many such people, in fact i won't allow too many such, just one... or maybe two.

anjali shoos away her irritating brother, after his utterly devastating, "main aisa hi hoon" i am like that (yeah he is and please do not try to change him anyone), and that gorgeous, "di jo bolna hai clearly bolo". then she comes to khushi and while explaining her strange bro's ways, gives her the deadliest weapon to attack her rakshas with... love. seems he can't, never could handle being petted and loved...

di explains, he puts up a badi si diwar, a huge wall, if you evince lub, but if you work with him his way, you'll reach him and get to see a new asr... aha! "ab ek nayi khushi kumari gupta singh raizada bhi nazar aayenge.

toh yeh hai shaitan ka asli raaz!" now a new kkgsr will be visible too, so that's the beast's secret.

next thing you know, she has a long ghungat on and dragging his feet, he leaps up, sees her new look freaks out... goes to check his shoes... he knows the minx he's married. kuch dala hai kya! a brusque question, and very cleverly writers connect us to one of the cutest and most love releasing days in all of ipk, episode 75, mango juice in shoe because she couldn't get orang, ohhh will he ever forget that day, his heart did such a flip, and his smile had to lopside.

we are reminded by just that one dialogue that this is kkg, she is quite capable of these childish plans and extra filminess. in fact, she thrives on this whole thing.

she's all sweetness, he's hassled... he can sense a full blown strategy here. "kyunki aap hamare pati hain... aur yeh hamara kartavya hai," because you are my husband and this is my duty, she avers demurely to his ragged question... why are you taking off my shoe?

"no, i don't want any kartavya!" oh that hindi mix.

as she goes to leave, ready to dash into the door, a "khushi!" and a lunge forward to make sure she doesn't get hurt, and into the comedy gets mixed a stroke of "i love you dammit".

"normally toh tumse chala nahin jata, upar se dupatta or liya... hatao isse," sublimely brusque the voice. normally? takes years to know a person that well, but in just six months he knows all about her "normally" and of course being laad governor he has the right to tell her to take off her ghungat in a loud commanding voice. lovely.

i did always like his attitude to women... no need to change and do things to fit in with anyone or some archaic tradition, be your own person, do as you please.

"saath nibhana sathiya," wife is delighted with the results of her simple ploy. and dialogue writers have a lot of fun setting up a cool slick and filmi to and fro between the two.

"kya naya drama hai?" what's this new drama? aaah the voice, a funny sort of patience in it, he is going to put up with the drama, it's better than the silence.

"oh but it's been on for a while." she deliberately misunderstands. gh was writer of that serial too, and gopi vahu was pretty popular in her time, makes me wonder what the ladkiyan of my country want.

"i am talking about your drama."

"but mine is not that, taking care of you is my kartavya."

"DAMN THE KARTAVYA!" man stalks out, door is banged. i am again dead. who says death is forever, some you must return from again and again only to seek the pleasure of death once more.

wife gets ready to use his allergy to love as her "ramban davai"... she has found a path to reach him actually and stay very close, striking what she aims at... his heart.

next morning, all set to drive him nuts, she got blown away just looking at him. then she told herself to be strong and attack... be strong, huh? so you have feelings for this nasty man who has hauled you to the temple, turned your life into a mess... niiice.

"humney kaha uthiye na, swami!" i said, wake up, swami!

"swami... what...!!!" of course, swami had to look ddg in that flopped hair, just up from sleep state. and my favorite part of barun's face, his asymmetrical right lip, pulled down at the corner, at its sexiest in the swami days.

"aap ke 'what the' ke karan thandi ho rahi hai..." because of your 'what the' the tea's getting cold. shudh pure hindi with a little asr in it. ufff.

then came another classic: who the hell is swami?!!!

only barun can make that sound cute, confused, maddening, hot, little boy, all man. i am seriously considering upgrading myself from fangirl to groupie.

"aap, aur kaun," you, who else, countered the fiend in green swirling alluring churidar kurta, veil adorning head.

sparkling dialogues, constant to and fro... "ghungat hatao, humey swami mat bulao!" remove the veil, don't call me swami... no please, thank you... only roughness and intimacy.

"kaise na bulao?" how not to call you? more drama, more foreplay...

