Horizon
Durga, 🤗
what a parody.. Pyasa.. Gurudutt.. and those lyrics... suited to ASR's intensity.. what extempore writing esp, the first two lines.. you are on a roll! truly Kahan hai.. kahan hai... time to sing "bichad gaya har saathi dekar pal do pal ka saath"!!
Ami
Durga, awsome parody! Love what horizon said, suits our man's intensity ! I miss the show as much as Barun and watching this video, kinda feels good that Sanaya to some level hasn't moved on either 😆
She said also that if there was a season 2 she would be on it recently. Just a nice feeling that it wasn't just a job to her maybe! Thanks fr the parody ! Just lovely

Arshi
Durgy love it ,agreed with Horizon.it does suit to our man ...❤️

Supriya
Wonderful Durga 👏😃
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you girls, for these lovely comments for my on the spot parody. It was your comments on the Sarun post that influenced me to write this. The kahaan hai, kahaan hai was ringing in my years and I worked the other lines from there.
Horizon, I think this is a poetic version of your comment. Most words taken from there. You are right about ASR's intensity. And you bring in another masterpiece, bichad gaya... Really, the IPK family has gone to different places work wise and the spark is missing from everyone, it seems. Just like us, they too are yearning to get back together. Right, Ami?
BTW, I mentioned the wrong orginal song. It is actually 'Jinhe naaz hai Hind par wo kahaan hai...'. I've changed it. Also, I've added the translation. I am giving it here too.
That metallic music, that ASR tune,
That smirking smile, that echo of shutup
Who's crazy for Khushi, that height of love
The one whom the world loves, where is that ASR,
Where is he, Where is he, Where is he ...

News update - 18/7/2013
The 14th thread of the BFTP started with a bang. As soon as it was opened, a flood of comments started on the thread. Pages began to run at full speed. The number of comments started to reach above normal level. This worried the thread makers a bit, who then came up with a contingency plan, to be put into use in case the flood caused the thread to reach the maximum limit level. The plan was to create a temporary extension thread, till a new thread was worked on and started. But surprisingly, the flow of the flood started receding, but the black clouds still lingered for sometime over the thread, still keeping everyone in alert mode. However, with the clouds clearing, the contingency plan was put to rest. But, it seemed that due to the lingering of the clouds for sometime, it absorbed the moisture from the thread leaving it high and dry. Due to this, the flow of comments made on the thread became slow and scarce. An air of drought could be sensed. It was realised that many became very busy with ad, all at the same time. However, it is estimated that as the weekend approaches, normal flow would be restored.
Meanwhile, some blasters found themselves in a catch-22 situation, but of a different kind. When ages were being discussed, Salooni mentioned that she was 22 years of age. Soon after, Sohara, Anita and later Supriya joined her saying 'me too, me too'. With so many too too's, it was concluded that most of our young blasters were around the age of two two, i.e. twenty two. The fifty plus group also rejoiced when Laruma claimed that she too was above fifty. ArshiHamesha showed concern that the groups on both extremes of ages were becoming stronger. This reporter would like to quote Laruma about what she said about the ages.
'Being happy is wonderful and age has nothing to do with it. 55, 53, 44, 21, 18 means nothing in this context. I love what I feel when I watch the show. I love the feeling of anticipation waiting to read all the great reviews in the blaster thread. I love the banter that goes on here. Honestly one wouldn't know that there is so much age difference at all. (See age doesn't matter!!). I love that I found people who are like me and who share my love of the show. ~"How rare and wonderful is that flash of a moment when we realize we have discovered a friend".'
All the blasters whole heartedly agreed to what she said and everyone joined in a group hug.
Indi travelled to Delhi and like a pied piper she led the rest of blasters to the place too, but of course in thoughts. Everyone had a great time in this trip. From famous lanes, street food to qawwaali, memories and also the increasing crime rate, everything was discussed. As Indi returns from Delhi, the blasters, especially ArshiHamesha, wait eagerly for her to put up pictures of the city.
Before ending this report, from the news desk, we would like to wish all those who are observing, Ramadan Mubarak.

