One thing about Shyam and Khushi engagement why Buaji so keen .Khushi is supposed to be 18/23 and Shyam must be around 30 or more if he is Di husband did not Buaji see the age gap as KHushi is supposed to be teenager according to the initial story . Really does she want the best for Khushi her initial character and the later part bit changed in the story

Episode 122: The pursuit of Sakoon (Peace)

"Unki khanak mein itna sukoon that, ki saare din ki thakawat uttar jaati thi"

Arnav Singh Raizada reached unbelievable heights, heights that perhaps he wouldn't have strived for had it not been for this one tragic even in his life. The loss of his mother. He has everything, but the one thing his mother took with her...his "sukoon", his peace. Clearly this man is starving for this peace and perhaps that fatigue of this life never goes away either. The effects of losing his mother, are tremendous on this him

If ASR was a bollywood fan (which he is not), and he was watching the famous exchange between Vijay (Amitab Bacchan) and Ravi (Shashi Kapoor) in the movie Dewaar, he would undoubtedly side with Ravi.

Vijay: Aaj mere paas bangla hai, gadi hai, paisa hai...tumhare paas kya hai? (today i have a big house, a car, money, what do you have??)

Ravi: Mere paas Maa hai! (I have Mother)

For some reason this famous dialogue popped up in my head. Yes money is important to him, it defines him, but would he have been so driven to believe that Money = Power if his uncle and this "Bedard Duniya" (heartless world) hadn't left his to fend for himself and for his sister? and even today if given the option his fortune or his mom back, a heartbeat wouldn't go by in him choosing the latter. That sukoon is priceless and he knows it's worth.

Anjali had opened a box of memories when she opened the box that carried the Kangan (Gold bracelets) their mom had kept aside for her future daughter-in-Law. The Arnav and Anjali share their memories of the khanak (noise made by the bracelets) these two Kangan exuded. Anjali said when she would tuck them in, they would fall asleep just with the noise of the Khanak. Arnav who had been staring non-stop at them as she pulled them out and held them, adds fondly what they meant to him

...the serene peace he can only try an obtain in his garden where he feels closest to her.

Anjali talks about their mother's excitement to put them on her daughter-in-law, as she put them in the box. And was a letter, a rather cute one as per Anjali.The bro-sis duo laughed whole heartily the time it was written but she tears up "tab hamme kaha pata tha, ki maa nahi, bas...bas ek chitthi rahe jaayenge." (How were we to know then that no mom, but this letter will survive)

Slowly she opens the letter, Arnav already filled with nostalgia braces himself. Oh this is hard for him, the constant swallowing, the involuntary tears.

"Hamare Chotey ki bahugena, waise to hum yeh kangan aapko khood hi pehnane wale hai, par aapko ek raaz ki baat batani hai, isi liye likh rahe hai, dhyan rakhiyega, aur sawdhaan rahiyega. Hamaare chotey ke naak pe bahut saara gussa rehta ha, aur dil mein dher saara pyaar, gussa bardasht karna aur pyaar sut sammit waapis lautana"

Translation "To our Chotey's wife, I will put these kangan on you myself, but wanted to tell you a little secret, that's why i'm writing. Be careful and be warned, lots of anger resides on my chotey's nose, and tons of love in his heart. put up with his anger and return the love with interest."

Truly, an adorable letter, only a mother could ask someone to put up with with their son's anger and return his love with interest. A jist of how well she know her son, and a bit of concern for his explosive nature too. She wanted to make sure her chotey wasn't misunderstood and loved to the fullest.

Hearing those words bring water to his eyes, most definitely he just misses her

"Aaj maa tumhe aaj dekhti to (if she could see you today) "

"Pehechaan bhi nahi pati mujhe!" he cuts in, a comment that contradicts his pride. The pride he always take in becoming Arnav Singh Raizada. Almost as if he feel he doesn't deserve the love his mother wanted to make sure he received.