"yeh toh hamare kshma maangne ka..." this is my way of asking for forgiveness.

"kya maangne ka...?!!" the harvard grad is flummoxed by the shudh bhasha.

dialogue writer has a bit of fun with teh real shudh bhasha speaker of the show, the totally croked shyam... and teh actor's name is tossed into madam's dialogue... an "abhaas" of whatever is mentioned.

"swami!! oh nnnot again... stop it just stop it..!!" he can't take it.

"humne aap ka tauliya aur itr bahar rakha hai, aap nahane jaa sakte hain..." i have kept your towel and perfume, please go for your bath, says teh supreme patni/wife of the raizadas.

"haaanh?" is all the articulate tycoon can manage. i have a feeling had they been in a "normal" marriage too, he'd have not expected his wife to do such things. very cutely self sufficient this 27 year old... i like.

"pss.. pss parrfume..." khushi is incorrigible, and sanaya unsurpassable here.

he goes ballistic checking... "zaroor kuch gadbad hai", bet there's some hanky panky. i am thinking of the lovely gadbad episodes straight after teej... when she was so humg up on some gadbad that had happened.

"gadbad ho gayi, jiji... tumne uska naam le liya. ab saari raat humey neend nahin aayegi... baar baar ussika khayal aata rahega."

in this episode, complete gadbad with his life.

the poor man looks at her irate, and snarls, "swami se achha toh laad governor he tha..." laad governor was better than swami... so he is willing to take one of her names. actually, she has given him that name first, and he has sort of gotten attached. she is "pagal" withan amused smile, he is "laad governor " with clenched teeth... another way of saying darling, sweet heart, lover, whatever.

asr is hot and hotter. kkgsr is fun and games and sexy...

the fiend dances. the beast discovers colour in his wardrobe now. "what the!" at another level of pure sexiness is blasted out.

shudh hindi torture continues, shy and feminine "aapatti" fearing wife says, "aapki kameez kissi poorani film ki tarah lagti thi...", your clothes looked like some old film... she has thrown 'em all away... he is not throttling her, just glaring as she plays "kaanto wala phool game... swami, this is love...

as she leaves, of course, she walks into the door. and he yells, "dhyan se!", watch out... he hates watching her get hurt. he knows he's hurt her, he knows there was something wrong, galat in the way this happened. even if she were the harlot he believed her to be. most important, if he had his way, if he were not the man who took all responsibility on himself, he'd never ever ever hurt her. try throwing away even the sweetest gentlest man's entire wardrobe and see what he does.

she hears his concern and she has to smile. though she covers it up with a phoney "shukriya" quickly.

toward the end of episode, some more rambans at the viewer.

asr talks to akash... uff.

asr yells at hp, "JAAAO!" again i leave the planet.

and yes, he was bare torso, the flattest stomach, the most toned arms and clavicle, the towel there to make it all look hotter, hair wet and tousled, anger in his eyes and stance, right lip dragged down and demanding swoons.

it's a good thing she had her dupatta on... otherwise foreplay would have gone much further than shudh tv audience can take.

and finally, the ultimate torture and loss of identity for our hero... he is in red, she is giggly and triumphant in green... go and stop, constant signaling.

two actors, perfectly matched in their ability to portray a range of feelings and delightfully versatile, kept sexy alive and kicking despite the ha ha. this is really really tough actually. comedy has a brain thing to it and sex a gut thing, in most cases, the brain tends to drown out the gut in our world where such a premium is put on being sharp and witty, a premise of the brain. the writing was easy and light and the actors made it sparkle and dance.

sorry to say, one of the clearest indications that creatives were getting lost... all the trp and channel interference and demand had put too much pressure, the first crack that showed... babli.

and if you inspected a bit more, you'd see akash and payal's character being pushed around, not really headed anywhere. i am the last one to quibble about pure language and stuff but what is "aap ne meri subah bana di?" i bet none of the dialogue guys wrote that... direct translation from angrejiii? but mano kept my heart with her "kishmishes."

i watched 50 this morning, when khushi left for lucknow... there were several separate segments... nani la mami and cooking, kkg leaving, shyam looking for her, di and ar at lakshminagar. the episode tied everything up so neatly, easy flow into each other, wonderful use of dialogues, no lose ends, such great use of asr/anjali/shyam in front of kkg's house, anjali as usual hiding from reality behind puja... these were creatives fresh and inspired, interested in every second of the episode. unfortunately, forced marriage on, that interest waned.