Ramadhan Mubarak to you too durga. And well I had realized there was a flood because I was maybe away for the best one week and in the meantime there were more then 100 pages in the new thread. However I think now with Ramadhan many are tired. As for Delhi trip of Indi and the pied piper story was just hilarious

Midnight Rendezvous

Shocked and Stuck on You Part 1

Akash is outside the GH and he tries to remember NK's instructions. He picks up a stone and throws it at Payal's window and it goes into the opened side and hits Buaji. She is shocked and she screams, " Who threw it, come out I will kill you!" Payal says it must have been some children. Akash is cowering in the bushes hoping Buaji doesn't see him. Payal closes the window and he says that's why I should have come with my brother.

Akash is having a very hard time knocking on the door or thinking of an idea how to meet Payal. He keepps remembering his brother's words, 'it's simple' but it's not so simple! He remembers NK's words about firecrackers and goes to get some. He blows up the firecrackers. Buaji, Garima and Payal panic run to the front of the house to check it out. Akash is plastered against the wall and then is trying to reach for Payal but keeps missing her so he runs inside the house.

Payals bid them all goodnight and Garima asks about Kushi and she says she went to bring sweets to the neighbors and should be back any minute. Garima tells Payal to let Kushi know they will go to the temple in the morning and Buaji says she will let her know. Payal says she will make her tea so she stays awake while Akash has tapped Buaji on the shoulder by mistake and is shaking his head no so that Buaji doesn't want tea.

Buaji decides to fix the chair leg. She gets the glue, fixes the chair, but the glue spills on the other chair seat. She fixed the chair and she can sit on it too. Maybe she can glue Kushi's mouth she thinks. She looks at the curtain where Akash is and goes to fix it pulling it to one side and leaving Akash exposed but he just stands there and she is oblivious. Payal comes sees Akash drops the tea and is flabbergasted. She points to Akash. She is shocked!!

Shyam has roses in his hands calling Anjali. HP comes and is fiddling with the lights he says Anjali told him to put them on but Shyam is stopping him.

Meanwhile back at the GH Payal tells Buaji she has a sore throat after Akash has coughed and Buaji insists on making her tea. Akash tells Payal he has never done this before but all is fair in love and since it is New year's and she sounded so sad, he had to see her. Buaji brings the tea and they sit with occasional bouts of coughing and coverups. Buaji sits at the end of the table and Payal says she needs more sugar and Buaji goes to get the sugar. Payal gives her tea to Akash since he is the one with the sore throat but he says it isn't as good because she didn't make it. Anyway Buaji comes back and the tea is no where to be found and she looks around and Akash hands the tea as Buaji's back is turned. When she turns back Payal says it is right here but it is gone. Aye Nandikishore!

Buaji now steps on Akash's hand. OUCH! But silently.

Shyam is upset with Anjali because he told her he wanted the evening to be just for the two of them. She says she met Mamaji on the way and not to be mad at HP. He says leave it and he starts to dance with her and as they dance the camera pans to the spliced wires in the pool. Mamaji needing a phone number interrupts them. He leaves and Anjali says she will get the dinner when he stops her saying there is no rush. They start to dance again.

Akash is in pain from Buaji's foot on top of his hand. Payal screams at her, "your leg!" She moves her foot but not enough Payal convinces her to go to sleep. Payal asks him if he is ok and he says it hurts a little. Payal grabs his hand and soothes it If Akash wasn't on the floor already I think he would have been then! He gives her his other hand too then he tells her it wasn't hurt he just liked when she held it. He comes out from under the table and he asks to sit because his back hurt from being under the table. They both sit but he sits on the chair with the glue spill.

Payal ,I think he is really stuck on you!