Barun once again proves his talent by displaying the most detailed, complicated of emotions...for example the way he tried to control his tears just as he got up to leave, we could feel the the excruciating hurt from within. this guy is UNBELIEVABLE!

"Chotey!" Anjali tried to stop him, but he had to leave

Khushi walks in looking for Anjali.

She comes to a standstill at the sight of his tears, she's seen them before and knows they don't come easy. He leaves, she gets and answer from Anjali.

Out by the poolside, he stood silently looking up at the stars when Khushi enters to pick up the dried chilies. As soon as she walked in she felt his pain, she look up at the stars he was watching. She wanted to make it ok. But how could she break the deal? so she moves on to the chilies.

Ofcourse her mehsoos had given her away a moment she walked in. Without looking back he asks as if a little boy.

"Kya woh sach mein taare ban jaatien hai?"

Khushi freezes with a bit of shock. The man who initiated the "no talking" rule and held up his end when he was to explode on her at numerous times today, breaks the deal. and there is no "bahes"(tiff) the reason he came up with the deal. Just an answer to his question in her her own way.

"Baat sach ya jhooth ki nahi hai, baat yekin ki hai"

" its not about trueth or not, is about belief"

she steps beside him, he is no longer alone

"hamara dil hamse kaheta hai, ki woh taara hamaari amma hai, aur uske paas waala hamaare babuji...hamesha hamme dekh te rahe te hai,aur issi tara timtimate hai aur -"

Translation : "My heart tells me, that star is my mother, and the one beside is my father...the alwaya look at me and sparkle and"

He cuts in

"Kya woh hamme dekh kar khush hai?" (Are they happy looking at us?) how he carries every bit of that pain in his voice, he modifies his question

"Kya meri m-m-maa mujh dekh kar khush hai?"

"Is my m-m-mom happy seeing me?"

here was this man that brushed everything off as rubbish, ready and willing to believe anything this girl says as this moment. Khushi just feels for him, she looks at him. If he can't see her tears, she can't see him in pain. Just today she took a tall glass of milk after he ate that red hot mirchi daal out of spite. And this very second, she wishes there was a glass of milk to take away this kind of pain, she would run and get it for him.

He looks at her with so much desperation for an answer and a need for her to say "yes".

As she looks in his eyes, she has never seen them so vulnerable so in need. Barun some how physically changed their shape to shows this difference. Amazing!

The Arnav behind ASR. he has never opened up to anyone like this before, maybe because of the bond that night created when she let out all of her secrets and opened up to him. Here is a new level of the understanding between each other.

But,she can't answer his question, perhaps because she feels she can't tell the truth. How can his mother be happy when her son is in so much pain, everyday of his life. He notices her discomfort and doesn't push her, but a tear forming in her eye,

she excuses herself "Hum zara" and he turns back. Before leaving, she uses his words that always seem to soothe her. A small attempt at getting him milk for this kind of pain.

"Aap teek to hai na?"

"you are ok, arent you?"

Instant change in his eyes, the soothing at work maybe? Turning to his side, a slight nod from him...she wishes she could do more but leaves. He slowly raises his eyes to see her and the follow her till she disappears.

Why does he look at her in this way? does he get a sense of sukoon from her, his pain did seem to ease out a bit after she left. He allows her to soothe him, doesn't he? no resistance the normal ASR would have...after all he was taking sips of milk, thanks to Khushi's idea before Di came into his room for that box of kangan.

Also we never see him regret these moments like we do so many other times, here he doesn't feel like he's losing control...deosn't let that "farq" in the way this time...interestingly this is most open he has left himself to her thus far.

Unfortunatly Khushi never got to see or read the letter (in season 1's duration😉)...but that bit about "gussa bardasht (put up with his anger)" and "pyaar sut samit (Love with interest)", Thats what she does isn't it? many women of today were bothered by Khushi's constantly taking his wrath, accused of losing the backbone she once had, but now i understand more than ever why it was written that way. It was in her make-up wasn't it? to understand and "bardaast" the anger and to return all of his love with full interest.