Stupendous review Di.
You are right, Khushi won't ever to irritate Shyam like she do Arnav. Neither Arnav behaved with Lavanyah like he behaves with Khushi. They are understanding each other and their relation of being husband and wife, friends and companions is evolving. They are very comfortable with each other and that's why they are very different with each other irrespective to others. Love can reduce anyone to anything.
I totally agree with Rhea Di take for introducing Swami track. Both Arnav and Khushi are upset from each other with their own reasons, they can't go away from each other neither come close because of misunderstandings and so to bring everything normal Khushi took another way to irritate him than ignoring him and not showing her face to him because it kills them.

"kshama kijiye swami" .. playful satisfied smile behind the retreating form of a disgruntled man unsure of how to ward of this particular form of attack.. never having played this game of love before Arnav bitwa is losing badly.. If her intent is to irritate Khushi has managed to score perfect 10.

Mamaji mentions a bull. Charging towards the hapless victim in red. Me imagining Khushi bowling over a helpless Arnav. Not just by her mesmerizing look but by the very dimaag he mocked she did not possess.. Shatir may not be but crazy is his wife's dimaag.. By the way I find mamaji's character very real. Doesn't every household have a well meaning unobstructive mamaji who cracks jokes at the opportune moment, perhaps reasons out with his hot headed wife behind close door all the while remaining stoically respectful of elders and tradition but open to the whims of the modern younger generation?

Nani's wide unbelieving eyes hiding the laughter.. "Chote kya hui gaya aapko?" "Zarur Khushi bitya ki soch hogi" .. Special Puja a wife has done for her husband.. Grimace.. Music trying to add suspense and tension "O really (And like indi di puts it.. in uff accent with the rrr's rolling") .. "Subah se tum mujhe kya bula rahi ho?".. Feigned ignorance.. and the revelation.. "Swami! Subah se mujhe swami swami bula rahi hai.." Even mamiji is compelled to crack a smile at this.. I found this whole scene adorable ..hahaha.. Poor Arnav bitwa has no idea his irritated confession would cause his family members to snigger and giggle like teenagers.. Next the bahu wants to taste everything the son eats.. amused faces all around but everyone giving space to the married couple.. light family moment.. heartwarming in a way to see how everyone is by now used to and enjoys Khushi's sanka (maybe as much as their son does guardedly in his heart) .. Maybe they even silently wonder how she gets away doing all this with the no nonsense man.. how she manages to get his guard down and have him display this range of reactions..emotions..

Khushi follows him with a sing song .."swamiji rukiye".. As usual a delightfully lost Akash who has no idea what his role is soon going to become in this show gets to express a befuddled face but bhai is in no mood for explanation and demands a shirt. Good touch that he is shown wearing a white shirt the style Akash wears in the next scene..

His patience sorely tried Arnavji is in no mood to bear his wife's craziness anymore.. Am not really sure what Khushi was trying to do with the tika. I think she put it on her forehead and then wanted to trick Arnavji into putting some on but in her childish prank did not realize the magnetic tug proximity to this man would have.. Had it been anyone apart from her very own laad governor would she have done this.. definitely not.. So whatever is the reason we end up getting this scene..

As she pulled him towards her, tilted his head and bent forward as if it was the most natural act on the earth even his "what the" had to die down..time stood still as if carved in stone.. seconds not willing to run along but wait and witness love .. The acidity all but forgotten shows up in this precious moment.. But luckily is not brushed away.. is given acknowledgement.. meant to linger in a man.. dazed..affected..by what touch his body wants.. the intimacy his eyes are screaming out for.. maybe the sublime caress his lips long for.. the unblinking eyes held a craving which has me spellbound.. there is desperation to be close to someone he is passionately attracted towards.. unsuccessful attempt at gulping down this intense feeling.. a pair of quivering lips..no idea how it would make her go weak in the knees.. not wanting to let go.. struggle to move apart.. incoherent in her thoughts but the need to touch..unerring sense of wanting to prolong the moment of closeness .. even as she moves her head up her fingers don't leave cradling his face. delicate shapely fingers brushing the coarse stubble of a perfectly angled jawline.. Wide eyes as if his soul has been touched.. "Khushi?" saying so much.. desperate to hear so much.. She tries to continue her pretense but for now he keeps quiet.. an air of being taken a back by all that he experienced a second back.. Till the control breaks and anger returns.. In reply to which comes.. "Itna Krodh swami?!" .. said in such a playful tone. And Sanaya's smile in all this is infectious.