Shyam and Anjali are still dancing!

hyuk, cynthia, stuck on payal, akash... his ... stuck elsewhere. so cute this bumbling fumbling lover though thank g he ain't mine. payal has patience i tell ya... give me the screaming, shoving, nasty, hurtful, but smart one any day for who "it's simple." i am so looking forward to the new year shut ups. thanks for thsi delightful take. yet to see. this trip has thrown my viewing and pace completely.

good one, durga. yes, thread is going through a drought of sorts, but i am sure the monsoons will arrive soon. about those piictures from dilli... alas, on the day assigned for shopping at cp and hanging out, my dear sweet uncle had a heart attack... yeah, the 5 days were really packed and dramatic. the poor man sweetly said he was sorry he's spoiled our shopping spree. this after an emergency angiography and stent implant (or whatever they call it). he's still in hospital, absolutely certain nothing had happened, just a pressure drop... these docs... etc., etc.

but i do have some pictures that might be of interest. the first few were taken at birla house, now called gandhi smriti, where gandhiji breathed his last. i used to go there as a kid as i mentioned earlier and standing there with my kid was kind of ufff. the place is still calm, deep, green and rich with the feelings of an independence movement and aman, right or wrong, good or bad, stood for something and was willing to go it alone if need be.

the lawn where he had a prayer meeting every evening. the little covered area with four pillars is where it happened.

a long pavilion with his sayings and the story of his life.

unbelievably little material possessions, among them his precious spinning wheel. i am a huge fan of khadi... consider it totally cool, have worn khadi kurtas almost all my life... just the last 10 years access is tough. but really, it's the ultimate. was mad at everybody for making asr wear embroidered white kurta made of nondescript material. a long white khadi kurta with high/guru collar, crisp and slightly transparent, moving gracefully along with him... that is what asr would wear or so i have decided 😆. as you can see i am never too far from ipk and a certain boy.

his last meeting, 4pm to 5pm, 30 jan 1948. he spoke with sardar patel, a man i wish i'd met. and then it was time to pray... time to go.

okay, someone said something about indi wearing yellow/green saree and meeting asr in dilli. a picture dedicated to that: the dilli auto... phat phatiya. in dilli angreji: backside view.

remember the ipk three wheeler dudes? well these guys were a tad more adventurous. in case you didn't notice, zooming to what i saw and had to take the pic for... the driver of the auto behind has his left foot in hawaii chapps stuck to the rear of the three wheeler in front. what the... i kept on trying to gauge what was up, a fight? a conversation? a dare? what? no idea, this went on through almost 20 minutes of slow moving traffic, and messy delhi roads. this is the newer part of dilli ji i did not grow up in or know. trans jamuna, places like mayur vihar, ramprastha, etc. looks nothing like lutyens's new delhi. busy, not too pretty, lawless, high energy, slightly chaotic at all times. no green sprawling lawns with paved pathways here i'm sure.

footprints. from 1948 and 2013. my old new delhi and the new national capital region. wonder what shah jehan or tughlak or arjun or gandhi ji might say if they came by for a delhi trip today.

Episode-151

Khushi just gatecrashes Arnav's cocktail party, with a big glint in her face.

"tum"

Arnav is perplexed to see Khushi in his party.

"Thanks for inviting"

She is coming towards him. But unfortunately she just passes him and goes straight to NK.NK Introduces Khushi to Arnav,

'Meet my date for tonight."

Arnav is so flabbergasted that can't even utter a word. Khushi says the party looks so insipid; tasteless without salt and sugar. She adds if the organizer has sugar disease then it's inevitable. a very mean khushi... just like asr when she needs to be 😆. Arnav intends to say something, but some guy calls him to talk. Khushi asks NK, where bhairo (waiter) .She tells him that all the supplies are in the auto. So he needs to get it in.

