Ummm do you think he will accept? Asked khushi to her best friend payal
I don't know... just try once! Payal said assuring her by giving a light squeeze on her shoulder.
Uh..okay... but what do you think? I mean... don't you think he will think me as crazy?
That you are..! payal said under her breath.
What did you say? Khushi asked raising her voice slightly and glaring at her...
Uh... I mean this... what you are doing is slightly crazy taking into consideration that you've always teased him with other girls...
I know! But how could I possibly know that I will fall for him..? She asked with slight nervousness.
Well I don't have anything to say about that...! Now go...!
Khushi moved towards him who was standing in the canteen and facing his back towards her and talking to his friends... with great courage... she called him in a small voice.
Arnav...?
He turned and saw her! He was as usual handsome and wearing a blue faded jeans and white shirts making every girl in the college canteen drool over him. But well how can he take his eyes of her?
Yeah?! He said with the same attitude which he maintained all the time when he talked with her...! but well she was as beautiful as ever with her silky hair left open and wearing a white and red contrasted anarkali suit.
Hey khush...! Whats up?! Said akash patting khushi back from behind and stood beside arnav...
By the time seeing akash there payal also moved towards khushi...payal and akash was a couple and everyone knew that! but the only odd thing was payal was best friends with khushi and akash with arnav who behaved like sworn enemies... well they never hated each other... but it's just they would always play name game by teasing each other with different people everyday...
You wanted to talk? Arnav asked once again concentrating on khushi...
Hmm yeah... something important... can we have minute alone?! Khushi asked with strange nervousness in her voice.
Sure... but 1 minute... saying that arnav dragged akash to a side...though he didn't show his nervousness of talking something IMPORTANT with khushi... he somewhere knew what was coming up...
Do you think what I'm thinking she wants to speak with me'? Arnav asked in one breath.
And what are you thinking? Akash asked though he knew what arnav was implying too...
Ofcourse about my feelings towards her! Arnav stated
What about your feelings? Akash was really enjoying teasing his best pal...
Dude...! That I like her...! Do you think she wants to talk about that...?
Why don't you go and talk and know yourself...? Akash restated.
What if she thinks I'm mad by liking her when I myself rag her?! Arnav asked showing off his nervousness for the first time!
Well that you are...! Akash muttered under his breath.
What?! Arnav growled.
If you really have the guts dude... then talk to her today...! It's now or never! You know right tomorrow our college is ending...?
Yeah I will do that...! With that said in his mind arnav moved towards khushi and gestured her to move across the last corner table where no one was around and they could talk easily...
Here payal and akash hugged and grinned looking at each other and in the direction of where arnav and khushi went. Finally these two dumb heads found the courage to accept their feelings and tell them after nearly 2 years!!!
Both of them were silent for sometime... not knowing what to talk! The nervousness inside them didn't let them to sit comfortably and both got up and looked at each other... finally arnav broke the silence.
You wanted to speak something in private?
Yeah...! I was thinking... khushi trailed off not knowing how to speak to him.
You were thinking?!
Umm...uh... I was thinking that U and I...
Me and you?!
Me be we...
We? arnav played with her keeping in her nervousness in check
Canyouandibetogether...? She said in one breath which arnav definitely couldn't catch...
What did you just say? Arnav asked though he somewhere what she might have said.

Together? Arnav completed for her. Khushi looked at him astonished of how did he say that?
Ofcourse we can be! Arnav answered to his own question grinning to himself giving her his one of his rare smiles and engulfing her in a bone crashing hug. But khushi was too numb to reciprocate...! She never knew that arnav also had feelings for her and he was happy being with her!! So to clear her doubts she just pushed him a little.
Though arnav was a little offended by her act he didn't show it coz he knew she would be confused...well he himself was confused of what to make out from this situation.
You're okay? She asked not knowing how to broach the topic again.
Yeah...! He said and paused for a minute then continued... hmm I was thinking that we could be together...?! You know like together...? He said making gestures through his hands bringing a smile on khushi's face when she realized that indeed her feelings has been reciprocated.
And why would we be? Khushi asked raising her eyebrow just play with him that he did moments ago with her.
May be because I like you?
And?! Khushi asked still showing off that she isn't convinced...
And... ok leave it...! I guess we aren't mean to be... He said and turned to leave with a naughty smile on his lips as he knew this sentence will surely make her catch off guard...!
Hey no! I love you yaar...! She whined before he turned and she saw his victory smirk!
I never talked about love...!
Ok then I guess you are right... we aren't just meant to be... she said with sadness all over her face and eyes which could shed tears in any minute...
Hey shh... no baby...! Even I love you dammit! Arnav said wiping of the tears which had strained to come out of her eyes and took khushi in his arms.
I love you...! khushi stated again to make sure that she isn't dreaming about being in his arms...
I love you too... arnav said giving her a feather light kiss on her forehead and holding her as though a precious gem.
Just to make sure that all this is indeed true and all her fears of rejection were baseless and the things which seemed surreal to her she asked,
So now... U n I together?
Arnav looked down in her eyes and holding her gaze said in an authoritative voice,
WE are together...!
So how was it?! This is one love story that I had witnessed with my own eyes...! sometimes there will be no reason in particular for us to love or like someone...! đ
Sometimes people fear rejection and never make the first move... so thought of giving an OS which is somewhat true that I have witnessed.
