"Ye duniya agar mil bhi jaaye tho kya hai".. attitude in a more self assured way! Wonder if a character as poignant and profound character as him will ever adorn Indian screen of any kind!
Yes, that hawa ka jhonka.. that lets them feel each other's presence... such cliched expression on Indian screen... but elevated to heavenly levels by these two.. not sure if it is the characters or the actors or a combo of both of them...but I keep rewinding and watch all those hawa ka jhonka scenes.. here the one for Khushi... she knew it was him... such an adorable child woman.. she knew .. yet she didn't know!!
Another one, I wanted to point was Shyam... what a sensible mature BIL he has been in the family... one has to give it to him even for putting up all that charade.. becos acting is much more harder than wearing one'e innate feelings! He is the one who most of the times imparted some sense to ASR's anger.. don't kill me all my dearies for this... but the way he convinced the family to bring in La to how he literally taught ASR to apologize... I sorely missed any FB track of how Anjali/ Shyam wedding happened in the first place.
Sorry for this rather digressive response.

hi horizon,

butting in. that in pink. the cliched stuff that i watch addicted, you are so so right. actually, noted that just now in my last two takes, lots of pretty corny things here. yet they do take it all to another level.

child woman. haven't heard that word describing khushi in a while. yes, she is, thanks for the reminder. her later avatar of know all bahu mars my thinking. this is why i guess even when she does patently not right things, one still remains positively inclined. she ia18 and a bit lost in this big city big bad world, and her philosophies are as yet untried. she has all the stuff in her to grow into a really evolved character, sometimes you see that, especaillywhen she tales leaps i understanding his feelings, that's really interesting. but her own growth severely played with by channel and producers.

about shyam. again right. in fact, just now the scene where another lawyer says shyam always fought for the poor and helpless was not a shyam stooge. he meant what he said. actually, his initial lust for khushi was also developed with thought and even now it's nuance. he is creepier by the day because of his thing for khushi and his innate love of money or whatever. but instead of wrecking the character overnight during kidnap. they could have produced a villain worth noting and writing about. the shyam i see before me now is someone who can exist in real life... in fact there are such people in ones own life likely.

they showed him being really practically psycho and then went off looking for a b-grade movie baddie. ah well.

wiwy,
you are boddo mishti and bhishon bhodro. thank you, sir, for the read and the comments. gussa is mine. aaah. that felt like a billion strong solid singapore dollars and i felt like an indian lakhpati hindi movie of my time ishtyle.

okay. for these lines:
Later, she would realize that his ideals, his beliefs, his convictions were the strength of his character, that made him a man worth loving with and dying for.

i am flying over now to hug you and smother with kisses. he was worth that. and despite whatever was done to her character, she knew that. i would have loved to have seen her defend and protect his way the way he managed to do hers. maybe in season two... five years after now, when khushi has gone her long way, baby... we'll see another gripping story from their lives where this aspect will be visible.

see, i am not letting go.

to you and ipk... esho.

Episode 83: Arnav's misery

This significant episode, though not huge but has impact, moves the story around beautifully, showing growth in the strength of their bond. light and entertaining yet keeping their main struggles in the center, that unravel in 84.

Parallel scenes in the beginning during the puja, Khushi sits beside her ill father, she flashes back to Arnav describing the pain of losing his parents, it stayed with her despite all the other mean things he said, she was thinking of how much pain he endured. Khushi is not there physically but her heart and mind are with him and i have a feeling that somewhere in the back of his head during the puja, her weeping face lingers thinking about her parents too.

This is a new phase in their relationship, the mutual understanding of each other's pain will go far and will always be cherished by both.

Anjali continues to act cold towards Shyaam (LOVE her like this), she unleashes her frustration on him in the kitchen, explaining to him that she feels like they're drifting apart, they're not spending enough time together...Shyams true colors come out, he blows up "so do you want me float around you all day?" (yes shyam bitwa, that's what you do around Buaji so why not your wife?) Anjali storms out of there, but Shyaam knows all the tricks, he apologized in extravagant style, how was this girl ever supposed to suspect her husband? using flagerant gajras and lovely compliments and when that didn't work, with clever sweet talk, "Jaao maaf kiya" he begs her to say in front of the whole family. In his quest to woo his wife, he accidentally plays cupid once again to Arnav and Khushi planting the idea of "maafi" in Arnav's head.