Payal certainly feels happy to see her sis. She asks her how she got well so soon. Khushi sarcastically answers, she just bids bye to her sprain, and told it to come next day, cause she needs to go to a party. When Khushi sees Arnav is coming she speaks a bit aloud that NK insisted her so much, how she can ignore him. Arnav is fuming to hear this. 😆😆 Payal is scared, what is cooking in her "khorapati dimaag (devilish brain)? Khushi keeps her hand on NK's shoulder to make Arnav more jealous and goes with him. With NK, She is flouncing with alacrity in his party.

NK and khushi bring two big boxes in.When she sees Arnav, she just leaves her box on NK and goes to handle her laad Governor. She can't let him see the boxes. She comes and asks him what does he want to say. Arnav doesn't get her. She says, his anger is clearly visible in his eyes. she screams at NK, "aramse.(easy)" Arnav can't get her.

To aberate his attention, Khushi says,

'I mean inhale an easy breath and exhale the heat out.. It is good for anger. I mean it will be good for you and of course will be bad for anger. '
When Arnav's gaze goes to NK, she again tries to distract him,

"now tell me."

Arnav grits his teeth in anger,

"I thought you were half mad, but now I see you are completely crazy."

Khushi says, "now all of your anger is releasing right? "

When Arnav intends to say something, she doesn't let him speak, cause NK is already reached the destination. She says to him that she heard enough of him, now he can go. Arnav is bewildered at her delirium.

Before come to NK, a guy approaches Khushi. He thought Khushi signaled him. But NK comes there right then. He says, she is his tarikh (date).Arnav is observing them with a big grin on his face.

Khushi and NK furtively serve jalebi and lassi to the guests. Khushi forbids the waiter rather embrace dead, but not to face ASR.

Arnav announces that for the entertainment of the guests, there will be a thai dance performance. the guest get annoyed to see the boring dance. Khushi's lassi makes them happy though. Arnav is contemplating the guest's reaction, whether they are enjoying or not. But unfortunately everybody looks sad and annoyed. The little smile of content what was glinting in his face vanishes instantly to see people's reaction.

very badly behaved guests. and something totally off about this scene.

On the other hand Khushi is getting busy to serve lassi and jalebi to the guests. Arnav sees the guests look more frolic suddenly, it seems they started to enjoy the party. He thinks something is wrong. He calls the waiter and wants to see what drinks, he is serving .the waiter is cowering; Khushi already admonished him not to face ASR, Arnav yelps at him to answer. But God saved poor guy. Cause a female voice in speaker, distracts him.

"agar aap is party me kuch der se maujoot hai, ya to apko lassi pasand aye ho gi, ya jaljira. warna jalebi ne apna maan to jeet hi liya hoga. Yeh tha bidesi party mein desi tadka. Aab aisi desi rang mein aap humari pyaari jiji aur jiajaji ki liye kuch khas parstut karma chati., bidesi party bye bye, kuch desi ho jai.."

Translation: If you are present in the party for some times, then you must liked the lassi or jaaljeera. Moreover jalebi already won your heart. It was a touch of Indian flavor to this foreign party. Now like this traditional style, I want to perform something special for my sister and brother in law. Bye bye foreign party, let's have some desi stuff."

The song "desi girl" starts to play and Khushi starts to move and groove to rock the floor. NK also accompanies her on the dance floor.

Payal who was feeling embarrassed now starts to smile to see her sis dancing. Arnav is leering at her grimly, his anger must be pulsating with her every move. Khushi dances beautifully made everybody mesmerized.

I must say Sanaya is a fab dancer. You know when I heard this song not Priyanka, but Sanaya's dance comes in front of my eyes.

All the guests really loved her performance. They all applaud her with huge clap. Akash says, Khushi's entry should be like this. NK is just so enamored at her performance. People are congratulating her, praising her and she is also accepting their accolade warmly. It seems like she is actually the host of the party. She is even waving hands to people, bidding them bye. When she was exulting in joy, her eyes fells on Arnav, who is glaring her now with rage. Her eyes are gleaming with mischief, dancing with laughter to see him.she turns back. Arnav becomes livid to see her buoyancy.