Ofcourse in the future, she will be the one to wear those kangans and the one to finally bring him the sakoon that he so needs in his life. Also WIWY (thank you sauten!! 🤗) had pointed out the calming/soothing blue Arnav wore during the hospital hug, well here Khushi is wearing a similar calming/soothing blue. Its begging to be read too much into. If they hurt each other the most, they are each others biggest healers.

for threads 10/11, i had written a small piece about how the stars play a role in this story, and made connection throughout including scenes from episode 122. Here is a little excerpt from that piece Written in the stars ( click link and scroll up)

How can we leave out the most precious moment the stars gave us? Khushi tells his picture "Chaliye muskuraaiye! chaliye! (come on smile! come on!)" and how, a gleaming, glowing smile brighter than the stars themselves slowly appears on Arnav's face as he look up to the sky, his true happiness beaming from within knowing that she'll finally be his forever.

It bought closure to the moment that started it all for me, If Khushi were here, she would finally answer him:

"Haan Arnavji, aaj aapki aama aapko dekh ke bahut khush hai"

"Yes Arnavji, today your mom is very happy seeing you"

Durga, thanks much for that hug.. 🤗. I missed you all too.. just feel too conscious to say that again and again! Added to my job duties, my little one's skin eczema gotten worse last one week. He used to sit in bath tub for long times, now he is scared and cries at the sight of water..as it burns his rashes! Giving him allopathy, homeopathy.. everything I could.. nothing seem to help.. I have been an emotional wreck past one week... not sure what to do! Not sure I am addicted to IPK as I am an emotional wreck already or IPK had made me even more of it! But you know, when we are the decision makers, the ones to take care.. where we don't even the right to cry, feel pain!! I can see how ASR must have felt after that terrace hug!! Sorry.. Episode 118

The Hoax Part 2

Even in his dreams he is reminded of his words; he doesn't want to see her again. He wakes up with her name on his lips.

Anjali opens his blinds and starts his day with a scolding. She does this every year on this holiday; this hoax of hers is played by him for he forgets about it every year. Pooja begins at the Raizada's, gifts are given but Arnav 's gift is not a tangible gift, Mami asks where is the gift and Shyam says his gift is he is going to wed. Even that is not tangible, Mami, unless it is with Kushi. Mami mimics Arnav promising Anjali that he will always take care of her happiness and even Mr. Grouchy Pants smiles. loved this name. Anjali says he doesn't have to say it she already knows it!

Buaji is explaining to Kushi about how the left ring finger is connected straight to the heart and as Kushi looks at her bandage she remembers Arnav claiming her as his as he wrapped her finger gently. She should always wear her ring. It symbolizes that she is no longer single. She doesn't have to go to work she belongs to someone now just like Lavanya belongs to ASR. The hoax continues.

Lavanya is confused about the holiday and Mami says she could ask Kushi she will be able to answer it. Everyone is sad realizing Kushi will not come and he is in the midst of them all. The conversation continues and Anjali says it is good when she was around, even her name means happiness. He is becoming perturbed; again it is too much; he jumps up enough, Di!

Enough with Kushi, he can't be reminded anymore. No more, BAS!!!! She is gone, let her be gone!

Anjali reprimands him and says don't talk like that; why are you so angry? If you only knew Di! She says you don't know when it is the last time you see someone, you should speak nicely. Your right, Di. He hates what he said to her and it his hurtful words come to his mind and in his dreams. They all leave him alone with his thoughts of what he said to her. Eyes close, pain across his face, sending her away from him caused him great pain.

his pain is abysmal.

The Gupta girls are preparing the veggies and Payal asks Kushi now that the job is done at the Raizada's and Kushi knows what she is implying and says she has taken tuitions to teach the children of the neighborhood. Our Kushi is a go getter.

The Hoax continues when Anjali calls Kushi all panicked; something has happened they need her help. She asks Kushi to come over quickly. Kushi is confused but knows she must go there right away; the Raizada's need her. Buaji doesn't want her to go and says to her both Lavanya's and Kushi's engagements have been fixed so what is the need to go. The reminder hurts Kushi you can see it all over her face. In the end Buaji concedes and Kushi goes.