Though the general idea was there as he looked for her to tell he felt badly, i think it hit him that it's called apologizing.

"Arnav Singh Raizada kabhi kisi maafi nahi mangta" a firm confident statement made by him not to long ago to Khushi's Buaji came to his mind, and this he stood by just as firmly...even if it meant leaving behind the woman he cares for most, in the middle of the road in all of his anger. A situation that could've easily been avoided, had he done what she asked...apologized, a simple I'm sorry. Then again we saw him melt and apologize to Anjali just the day after he made that statement to Buaji, such a complex man. tragedies of life that obviously contributed to his bitterness and surely his attitude against such common gesture stems from it, maybe he owes his success to this "i'm not sorry for the way i am" attitude as well and finally he never got and apology from anyone for turning his life upside down at such a tender age.. whatever the case, if his tragedies have hardened him up against this gesture, today her tragedy shatters that that hardened shell. His work was cut out for him, he knew he had to swallow those words he said the Buaji.

At night time, their constant thoughts of each other takes them both under the stars.

Her insecurities about losing her parents for a second time are elevated more than ever with the reminders of her parents at the RM and coming home to a very ill Sashi. Payal puts her mind at ease but as soon as she asks how her day was, again all she could think of was his "pata ha kaisa lagta hai" her heart sinks with all his pain.
As for Arnav, looks up at the sky, standing in front of a vine that winds around the wooden frame.

The vines again representing his mom as she resides in all these plants that bring her son feel closer to her. Today he missed her badly, perhaps needed some strength to face Khushi the next day so he could apologize. A solemn beautiful ending to a solmn day.
The next morning brings a brand new day and a brand new Arnav Singh Raizada!! He stands in front of the mirror, flustered, anxious, nervous, inconfident, unsure, and totally lost on the saying "sorry" thing. he tries out a few different tones making for a hilarious scene,

Take one: "dekho meri baat dhyaan se suno...kal ghar mein jo bhi hua woh...i mean tumne, matlab maine jo bhi kaha" (listen to me carefully, whatever happened yesterday, i mean you, meaning whatever i said..)
It just wasn't coming together, so he tries ASR mode
Take two: "Khushi.Kumaari.Gupta'
Nope not what he's going for either "this is so tough"
He gives himself a pep talk
"itna mushkil nahi hai, dheere araam se, sirf sorry kehna hai, bahot aasaan hai" (Its not so hard, take it easy, only have to say sorry)
For sure Take three he was going to get it if his concentration wasn't broken by La, never seen him so annoyed with her...

he goes back to he mirror even while she still there. He probably doesn't even realize how important Khushi has become. La continues her tradition Indian wife avataar and brings him a shirt but Arnave is quick to tell her "relax..i'm not going to the office today"
She asks if she can go to the party "Since when do you need my permission?" he bluntly asks her. IF ASR came off controlling with Khushi, it was only because of what Khushi was able to stir up in him in ways noone else dared, his need too always be in control around the girl that drove his life out of control. He was never dominating over La or Anjali or any other women in his life for that matter, he very much practiced his "live and let live" philosophy and CVs made sure to hight light that.

the door bell rings "aaj to usse sorry bol kar rahuna (today i'm going to say sorry to her)"..he's determined, but this line makes me wonder, he has felt like saying it before hmmm

He nervously waits, JP goes to open the door, "send them to the poolside to me" Arnave tell JP. His dhak dhaks get louder at the sound of the door slidign open, i don't think he has ever been so nervous in his life! "mujhe tumse kuchh baat karni hai"

"jo boln hai boliey sahaab" Arnavs eye raise up like "what the!" as the manly voice, definetly not khushi's, speaks up in fear...poor Balwaar, wrong time wrong place, had to endure "get out" from Arnav.

Another epic scene at the dining table as Arnav immanently turns down La's lunch date offer and fishes for confirmation on when Khushi will be coming to put an end to his misery...
"aur waise bhi, tumhare paas time kaha hai? woh ladki aayegi na ..kya naam hai woh.." "you don't have time anyways, since that girl will come, whats her name?"

interesting how the CVs kept in mind that all his encounters have mostly been a secret from everyone, all the family knows is he hates that girl "woh ladki" he has to pretend her name is not worth it to remember 😆
La mentions Pam and Sim, adding insult to injury...he needs to make it more clear
"woh ladki aati hai na tumhe train karn ke liye"
"KHushi!" la finally gets it.
bingo! He lets his frustration out since Khushi is keeping him waiting..."Di, appk uss khushi se kehe dena, aise hi late aati rahi, to uski salary cut kar milegi"
"Di let that Khushi know, that if she keeps coming late like this, her salary will be cut"
Anjali a bit taken back by her brothers random comment, "no need for that CHotey, she took the day off"
Poor guy "what!...i mean why does she need to take the day off...!!" things just keep getting messy for him..."matlab, usse salary kaam ki milti hai ya chu chutti lene ki...(i mean does get paid for working or taking o- off)" digs a deeper hole for himself...Sobti is a genius here and beyond ADORABLE!!

