Episode 114

Jaldbazi kay faislay

Her head bent, her shoulders drooping, She nods her capitulation ... And the man she has agreed to marry, slyly gloats his treacherously won siege ...

Her Amma's wide eyes are soft with tears, her mouth slack with disbelief, as she turns and looks at her older daughter ... Payal's snuffs her heartbreak in the tremble of her lips and rushes to support her sister by her shoulders ... least she collapses ... Can Buaji not see the tears in Khushi's eyes ? Does she really not know why Khushi has said yes ? Does this have be done now, at a time like this, with such coercion ?

Buaji sees none of it ... She doesn't see her sister in laws teary apprehension, she does not hear the sob in Payal's throat, she does not see the tears in her Babuas's hollow eyes, she does not see the desolate numbness in her Titliya's submission. She most definitely does not see the the brazen, shameless swagger, the insidious squeezing, by he man she has foisted on her niece.

Her mission accomplished, she is once again the loving aunt, thrilled that her niece has fulfilled her helpless brothers dreams. She scurries them to seek blessings from Devi Maiya and Babuji. Khushi performs like a robot ... Going through the motions ...

His Di can sense it. Something is definitely not right. She knows her brother well. He seems positively morose. Not at all a person one would suspect had just announced his intent to get married, not more than a couple of hours ago. She knows he is definitely not the kind to go around humming his happiness at the thought of his soon to be engagement, but she really had not expected this kind of restlessness, this lack of enthusiasm. After all, wasn't it entirely his decision to get engaged ? Nobody had forced him ... So shouldn't he be ... Happy ? At the very least ...

She does not beat around the bush. If only she knew how hard her questions were for him to answer ... How close to the truth they were hitting ... Tum khush toh ho na ? Tum nay yeh faisala jaldbazi mein toh nahi liya ... Yeh faisla Dil say liya hai na ?

Jaldbazi ... Khush ... Dil ...

He is standing, leaning into her, her face cupped in his hands, his lips a breath away from hers ...

He does not even think of the moment when he had stood with his fingers wrapped around Lavanya hand, answering an excessively nosey, uncouth guest, Dehakyiay aap ka naati kya kar raha hai ... Shaddi kar raha hai ...

How can he tell Di how he got from that one moment to the next, to the one she had witnessed ... How can he tell her when he himself is not sure how he got from the moment imprinted in his memory to now ?

He was the man, the same man who had committed he would never marry, who had gone and held Lavanya's hand and proclaimed his intent ... Han Di, mein Lavanya say Shaadi kar raha hoon ... What had driven him ? How can he tell her that it was not Lavanya that he had seeked ... But it was someone else he was running away from ...

How can he tell her that he is a coward ... That he would rather run than expose him self to what this girl was making him feel ... That he had glimpsed into his heart and had got cold feet ... That he was terrified of what he was capable of feeling ... How can he tell his Di that he does not have it in him to open his heart to anymore pain ... All he knows is that with her, he feels a million different things and without her, he is numb ... And numb he understands well ... Numbness he can deal with ...

How can he tell his Di that this was not a Faisla at all ... Jaldbazi ka or otherwise ... This was no decision ... There was no thought process ... There was no thinking through ... This was a knee jerk reaction ... A perverse self-preservation ... An obstinate rebellion ... A panicked rashness ...

Khush ? How can he be kush ? He has just broken her heart a million different ways ... And still not found the peace he had been seeking ... He had thought that if he severs her from his life ... He can move on, grain some control ... It will not be easy ... It will take time.

He turns his back to his Di and lies, Mein khush hoon.

Payal, sits behind her, oiling her hair ... She wants to know if Shyamji the one .. Is Khushi prepared to spend the rest of her life with him ? She uses words like puri zandigee ... Hoping her little sister understands the enormity of the decision. But again, if this is a decision, a jaldbazi ka faisla, it is not Khushi's decision. She has merely collapsed under coercion, bowed because of daughterly love. She has payed of debt and all are happy. Tum nay dekhna nahin, sab kit nay khush thay ? Aur tum? Payal questions, knowing full well the answer.

Khushi looks at the payals on her feet ... How did she end up here ? How did she let herself get so involved ... Sometimes there are no answers ... Like how did she fall in love with most hard hearted, difficult to understand, unavailable man ... She had not set about to do this ... Somethings just happen ...

But also, somethings are just not meant to be. How foolish of her to even dream for a second ... She has to forget him and move on. And what better way than this ? A new chapter in her life. So what if she does not want to ... So what if her heart is breaking ... As long as everyone else is happy, she will learn to be happy ... Isn't that what she always does ? Isn't that what her name is ... Khushi ? And really, why should she worry ? Hasn't Devi Maiya herself mapped this for her ? It must be a sahee faisla ...

Khushi's Engagement PART 1

Buckle up for the long ride...

