I get their whole fight against crazy obsessive fangirls, but hey, there are even sane fans of this show. If this forum closes down, where will people like me go to? This is like our permanent home. Thank you ML, for voicing the plight of people like myself who are still hooked to the show and this forum, esp. the FFs and unfortunately do not belong to any CC. This forum is my one source of keeping in touch with the people and the show and I love coming here to read people's thoughts about the show and to, of course, drool over our Mr. MacGorgeous! (even hormonal aunties are alowed to do that, ha, ha). And to 'meet' the people with whom I have shared such a large part of my online life these last 2 years.

I join you in your condemnation ( which btw, is what I assume you mean when you say condone!) of the lunatic fringe (on both sides of the divide) who have been trying incessantly to kill this forum. I strongly condemn such people and their behaviour.
The TM here has a a very valid point, one that i have not had the courage to make- very often the worst bashing posts are allowed to gallop on for pages, while the least harmful of slippages have been stamped upon, killing the spirit of the people who have generally been so sensible in their posts.

This happened to the Barun Movies Discussion thread a few weeks ago when the mods came stamping down on what I, with years and years of experience, would not have bothered about. One can still see the demoralizing impact of that crackdown on that thread. I feel awful for all those genuinely enthusiastic and well meaning group of fans.

On the other hand, a post by someone called Omni has been gallopping away with complete impunity for the last 2 days with not a word from anyone.

I do appreciate that the Mods are caught up between a rock and hard place and that an online forum is extremely difficult to police. I do hope the mods adopt some of the brilliant suggestions given by some people, eps. Princessunara's very sensible ones, on this thread and keep the forum going for people like me and ML.

It future, it may be a good idea to implement in the forum, but before we can go ahead and discuss that idea with the higher authorities we as a forum need to make sure that everyone can stay focused. As if we do go ahead with such a thread, we don't want anyone to be breaching any kind of forum rules as if a thread would be openly reported, every member would see it.