Frustrated at the news of Khushi, La feels the side effects as he yells "Enough Lavanya!"...all she did was ask if he has a headache again...first Balwaar and now La, whose next??

I wonder if someone told KHushi about the effect she was having on laad governor, What would she think? she has seen the effects of her fainting and her tears on him but here she has completely got him turned upside down... behaving and doing things so not ASR!

The funny scenes keep coming, he calls her but, gets nervous and hangs up at the sound of her voice...again a pep talk "sorry to bolna ha, itna difficult bhi nahi hai" (Really Arnav, you've been saying that for a few hours now)

He calls again, but his failure to talk in a timely manner had Khushi believing he's some guy harrasing girls "Don't you have a mom and a sis at home?" she scolds,

appalling him with those words, he hangs up...after which as usual his presence reached her a bit late, she knew it was him and i have a feeling she could sense his bechaini (restlessness) and just how badly he longed to see her...

in the cutest way he expresses his anger over her taking off today...of all days, (like she was supposed to know) "Khushi kumaari gupta, aaj jab mujhe usse baat karni thi to chutti lene ki kya zarurat thi?"
The "laws of attration" go to work for him...He really wants to see her today, dil se (from the heart)..

Drool Corner!!!!!!!

❤️❤️

at last, i read it. super take, ami. what an enjoyable episode and you are right, it's a relaxed one before the intensity sweeps us awaty again. in those days, the creatives gave a faraq, looked at the whole week, and managed the design to really entertain the viewer, take us the through various moods, not take us for granted. wasn't he hot in the mirror. what an actor. the first scene, yes, i did feel therew as a suggestion that she was somehow part of the barsi... via thoughts. good one on shyam hanging around buaji 😆. hate the chap which is good as far as story telling is concerned. the only rason i tolerated that soaked in saccharine scene with anjali was because it was used to plant the thought of "maafi." very interesting putting together of epi.

what, you said sobti is a genius and beyond ADORABLE. aap toh bade shatir ho. muaaah and hugs for all sobti observations here. that gorgeous live and let llive of asr... so not like the people of our world, i adore it. that casual, since when did you have to take my permission... aaa i am so happy to see this casual fling off of patriarchal ways as he pulls on his waist coat and sharp differently coordinated clothes instead.

love your "chosen" shot in the corner. this episode with him ready to live with his flaw and not hide earned super respect from me. some might say i am biased 🤣. please ponder gulabi, baingani, yuck hara, and nice laal.

brilliant take.👏

Khushi is not there physically but her heart and mind are with him and i have a feeling that somewhere in the back of his head during the puja, her weeping face lingers thinking about her parents too.
He heart was pricking becoz of her Arnavji's pain.

This is a new phase in their relationship, the mutual understanding of each other's pain will go far and will always be cherished by both.
absolutely. They will heal each other's pain eventually.

Anjali continues to act cold towards Shyaam (LOVE her like this), she unleashes her frustration on him in the kitchen, explaining to him that she feels like they're drifting apart, they're not spending enough time together...Shyams true colors come out, he blows up "so do you want me float around you all day?" In his quest to woo his wife, he accidentally plays cupid once again to Arnav and Khushi planting the idea of "maafi" in Arnav's head.
shyam's drama was disgusting .but he sure did help arnav to get the thought of maafi.

Though the general idea was there as he looked for her to tell he felt badly, i think it hit him that it's called apologizing.

brilliant take.
Arnav's distorted past made him ruthless and arrogant. But unlike Shyam he was guileless and honest.

At night time, their constant thoughts of each other takes them both under the stars.

he is in contrition. To say sorry to Khushi is the solution to ease his guilt.. But he is too amatur in this area. It was so adorable how he was practicing in front of the mirror!

