Delilah,
There is so much I want to say that I don't know where to start!
Thank you is probably a good start, if my ramblings can inspire such beauty then lord only knows what a true muse could do for you.
So much of what we talked about was woven into this that you literally took my breath away on several occasions, Carpe Diem holds such wistful beauty and that is exactly what this story was for me.
You know I abhor the idea of unrequited love, but I also believe that everything has a time and a place and as they say every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
Khushi and Arnav share such a wonderful relationship in this which embodies the very essence of capturing and living a moment and what a better example than physical momentos in the form of pictures? The journey that they go on, the discoveries Khushi makes, the wistful romance in Khushis eyes which she wishes to see in Arnavs, this concept truly is poetry. Khushi beautifully seizes so many opportunities to learn of Arnavs eyes, in turn learn of the man which gives birth to a love, a yearning. This concept can be applied to so much we seek from life. There are opportunities we take and journeys go through with a yearning to live and love, Carpe Diem indeed. She really does embody the idea of living with no regrets, no what ifs, at least she has her answers in life. And as I said everything has a time and place, Khushis love will be reciprocated he vowed to see her later, it may be tomorrow, it may be in the future but it will happen. Khushis action of declaration will see a reaction, and its my firm belief that such beauty you captured will not go to waste, my heart refuses to believe it. Wistful romance. Carpe Diem. Poetry. The essence of your story, the essence of life, the essense of the belief in love.
Beautiful!

Hey there,
I totally loved your writing style. There was so much depth to it and yet so simple to relate to. Keep writing such good stuff.
Also, it would be so much easier for us readers if you have an index so we don't have to do a lot of digging for your other stories.

Cheers!!

Oh that was beautiful!
I randomly stumbled across this and thank god for it!

I am one of those annoying fangirls that always seek a happy ending for Arnav and Khushi, but I LOVED this little tale. It made me... I can't really describe the feeling that it gave me... I suppose the best way to put it is that it gave me that little prickle that I associate with reading a REALLY good story.

You couldn't have put Carpe Diem any better. I don't know where life will take Khushi-- and I don't really want to find out. Maybe I can construct her own happily-ever-after in my head. Maybe I won't.
The point is that you showed us a real slice of life. One without grand declarations and fairy tale endings. But that doesn't make it any less sincere or overly tragic. Sometimes you get what you want, sometimes you don't. Trying-- is key. And that is I think the reason, this appealed to me so much. That note of hope in a not-so-pretty situation.
To me, Khushi was always about that hope!

And in terms of writing-- that was brilliant. I did wonder initially why you would choose to focus on the individual features of Arnav so closely-- it had felt incongruent. But when I read on, I understood why. It helped explain Khushi the artist's fascination with Arnav beautifully!

Loved.

No big words to describe this beautiful tale amidst elements I adore and a feeling as old as love - un-love. I am a fan of open endings too. So this one was extra special. I feel almost liberated by the end of it.

Nothing like a cathartic Goodbye. It's like the Death card from the Tarot pack. It feels like it should be miserable and dark but it's a new green sapling instead, hinting at change and closure. Life should be about that.

Silver springs that we leave behind,
Only to search for the pot of gold,
There beyond the colors so bright
Across the rainbow of life
So new and yet so old
