My intention was not at all to imply that you should give up your prize. I am sure that all three judges voted ethically in the categories involved for each OS.

I was curious too, and that is why I asked about it, especially since the judge mentioned it clearly in her comment. It indicated that the judges had seen it.

However as you said, Amethyst's comment does explain a lot.

I just wish this had been better managed, with some clarity being shown in thought as well as practices.

I had expected some response from the TM but it really does not look like that is happening.

Preet - that is a beautiful banner and I love your honesty. And you are right , let's just end it here.

I saw the scores and was aghast at both the scores for the title n the language

The language could certainly not be faulted, especially when compared with many others who have been awarded higher marks on language

Regarding the title, Love is...quotes are famous

And to me the title was inspiration, pure and simple - that cartoon strip Love is...really does encapsulate true romance - love in all the little things we do for each other...everyday

I think the biggest mistake that was made by the organizer was to say the names of the judges the day the contest was announced.

I think the right thing to do was not to say who were the judges, so no one would have known, and no one would have had doubts.

And the organizer should have told to the judges to not disclose to anyone that they were judging the contest, so that everything would be gone smoothly, or atlest i wish.

@bold: I havent read any other OS. So, I cannot raise doubts on the other scores...

@bold and italics: See, some difference is bound to be there. We cannot really expect perfect inter-rater reliability in an IF OS Contest setting. I have an issue with the entire scoring for Entry 20 by Judge Orange. I only mentioned grammar as it was the most objective of all.

@bold and underline: You see I am a blank slate out here. I dont know anything about the rules/ regulations/ guidelines for voting/scoring of these OSes. I came on this thread by pure chance. So, what should have been done (like you have mentioned here) or what could be done in the future (as appy_indy-KD mentioned in the post below yours) doesnt concern me at all.

I had a question and I raised it. Because I dont remember when was the last time I accepted something just because I was expected to accept it, well except for my name as it was given to me before I was even born 😳

Btw, the banner you made is beautiful and I hope the writer for Entry 20 posts her OS soon.

I am not the most patient person out there. I hope the TM answers soon because I do not really want to lurk on this thread for long.

I don't think so, because i would have put the same effort even without knowing the judges names, and i'm saying it now and i have said it before, i was not even cared a bit of who will judge my OS, not that i don't respect them, but for me and i think for many of us, what matter are readers thoughts, just that.
