Part 10 " The unbridled laughter gradually giving way to the ever-present desire is nicely etched. The moment Khushi collapsed against Arnav and he felt her body shaking against his length, this was bound to happen. "Man mein laddoo phoota..." So true, the only question remains as to whose mind... Arnav's, for sure but not so sure about Khushi's! Mittu is quite an observant soul. ...she were a creeper and he the trunk of a tree... beautiful metaphor, brings to life a vivid image of how closely intertwined their bodies are... must have really made Arnav's day! Quite chivalrous of him to blend into the darkness so Payal wouldn't find Khushi with him. Arnav being referred to as Raizadaji' sounds damn odd! Khushi sent one glare at the Raizadaji skulking in the shadows... cute, always love the subtle humor in your stories, Smita. "Aaj khane mein meeta kya hai?" Mittu screeched... why does it seem to portend Arnav tasting Khushi's chubby cheeks or pouty lips?! NK's immense relief on learning that Buaji isn't referring to him or creepily interested in him makes one chuckle as Khushi does. Arnav coming to a slow boil seeing the budding friendship between her and NK is a treat. The idea that someone can make her smile is anathema to him. Arnav's snorts or growls alerting Khushi to his displeasure is amusing especially when she mistakes it for his dislike of the Indian food served [the menu really makes one's mouth water!]... his shrewd brain taking advantage of her misconception to keep her tethered to him and away from NK is genius. Akash made sheep's eyes at Payal over Amma's head. Payal blushed and lowered her head to look at her patal. "Payalji, goodnight," Akash blushed. "Shubh raatri," whispered Payal, her eyes lowered in shyness... why does the Akash-Payal relationship usually end up providing comic relief? Looks like Arnav and Khushi will have to take matters into their own capable hands if this shy twosome is ever to get together. But the way he said it... and the look in his eyes... as though he were inviting her to an elopement or something clandestine... as though there were secrets between them that no one knew anything about... "Why should you see me tomorrow? My job is in the kitchen and yours is inside the house. Aap apna kaam keejiye, and let me do mine," Khushi made her feelings clear... Love how she puts him in his place! She didn't know why, but this Shaitan was dangerous. Especially when he demanded a kiss... and looked at her with eyes that seemed to see through her clothes... methinks she doth protest too much! Those thoughts of what Arnav wants to do to her seem like her hidden and unacknowledged desires! Arnav grabbing the opportunity to kiss Khushi's palm when she placed it over his mouth to silence his revelations about her nocturnal escapade is adorable... no way will Khushi be able to fall asleep now!

Part 11 " That neither Arnav nor Khushi find it difficult to fall asleep that night comes as no surprise... the only difference is that he is enjoying recollecting her charm and childlike antics while she is trying to make sense of the new unknown feelings assailing her. "What will your dulha look like?" Payal teased her. An image of a furious Raizadaji glaring at the food placed before him flashed through her mind. "Like a volcano, with lava erupting from it...," Khushi whispered... her subconscious seems to have recognised that Arnav is her mate, though her conscious mind doesn't know it or accept it yet. Loved the contrast between the dreams / thoughts the two girls have: Payal's are innocent and almost platonic while Khushi's are passion-filled... reflects the vastly differing personas of their prospective grooms... Akash stands around dithering while Arnav grabs what he wants, marking the object of his desire as his own. In her dream, Arnav gently kissing her arm is far more passionate than a scorching lip-lock! His hot breath stung the soft skin of her right cheek before his hard lips branded her as his own... all I can say is that Khushi has quite an active imagination... her dreams are more graphic than Payal's... I don't think Arnav has actually kissed Khushi till date, has he? Can't recall, unless it's a peck on her cheek... so if his mere proximity results in such steamy dreams, just imagine her plight once he actually steals a kiss! What was the use of sitting at home dreaming of a tall, dark man? It was better to slice bread and crush fruits for juice here! While doing so, maybe she can imagine that she is doing that to Arnav! Khushi's delaying tactics before and after being summoned by Arnav are highly amusing, given that she has no option but to face the inevitable. Arnav's impatience to see her and Khushi totally unaffected by his anger is a heart-warming moment, especially when she tries to be the voice of reason and understanding: "Who likes to wait, Baba?" she asked reasonably. "And what is the use of being so angry and knocking down files and making holes in walls with your stares? Will I get here any faster?" Nice to see that it is the fear of losing her to NK that is making him act out. ASR looked at her standing with her hands hidden behind her back lest he should kiss them, and felt laughter bubbling within him... these quicksilver changes of emotion must be a totally new experience for Arnav... being with Khushi is one rollercoaster ride!

Part 12 " Khushi's fury at the notion that Arnav knew of the thoughts and dreams that had plagued her the previous night is inevitable... Arnav thoroughly enjoying flustering Khushi is as endearing as her attempts to appear nonchalant... jalebiyan is a good choice! The first she knew of his nearness was when his hard lips tasted the sweet softness of her plump right cheek... her dream is playing out for real! "What do you think I did? I kissed you," ASR claimed victoriously, his eyes glinting in triumph and delight at finally having gotten the chance to savour the softness of her tempting cheek... those are grounds for a sexual harassment suit... a furious Khushi letting fly with anything she can lay her hands on is a wonderful reaction... that will teach him to take her for granted... wish it wiped the smirk off his face! "My face is not a municipal corporation road for you to travel along it as and when you please!" What an analogy... only Sanka Devi can come up with that... way to go Smita! Surprised she didn't haul off and deck him... she made do with throwing things at his head! Khushi not at all impressed with his imposing figure or his words must come as an unpleasant surprise to an Arnav who has been fawned upon by all and sundry, hitherto. "I am Arnav Singh Raizada everywhere." Can't make up my mind whether that's sheer arrogance or self-confidence speaking. Arnav would never have imagined that his teasing and his laughing at her would drive Khushi away... must say he deserves the panic at the thought of her leaving the job and him in her anger. Though it is her instinct for self-preservation against those roiling emotions that makes her threaten to take this step, she might also feel that her self-respect is at stake. "Khushi!" ASR called, alarmed. "You can't do that!" His plans and dreams are about to unravel, thanks to him having taken his teasing a bit far... that should give him a fright! Fury filled his voice and eyes. "Who will dare to question me?" I could merrily kick him for being such a jerk... the cheek of the man to believe that his wealth, status and power and his feelings for Khushi give him the right to treat her as he pleases! "Nobody will bother to question you. They will hit you first and ask questions later," Khushi explained. "They will separate your Arnav, Singh, and Raizada." That was the best and the wittiest retort by far! "Khushi!" "Go away!" "Khushi, stop! Let me talk to you." "Talk to yourself. I don't want to see you again, you ghatiya Shaitan!" "Khushi!" "Go back to Delhi, you Akhdoo Rakshas!" "Khushi!" "Don't Khushi me, you Laad Governaar! Coming all the way to Lucknow to steal my sleep and my chein!" Khushi shouted as she ran out of Sheesh Mahal... hilarious! Am surprised she has enough breath left to throw these words back at him while running away. At least it was a source of amusement for the others... can't wait to see what Arnav will do to get his Khushi back!

brilliant update. Of all the problems, tortures Khushi had counted, Arnav's replay of marry me was I guess is just enough to silence her. Loved it. :-)