Take one: "dekho meri baat dhyaan se suno...kal ghar mein jo bhi hua woh...i mean tumne, matlab maine jo bhi kaha" (listen to me carefully, whatever happened yesterday, i mean you, meaning whatever i said..)

La's presence is too annoying for him, specially when he is in Khushi's thought.

very well said. ASR never imposed his likings or opinions to anybody. That is the sign of a great human being.

the door bell rings "aaj to usse sorry bol kar rahuna (today i'm going to say sorry to her)"..he's determined, but this line makes me wonder, he has felt like saying it before hmmm

i also think so.

"jo boln hai boliey sahaab" Arnavs eye raise up like "what the!" as the manly voice, definetly not khushi's, speaks up in fear...poor Balwaar, wrong time wrong place, had to endure "get out" from Arnav.

Barun was absolutely brilliant in the scene.

Frustrated at the news of Khushi, La feels the side effects as he yells "Enough Lavanya!"...all she did was ask if he has a headache again...first Balwaar and now La, whose next??

I wonder if someone told KHushi about the effect she was having on laad governor, What would she think? she has seen the effects of her fainting and her tears on him but here she has completely got him turned upside down... behaving and doing things so not ASR!
i wish if they recollects those moments later when their MU finally gets over.Actually there are so many moments, their unspoken words or feelings, even event needed to reveal in the show.

The funny scenes keep coming, he calls her but, gets nervous and hangs up at the sound of her voice...again a pep talk "sorry to bolna ha, itna difficult bhi nahi hai" (Really Arnav, you've been saying that for a few hours now)

that is also a reason of his restlessness, coz he didn't see her whole day.

Episode 84-87
(A third person talking to Khushi about Arnav)
To pata chalta...
Party ke liye inkaar kiya, to Lavanya ne aapko bulaya
Aapko dekhkar Khushiji, unhone aapse kuch kehna chaha
Kya thi wo adhuri baat, sochne jab lage, to unhe saamne paaya
Sirf aapse milne ke liye, party mein chale aaye, ye jaan leti Khushiji
To pata chalta...
Shaadi ki har baat par, Lavanya ko hai daanta
Dulhan banakar bitha diya, phir bhi man unka na bhatka
Soch mein aap pad gaye, ke kaise mile koi rasta
Ghunghat mein aapko dekhkar, aap par tiki unki nazron ko yaad karti Khushiji
To pata chalta...
Jhagda Lavanya se ho gaya, unse rishta toda
Sulah ki na ki koyi baat, aisi har baat se muh moda
Kaisa pyaar hai, socha aapne, kyun nahin faraq hai padta
Aapke Lucknow jaane ki baat par unke chehre ke haav-bhaav ko yaad karti Khushiji
To pata chalta...
Pata chalta ki wo aap hain, jinse milne ko dil unka tarasta hai
Pata chalta ki wo aap hain, jinke liye dil unka dhadakta hai
Pata chalta ki wo aap hain, jinke door jaane se faraq unhe padta hai
Ek baar apne dil par pade parde ko hataa kar dekhti Khushiji
To pata chalta...
Translation:
He refused for the party, so Lavanya called you
On seeing you, he wanted to tell you something
You were thinking about that incomplete talk, when you saw him in front of you
Only to meet you, he came to the party, if you realised this Khushiji
Then you would have known...
For every marriage talk, he scolded Lavanya
You made her sit like a bride, but his mind never wavered
You started thinking about how to find a way
If you remembered the looks he had on you when he saw you in the veil Khushiji
Then you would have known...
There was a fight with Lavanya, and the relationship was broken
He did not talk about patching up, turned away from any such talk
You thought what sort of love is this, why doesn't it matter
If you remembered his facial expressions when you talked about going to Lucknow, Khushiji
Then you would have known...
You would have known, that it is you, whom he yearns to meet
You would have known, that it is you, for whom his heart beats
You would have known, that it is you, whose going far away matters to him
For once if you removed the veil of your heart Khushiji
Then you would have known...

Durga, ⭐️ u've outdone yourself this time me ❤️❤️❤️s it!! love how connected lucknow and the dupatta scene...finishing up writing my 84 soon, and thinking if only she would think for sec and let him talk before instigating another fight with him. a big part of her knows about the weak spot he has for her, but a big part of her is scared of all these feeling, she looks the other way. anyway you pick up on it beatufully with you amazing word!