Meanwhile outside the Gupta house roams a lovesick puppy, waiting for just a glimpse of his Payal. She comes out and calls an auto he is on the other side,"Namaste, Payalji," he says timidly. She answers softly in return.

Back at the Raizada's where the women are continuing the hoax, Kushi enters the home and asks why the concern and Naniji is yelling at Lavanya.(not really).

The Rickshaw driver has to leave this couple is taking to long to enter; he has to make money. Akash tells her he is here to have his car serviced. The two clear the air with their misconceptions. They are so cute, young love, timid, shy but hearts all a flutter, just adorable.

The Hoax is in full swing! Both women arguing about a wrong so great that'.what is it? Kushi asks what happened. Do they even really know? She doesn't really know the scriptures and both Anjali and Nani say which one. They both answer simultaneously different scriptures. AHA! HOAX!!!!!

they are trying hard to refrain Khsuhi.

What? Kushi asks.

Nani saves the hoax with the alibi, if she doesn't know this scripture how will she know that one? Good save Naniji. She says even Mami knows them. Haha.

Kushi goes to the mandir to get ready to teach La and the girls all high five! Mami's mouth is hanging open, something fishy is going on and she is not aware, but she WILL find out.

La is in the temple with Kushi and tells her it is so good to have her back. La asks her to come everyday; there is so much to prepare for the wedding. It is so much easier when she is around. Kushi says no she is only here because there was a problem. She tells her she gave up the job. La says teach her. She shows her the stand for the Holy book and all the steps to prepare reading the Holy Scriptures. La follows her instructions. They are out of oil, Anjali calls La so Kushi will get it.

Kushi goes to the kitchen worrying about him.

He enters his home. The locomotive comes barreling loved the metaphor.in,"where the hell is my'." He stops.

Gust of wind.

She stops.

They both stop. They sense each others presence.

The girls' hoax to bring Kushi back was only pretense to Devi Maiyya's wish.

Episode 119

What's the matter his servant asks; he is looking for a file.

She is looking for the oil, it is empty on the counter; she looks up in the cabinet and can't reach it so she climbs up onto the stool.

He is frantically looking for his file; frustration seems to be settling in so easily now adays. He is just so distracted and can't seem to concentrate or remember where he has placed things, probably all because of that girl. He goes down the stairs and asks his servant where is Di. He proceeds to tell him in the kitchen and also starts to tell him where Lavanya is. He stops him right there, he doesn't care where Lavanya is and tells him just answer the question that was asked only.

You got it. the grumpy man is high on his temper after breaking up with khushi.

She is climbing on the step stool and trying to reach for the oil when suddenly he comes in shouting for Di, asking her for the file and Kushi looses her concentration and balance and falls straight into his arms, eyes tightly shut.

She's here. Sigh now he can relax.hahaha true She opens her eyes and sees him, she blinks. Doesn't it feel good Kushi, to be where you belong, even if it is only for a few moments before reality sets in. Her dupatta is jumping for joy!

Reality hits both of them. What are you doing here he asks her. "Lavanya'" "Didn't I say I don't want to see your face?" he fires back. "Get lost." She says she will if he puts her down. Haha, you really can't let her go, Arnavji, can you? Now girls, I hope you noticed but he didn't just let her down, he swung her around against the counter and blocked her in. Is this someone who really wants her to go? how can it go unnoticed by our keen eyes, how passionately he put her down and reluctantly let her go."Why are you here?" Kushi answers do you really think I want to see your face? Yes, Kushi, yes. "And yet you're here in my house, in front of me. Didn't you say yesterday that you would not come back to this hopuse? Now what happened? No matter how many times you leave you come back." "Look'" "What stupid explanation do you have?" Low blow, ASR! "Sometimes it is DI others it is Lavanya. You always lie. I am sure these lie are for you to come and live in this house." Her eyes nearly bulge out of her head. Lie? What are you saying, man? It is you all you, who is creating your own lie as well. Your relatives are continuing their hoax for her to stay; talk to them! Now Kushi comes back. Why ask questions when you don't listen? He threatens her again with money. She wants to know why he always brings money into the equation. He starts and is imterrupted by Di.