Payal and Akash take a walk outside. Akash sees Payal is shivering in cold. He puts his jacket on her. So sweet of him!. Akash again appreciates Khushi's surprise and Payal also is feeling good.

Arnav who was bearing Khushi's waywardness for so long, now moves to her to talk. He is literally conflagrated on Khushi to infringe his matter. He is indignant, cause he was so pernickety about this party. Khushi's intrution just spoiled his classy party. He tells NK to give some coupon to Akash. Khushi also wanted to flee along with him. She is already scared in anticipation that Arnav will sure rebuke her. But she can't escape as Arnav stops her; He needs to talk to her. Before he can talk Khushi already starts to defend herself

Before you thank me, I want to say welcome. You want to thank me to rock your party, right?

"char chan,( rocking), you sometimes, not sometimes, but always surprises me. Khushi Kumai Gupta."

He says scathingly with his lips curling derisively. Khushi's countenance turns gloomy at his poignant word. He says when last night he called her, he thought he should ask her, whether she is upset that her alliance has broken. Is she OK? He asks her,

"Do you remember that your alliance is broken. I think it's not even a week. But it seems that it didn't affect you Khushi. You here came to make my party desi. You are dancing, making people smile, you really surprised me."

His afflictive words pierce Khushi's heart. she retorts him with a suppressed emotions in her voice,

'But your act didn't surprise me at all. Whenever or wherever we meet, I always."

She takes a pause for a while,

"No, not like this, but ready to listen lot more pungent words from you. Cause you can't say anything good. Or you just didn't learn. one more thing; I didn't forget that my alliance broke and won't forget either. The deception that happened with our family, how much tears my family shed, it's not possible to forget so easily. But today whatever I did, I did for my sister. My sister shed lots of tears, now it's the time for her to smile. And for my sister I can do anything, forget any grief. But you will not understand this. Cause relationship and emotions don't have any value to you. You only know the language of money and power. What do you know the satisfaction to bring smile in one's face? Anyway I just committed a sin of dancing and making people smile in the party. But who threw the party? You? So far I remember, it's been the same number of days, since your alliance broke."

Arnav gulps his anguish, he can't retort her now. She just pointed it out that how ephemeral is his feelings. But she is wrong. I wish if he could tell her the real reason of his break up with La. He just turns away from her; he can't look in her eyes now. Cause unknowingly he hurted her severely.

Khushi resumes, he must not liked the fact that, she reminded him of his broken alliance.

"If there is nothing left to remind me, can I leave?"

Guilty feeling is now gnawing at his heart now. When she intends to leave, he turns slowly to take a look at her.

A sweet note plays in the BG depicts his compunction.

NK is waiting for Khushi at the entrance. He smiles sweetly to see her coming. But she is in despondent state of mind, looking woebegone. She asks NK where is Payal. Nk says they left and he wants to drop her. Arnav gets irritated to hear this. Khsuhi replies she wants to go by herself. But Nk insists, how she can go alone. Arnav also agrees, it's really late. But Khushi is obdurate, she must go alone. Arnav wants to drop her by his car. Khushi refutes him immediately,

"no thanks."

NK runs after her, it's really late, how can she go alone?

"I will not go with him, I'll go by auto." She refuses tersely.

Arnav and Khushi, both look at each other sternly.

thanks, sohara, as always a compelling take. loved pernickety, especially when applied to asr. hmmm. my comments and emoticons up there, on this party issue, i have to admit i took sides. the writing was not keen. neither would asr throw a party like that... and he'd have thai dancers that would rivet people's attention, not have them behaving rudely. he owns a fashion empire, he will know a thing or two about throwing parties. nor would khushi gatecrash it in that high handed manner then proceed to dance like that in front of rank strangers... she is a girl aware of basic courtesies... not all would be forgotten just because her sis might be unciomf at a do.
also on that desi is better than videsi attitude i have a strong pov, discussed earlier.

but yes, sanaya danced beautifully. and ufff asr.