While we wait for the Bubbly to come burst our serial's happy bubble.. I had not noticed earlier that naniji did mention the tuition again.. And Khushi replies no classes on weekends.. Mamiji has a predictable taunt about the schooling of the Gupta sisters and naniji immediately comes to their defence.. Naniji's character was very well etched in IPK. Stern , unyielding , reprimanding when needed but fun, gentle, loving at other times. Her initial dislike of Lavanya transforming to acceptance on seeing her embrace the household was very positive to watch. And the scene where she introduces Dadi to her grown up grandson had the subtle pride... Look at how the shattered boy has risen in my care and turned into this intelligent loving man standing in front of you.. It was my hand above his head that enabled him to reach this day when his strong able hands lead us all in this household..

I know she is a little girl but I don't like Bubbly. Not really her fault. I don't know why our tv serials and movies mostly always have to show kids so over smart. Why can't they be normal once in a while? Mrs A I would feel sorry for your future days if I wasn't so caught up feeling sorry for myself foreseeing the days Ms B brings with her.

In an office boardroom we get a glimpse of the business tycoon ASR.. All his figures and charts ready to crash down to the faint tinkling of a girl's silver anklets.. "You re kidding me.." Shake of the head.. restrained anger.. she is really testing his patience today.. Personally I think Khushi went too far to follow him to office..And barging into a meeting is just childish.. That Arnav puts up with this and secretly loves all this craziness in you is proof he loves you Khushi.. please please see it. Perhaps a husband wife quarrel brought out in the open or is it simply a concerned wife wanting her husband to eat? Either way a bit embarrassing to see her act this way. Unlike the people in the room i feel like I am prying in someone's personal life.. By the way the side actors are quite bad in my opinion..

Dragging her to the same room from where he has dropped her..challenged her.. taunted her.. but this time aware of the outside eyes.. still an attempt to control.. "what the hell are you doing Khushi?" But how can she answer you swamiji? did you tell her why you dragged her to a mandir and married her? .. Oh why did they make her call it pusta? At least you can call it pasta Khushi.. He asks her to leave and you can see how fed up he is.. One thing I noted was that unlike before when Khushi would be in tears trembling cowering in front of an angry Arnav Singh Raizada now Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada is no longer afraid of him.. My heart wants to believe that she is like the naughty kid who knows that she would get a scolding for the trick she is playing but she wont be hurt.. And however mad at her he is Arnav will no longer hurtle out insults reducing her to tears.. trust and security has tip toed in their relation without each of them knowing.. and it is here to stay..

A random person stops a still smiling Khushi and asks about jalebi.. she will send it.. Maybe they wanted to show that her dabba business is serious or something but it is too random for me to find this significant enough.. sorry but am not too impressed by it..

"Sir apne Khana khaye?" 😕.. My poor poor ASR have you not heard the saying "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned?" There is so much yet in store for you and for us.. wait and watch..

Fantastictake Di.
Khushi has the power and can dare to irritate ASR. Arnav temper was rising and was clearly depicted in his red avatar when his family was giggling and enjoy khushi's latest shaitaani. Even Mami smiled, she always look forward for Khushi's cute mischievous acts. Khushi is the best entertainer.
Love the tikka scene, Khushi again manage to mesmerize and spell bound Arnav. The intimacy was very hard to ignore and that's why he walked out.
Khushi did cross a line for carrying out her swami act and lovely wife role in the office but she don't care anymore. She knew that Arnav will not like her in the office but still she came to office, the Singh Raizada addition in her name give her a lot of strength and stubbornness which is essentially needed to handle great ASR. Before it was only understanding and now it's trust and security which has strengthen their relation. Next will be utmost care.