Be quiet, she came to help us she says. She scolds him and says he should think about how a person feels when he talks like that. They both look like little children being reprimanded but Kushi is feeling hurt and he is getting the scolding. good observation. how sweet of her!She tells him that Kushi has a condition to help them; she will not accept money from them. He looks at her intently, searching her for the answer 'why? Why not take money? Why are you coming here then? Not take money for working'.why? Di tells him she takes tuition for teaching children as her job. She came here just to help us; she neither works for him or her. She finally looks up into his pondering eyes. Di tells Kushi that Lavanya is waiting, hands Arnav the file and leaves.

She goes to leave and he says he has to talk to her. She continues and a little firmer he says he needs to talk to her. She doesn't turn around and asks him to tell her what he wants to say; perhaps he wants to humiliate her further. Enough, he says. Everytime she talks it hsappens they fight so gfrom now on they won't speak with each other. That will be good for both of them and then they won't argue. She takes a deep breath and turns to him and agrees but says he should do the same for her.

The girls are trying to convince Kushi to come back, making up every excuse and Nani just jumps in asking Lavanya sternly if she has learned the Holy Scriptures. They are trying to convince Kushi of Nani's gussa and if La does anything wrong than the engagement can be called off. She agrees to come for a few more days. The girls' lies have kept her coming for a few more days. Why didn't they just tell her they loved her and wanted her company instead of making up those nasty little lies? They only hurt people in the end.

I also agree. But Khushi would never agree to come there, because of Arnav. he already showed too much acrimony to her.

Shyam is upset because she is staying. Your lies, Shyam, have to continue! What a shame for you! He makes every excuse to Anjali why Kushi should not come but she does not budge! He will have to find another way for her to leave the house; he will talk to her.

Kushi is working with the children. This scene is so cute with the boy child named after Barun. Barun and sanaya must laughed a lot behind the scene.They are doing a math problems with mangos, (his fave), and he is refusing to give his sister any because they had a fight. When Kushi finds out what happened, she tells him to ask for forgiveness and he says he never asks anyone for forgiveness. How cute! Just like a little Arnavji! Kushi thinks about those same words ASR had spoken and she calls the little Barun a name. She tells him to ask for forgiveness does not make you feel less but makes the other person feel better. He seems happy with that and she mumbles otherwise you will grow up like HIM!

Shyam comes and must speak with Kushi.

ASR is texting in front of the TV and the news reporter is talking about how he and Kushi met. How he is the eligible bachelor no more but he didn't lose his heart to this unknown beauty but to the beautiful Lavanya Kashyap. Lavanya hears this and is excited tht she is on the TV but complains about how her lipstick is dull. She is thankful to Kushi for bringing them together and she is just going on and on praising Kushi when he jumps up and tells her to stop. He is marrying her not Kushi's principles etc. Get it? He leaves. Oh this man is such a mess. The lies just keep piling up; when will you stop lying to yourself ASR?

i also have the same question. His convulsion is on the peak. how can he survive with so much turbulence!

Shyam is scolding Kushi about going to the Raizada mansion. He says they should be solving the problems by themselves. She doesn't have to go there. She tells him that money is not important to her since he implied they are luring her there with money. First she had to explain herself to LG and now to him. She doesn't tell lies Shyam, she is not like you. She says she will go and help Lavanya until she is married.

Payal sees how Kushi is sleeping and says she remembers the last time when she was worried and tried to sleep; it was the first time she came to live with the family. Payal remembers how she got her into a better mood by tickling her and she does. They both have a tickle fight and hen things calm Payal asks Kushi if she is worried about her wedding. Payal encourages her to do what she wants and lets her know that she is always with her.

She doesn't tell any lies!