The sun is ready with new beginnings of rearranging relations by humans and by Divine Fate.Lets see how these round up now as Mahurat is waiting for no one or some one is not waiting for Mahurat.

Two parallel scenes where two sisters know something is wrong with their siblings.

Anjali,"your eyes can't lie to meWhy do I feel that you are not happy"

"kahin tumne yeh faisla jaldbaazi mein toh nahin liya na?" you didn't make hasty decision , did you, asks di.

He stumbles with those luscious lips in his mind which are still lingering their thirst in her conscious.He has no answer ...

"chhote, hume batao... tum khush toh ho na?" chhotey, tell me, you are happy arent't you?

He turns around as always he does that during running from the truth.

"of course, di." Liar liar heart on fire...can't even act prpoerly

"main khush hoon." [I am happy.] His Di's happiness is more important but today it doesn't seem that important...

Di is happy and yes when chat is about wedding so Jijaji will be peeking in..."chote, jab faisle dimag se nahin dil se liye jaate hain na, tou sab accha hota hai." [chhotey, when decisions are taken with heart and not from the brain, then all goes well. ] .hmm...

Pause here:So you think your decision by your heart is right...you are so not there nave girl..Your scoundrel hubby is lusting over others behind your heart my dear.

In life heart and brain plays role together that's why Khushi with heart and Arnav with Brain goes together and it shows the importance of both.

Other sister with concerns,"tumne yeh faisla dil se liya hai na?" you've taken this decision from the heart, haven't you? Payal asks khushi.

Jiji, I have decided now, and did you see how happy everyone was and that is important for her more than her own happiness...

"aur tum?" and you, Payal abides by with her concerns.

Khushi with pain behind her mask trying to hide but Payal keeps drilling with questions,are you sure? ..didn't you take any hasty decision, did you?

And that took khushi to the memories of the poolside with her anklets, where she has this new experience with the man of her Dhak Dhak...

Khushi with her brain<"kuch cheezain bas yoonhin ho jaati hai... bina soche... bina samjhe..."
[certan things just happen like that, without thinking or making sense...]

Payal does not pay attention and talks about her engagement... and Khushi abhorrently hears him announcing, "hum shadi kar raha hain..." [I am marrying with La]

She with excruciating pain within sees him with La but he is looking at her why? And that confuses her more...
Rabba vey rubs in with his reverbrating words "you mean nothing to me"
She answers payal with firm tone ,"whatever has happened, I am ready to forget it" and that is Khushi's trait unlike ASR who has just anger on his nose...

Symbolism and connection: She is unaware of his reality as you remember her reflection in his room while he was coughing as she was not looking at the mirror..delusional judgement ..if she knew she will take care of him by herself and she will do that by smacking his face [love that part]

Khushi is determined to move on,"anyway, i am not going there any more."which makes Payal confuse...

Khushi ,"Devi Mayya hain na, woh sab sanmbhal lainngi. [DM will take care of everything."]

Pause here:How badly she needs alone time with her mother DM who is always there for her ...One day Devi Mayya will make him to be "Hamesha Sanbhalta rahoonga"

What a night ?The night which ends with despair on both sides under the stars with their parents along with their hearts who can feel it and know better now and one day she will command and he will obey with big SMILEand with that message this night is prevailing to its end..What a Diwali?...

Shyam with Slouchy time ticking moves to fulfill his lusty desires as quick as possible and for which he as a benevolent man traps his RaniSahiba in a plan of charity for money and man handles Babuji to use him as a pawn to reach to his target.

Lamha-e-Fikeriya[Thinkable moment]:He tricked Anjali for money who gets money each month from Arnav to buy the ring so technically ring is from Arnav and he is delivering it to Khushi as a family member but Anjali puts this ring on Khushi when Arnav finds out what a thought but making me happy...

Symbolism and connection:Anjali pulls half way mirror down with his reflection on it.Connection she knows the truth what happened here but leaves it half way to remain blind at the top they both are facing each other it means they both are aware of it .No wonder why he knew no matter what will he do she will be with him'.

New morning with rising sun and a lots of shine but not for a girl whose night is not done yet.Khushi affected by recent events but her resilient nature was ready to move on yet again stopped by Amma asking her to make a call to say good bye to the Raizadas.Killing BG music increases her abhorrence.

Khushi,"nahin humain nahin jana..." [no, I won't go] she says to Buaji, but as all the things mean opposite in their case same here...didn't she want to go?

Buaji,"so don't go",

Khushi,"haan nahin jana... hum kyon jaayein taake phir se woh humse buri tarah se baat kar sakain," [why should I go so he can again talk to me badly.]

Not talking [she looks so cute saying that very much a child with resilience with whatever attitude] and seems not so convincing even though she's been called a gold digger ,being muddled ,insulted and at the top he told her "she means nothing to him"[koi matlab nahi'] and

still wants to be with him, muttering to herself"not going".Awww, she misses him, he misses her, what say...stubborn kids...
