Welcome to yet another edition of Reflections, when we started watching IPK we all knew that this promised to be a gripping love story .. most of us who started watching from episode 1 were attracted by the " Dard" in the promo ... The intensity was promised from the first promo .. which was delivered to us thru the 398 episodes ... Its this promise of intensity .. this promise of "Dard" .. this promise of "dhak Dhak" which has us in its grip till date ...
& why am i saying this today ... cause tonite i give u the heart beat of IPK .. DHAK DHAK ...
When a writer narrates a one line for a love story .. this is how he does it .. BOY meets girl .. they fall in love .. there is some objection & finally they conquer all odds & they become 1 ... Pretty dry right ??.. wonder how such a narrative can hold us in thrall ... it can hold us in thrall ... buy the sheer strength of the love of the leads .. the sheer talent of the writer to show the audience the path of love ..
So Arnav met Khushi ... sparks flew along with the dupatta & ofcourse wind blew ... but was that all i ask u ...
lets look at the love story of Arnav Khushi .. & their path to love ... which was laid in episode 25 which aired this week ...
It was holi ... a day when hearts unite .. u forget ur sorrows & anger .. u just unite & have fun ... In shantivan the atmosphere of bonhomie was singing loud ... everyone hugged & made up ... Arnav put rang on khushi & vice a versa .. he danced with her ... he drank with her ... there was happiness all around ...
But there was a face which was smiling the widest ... feet which were dancing the fastest ... but eyes which were wet the most ... KHUSHI KUMARI GUPTA SINGH RAIZADA
In the midst of all the enjoyment ... the only thing her heart cried for was ... Arnav ... & the wish for his love ... his acceptance .. so she asked him ... why is it that when we are together ,, my heart beats the loudest & fastest ...
He replies ... its cause our heart beats unite ...
For 2 hearts to unite ... & beat as one .. they first needed to connect ... they first needed to know of the others presence ... & thats what u got in this weeks episode ... episode 25 ...
The first glimpse ...
Khushi walks into Shantivan to deliver on the task that Arnav had set out for her ... to be told by Anjali .. that he is nurturing plants ... THIS WAS THE FIRST GLIMPSE of the HEART OF ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA ...
This is the first time the 2 hearts heard each other ...
(someone once told on DC .. why when khushi visited Shantivan with the sarees did Arnav not guess her presence .. well that was simply coz .. their hearts had not met .. while they had ) ...
She goes to the poolside ( first meeting on poolside) ... & sees him very GENTLY nurturing his plants. This is the first time she sees Arnav .. NOT AS A DESTROYER ... BUT AS A NURTURER ... the FIRST GLIMPSE ..
Hence immediately after this scene .. u see them sneeze together .. it was a cheeky way to say .. now they r one .. Blessing was given to both of them in one sentence .. "GOD BLESS DONO KO "..
Post this episode ... they will start to feel each others presence ... which is very well encapsulated in next weeks episode .. when Khushi who is in a dead faint .. wakes up .. coz she feels Arnav's fingers caressing her face ..

This the first glimpse of KHUSHI ... into the Man called Arnav SIngh Raizada ... & his capacity .. to FEEL ...
The Second glimpse ...
It was her first day in her new job .. a job she was very reluctant to take .. a job which she picked at the cost of her self esteem .. just to help her surrogate family ... its another auspicious ocassion ... Rakhi ...
She had just the previous day unceremoniously been evicted from the job ... & then the Man who threw her out & insulted her .. offered her a bribe to do the JOB .. (thereby wanting to prove himself right) ... but also refused to say SORRY TO HER ... She always knew him to be a proud .. unbending sort of person .. A PERSON who thot himself ABOVE GOD ...
BUT .. she glimpsed ... a man .. a boy ... a brother ... who would lay his life .. for a simple smile from his sister .. WHAT SHE SAW .. WAS that THE ROCK ... could be moved ... not with WORDS .. not with GESTURES .. NOT with DRAMA ... not with FORCE ... the only thing that could move the ROCK CALLED ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA was .. LOVE ... & DEVOTION ...
She saw the glimpse of a man .. who was MORE DEVOTED .. than KHUSHI herself ... was to DM .. He was DEVOTED to his DI .. he worshiped his DI ... He bowed in front of his DI .. He LOVED his DI ... She saw for the FIRST time .. HOW DEEP COULD ARNAV LOVE ...
The third Glimpse ...
She is in the place which is most sacred to her .. she is with her best friend (DM) ... with her dearest ones .. her head bowed in love ... she is in a temple ... when she feels his presence ... she is worried about her fathers health & goes to take a mannat .. on his behalf ... ONLY to be told .. that the mannat could not be taken .. since ... the pigeons had flown the coop ...
She is irritated by the selfish gesture ...
BUT .. she glimpsed ... a man ... a boy ... a son ... who understood what it was to loose .. who understood what it was to want to hold onto the belief .. that somewhere there was someone who would help them ... SHE GLIMPSED .. a tender ... innocent ... devoted ... young man ...
A man who was capable of not only enveloping those who were his FAMILY .. but would go out of his way to deliver a SMILE ... would go out of the way .. to DELIVER a PRAYER ... would go out of the way to DELIVER a MANNAT ... ( something he vehemently denied he ever needed) ...
Was it any wonder that KHUSHI KUMARI GUPTA fell in lOVE ...
Now my dears ... had KHUSHI narrated these to PAYAL .. PAYAL would know KHUSHI was in love ... but the bigger problem would be .. that PAYAL would also be in LOVE with Arnav ..
The DHAK DHAK of IPK ... the beating of the hearts in unison were the way the makers chose to underline the love of Arnav & Khushi .. but for the heart beats to unite .. A glimpse into the heart was needed ...
Tonite i wrote about the glimpse of KHUSHI into Arnav's heart ... one of these days .. will enumerate the GLIMPSe of KHUSHI's heart .. by Arnav ...
The ME .. i am sure POONA will do a rocking job of analysing the ME .. lemme confess .. i use her writing as a reckoner to my posts .. 😳 so stay tuned to read her ...
