wonderful post about an earth shattering scene! i started watching ipk late, around dec 2011 and i went backwards to catch up on the serial so this wasn't the first scene i saw between arnav and khushi but omg, when i did see it my mouth dropped open and i stared at my laptop for ages wondering what the heck just happened??! i couldn't believe asr just did what he did, even though khushi reacted as only khushi could!

this scene disturbed me because i couldn't appreciate how such a scene could take place between two people who were destined to fall in love but in retrospect it was supremely clever of the writers, beautifully enacted and executed, and must have made people sit up in shock and become curious! and i think from that moment on her dori came to mean a whole lot more to him, and he was destined to protect it always. we didn't get a complete redemption but asr definitely redeemed himself for this scene, and i loved the way they closed this loop on raksha bandan with his gift of pearls
