hi stg1
thanks for bookmarking, happily gawking, and then writing something meaningful and profound... 😳 yes, it was that. i liked the way you clubbed them along with your favourite books and films, even higher on certain fronts. they did indeed consume us in a way nothing ever had, at least not me. it will always be impossible to make some people, especially those who consider themselves well read and of a certain sort of intelligence and sensibility, understand how asr and khushi were spectacular in revealing certain human things that at times even the finest book couldn't. that quality you mention of something indescribable, and so terribly compelling. not for nothing were women from 13 to 77 and beyond were in raptures over them. i am 53, my 49 year old cousin, her 20 year old daughter and her 73 year old mother, we are all in the same boat.
i am not the sort to get hooked on serials, yeah i will give a good looking man a fair bit of attention and try and see him, maybe even keep track of show timings. but this was way beyond that and reached places within me which i never perhaps knew i had. isn't that what art is supposed to do... never know where you'll find it.
thanks so much for writing... i too am pretty certain i will never see or feel anything like this again.
