But I had a count on each vote. The winner got less votes compared to others. Anyways, congrats to u for winning d first runner-up. Maybe they were fair at your end.

If a known writer (by ''known'' I mean one who has substantial number of readers) starts a new story, won't her existing readers follow it just because that particular writer is writing it? And go on praising it endlessly? Won't the judgement of that new story's worth be influenced by that writer's earlier stories?

I think she ment if a writer wins a story which had ended like 2 years ago but gets a award now because that was strange. Why would a story which have ended like 2 years ago get a award now? for me it should have givien when the story have ended that year. There is no wrong reading from a known writer but I also think someone else should also have same chance like anyone else. Is that wrong for me to think like that?

like said, feel bad for you but you know how it works here, that is why I am fed up also because sometimes it feels like the ones who are not that known or not known the famous writers dont have chance like some other

I agree that FF awards should be year based.

It is a public forum sweetheart, you can't force a story on someone. If someone else is taking the route of being friends with ''popular writer'' and then promoting stories through them, you should be happy that you have readers of your own; readers who are with you because of ur story/ writing skills and not because of some XYZ.

Nah, you are not wrong when u say new writers should get recognised. There should be some mechanism for them to reach more number of readers. U name that mechanism, ''Awards'' or something else.

@ Sonia hats off to you, at least you had the guts to talk openly about it, I'm not talking about the awards but in general, you are so true a lot of things don't work in a fair way here. I too know many writers who really deserve and when i say deserve i mean it from the bottom of my heart and they are not even my friends, so i'm not biased, but i respect and adore the way they write.

Which award did i win by the way? 🤔 get your facts correct.. i just won most active member which I am.. so before lashing out get your facts correct... and about me being popular.. koi ek raat mein popular nahi ho jata hai.. it takes a lot of time and dedication to become popular... no one knows anyone by face and no one is bound to like some set of FFs thats readers choice. you want to read it read it if you dont want to leave it... you might agree to some and disagree to some...

what the DTs should do next time is that they should divide the awards into two parts just like it happens in films...

Popular (common categories)

Critics (here DTs would choose 5 anonymous judges who would be judging few set of awards giving chance to new and not so popular writers if they really deserve it. and her only writers can send their entires to them not the readers)

but in the second case you need to 100% trust the judges

this is my suggestion to the DTs.
