What did IPK mean to me?
A serial that had two cracking characters with sizzling chemistry. Protagonists with a spine and a strong set of beliefs and how their worlds clashed.

How did I find IF?
I have been on IF since 2006, during Indian Idol season 2. I used to roam around every now and then in the bollywood forum occasionally, before SJ's witty posts about IPK pulled me in.

Did you even like IPK?
Yes I did, until the kidnapping track. And in bits after that, like the remarriage. The only reason I liked the show towards the end was due to SI's effortless display of Kushi. She and she alone made me watch the show many a times.

Sanaya Irani?
The soul of the show. The only reason I stuck with IPk for a long time. A good actor rises above a bad script, she did. She made me like Kushi in spite of the shabby and inconsistent writing of the character. Sincere, committed, hard working and drop dead gorgeous even when she was shooting round the clock. Received less credit for obvious reasons.

I'm so glad that within three months of closure, she has been offered the main lead in a new show, that rightly revolves around her and is being launched in a big way. Normally actors take almost a year to move to a new show. This by itself is the biggest testament of her fabulous work in IPK.

I had to clap..👏

After this show ended, I don't feel like watching any show for 3 reasons:-

a. What if I get attached to the show?

b. What if the show is ruined?

c. How will I write my ArHi FFs?

To be honest RC, I have seen loads of good hindi shows in past as hindi lang was meant for learning and entertainment for me since school days . I liked watching shows like mr.yogi, tahekeqat,shanti,sea hawks,aarohan,nyay,itihas,swabiman,junoon,school days, hip hip hurray,saans,kora kagaz,ek koshish,tum pukar lo,heena,astitva,mehendi,babul se duhahe leti ja, chandrakantha,captain vyom,kuch juki se nazar ,dekh bhai dekh,tu tu mai mai,hum paanch etc

I also watched k soaps of ekta kapoor like kutumb 1 n 2 , ksbkbt,kggk,kzk,kyph,kaa,ks,kth,kmhz etc

I'm from south and even today I don't find the need to speak hindi here and hindi shows are for entertainment only to me .

Later , I started to watch for some good content and technical aspects on tv at this stage in terms of entertainment and was avoiding k soaps and gave up watching those shows after some time completely.luckily star one was launched and I liked watching shows like hotel kingston,pyaar ki kashti,india calling,guns and roses ,remix ,sarabhai vs sarabhai etc I also started to watch english shows on tv and online but I liked english comedy more than english drama.

So , ipk is just like any other show for me and I watched it for technical aspect only not for the content.

Now , you ( and other basherz) know I watch pakistani shows online coz of good content and technically excellent executioin .i already finished watching few shows like mata e jaan,humsafar,dastan,meri naseeb,zindagi gulhar hai,talkhiya,zil e muztar( currently 3 of them are on air)

By now, i hope you would know the choice of shows ( content and technicality wise ) and actor/actress work I have seen and enjoyed them so far, that's entertainment for me.

I came to know abt IF through sony india website during kyph days .how strange? after long time, I will be be visiting sony section again in IF. We will all meet in chhan chhan forum from next week onwards.

My family ( especially mom) likes sanz a lot and waiting for 25^th. mom prefers light hearted shows only after hectic day at work place.they do not watch hindi shows much as much as I have watched hindi shows in my private tv since school days and I was good at acamedics too.

Best part abt watching chhan chhan is that my family will sit together in front of big tv screen at one place for 4 days a week for 30 mins atleast ,instead of them watching tv in their respective rooms . I am very happy abt it coz we sit together to watch tv in common hall only on festivals . We are not even cricket crazy people so no ipl for my family .

Barun Sobti?

Got hooked me to IPKKND.His eyes does the acting ,he is subtle and doesn't overact.

I don't know why many felt that his acting went crashing down after the kidnapping track but for me it's his looks,not his acting.His health was deteriorating and that reflected on his looks.The only scene in which I didn't like Barun's acting was during ArHi first date

I adore him both as a person and as an actor.He has an amazing screen presence

Did I mention that he is my first crush ❤️

Looking forward to see him more...

Sanaya Irani?

I didn't like her in the initial episodes(till Terimeri) may be because of her make-up or appearance or whatever the reasons might be

IMO,she is good at emotional scenes rather than comedy scenes.Of course,I liked her comedy before remarriage mainly during Nainital trip and Kanya pooja.

After remarriage,her OTT comedy became unbearable that I used remote for the first time during watching IPKKND

I wish her All the Best for her new show ChhanChhan

Soaps like IPKKND never come too often.I thank Gul and the team for giving me a memorable show

By the way nice thread with full of constructive criticism after a long time...

Edit:I forgot to mention that Barun is a lazy fellow,he didn't groom himself properly in some of the episodes 🥺

i said it on page 11. Thanks for the sweet words. Im glad u cud understand how the show was very integral to me. Indeed the feel was more of that sort might be cause iam from delhi, .. Lalit mohan , nissar, gul, Rc i mean rajesh chaddha , barun, Akshay dogra, Aman, hitesh kevalya, some other creatives also...had a delhi connection. Some had been brought up in delhi and some have completed their education in delhi..

So for me it somehow feels IPKKND creations really exists in delhi..

What did IPK mean to me?

This is going to seem melodramatic but IPK helped me at time in my life when i would look at all the TV dramas unable to care or focus on anything in life. Switching channels between the umpteen shows I was watching I came across a vision in red with hair blowing and a wonderful back ground score to accompany her...she was so innocent and sensual at the same time, I was mesemerised and found a focus (OK, I guess it bordered on obsession) tio get me through some tough times.

How did I find IF?

I don't remember how I found IF but I had been coming here for a long time just to read updates on the shows I watched. I joined in January 2009 because a lot of posts were being made 'members only'. I think the first time I posted was during the forced marriage track when it upset me that people were romanticising physical and emotional abuse.

Did you even like IPK?

No, I loved it! I never wanted it to end...I lapped it all up from the brilliant to the dire.The only track I fast forwarded was the Shyamli one apart from that I watched everything over and over again.

Barun Sobti?

Wasn't too impressed with his portrayal of ASR in the beginning as I found him too stiff even for a stiff character but as he got more comfortable in the role he improved and had a period of brilliance but I am one of those who feel that the dialogues also played a huge part in that. In fact i think the dialogue writers were the unsung hero's of the show.

As an actor i feel that Sobti does have potential and when he puts his mind to it gives mind blowing performances.

At a personal level I don't respect his views on certain topics and generally am not impressed by his off screen personality but as I don't know him personally I try not to let those things cloud my judgement.of his skill.

I will always appreciate what he did for ASR when he wanted to and although I don't dislike him i don't particularly like him above liking anyone out there...guess you could say I try to remain indifferent to him because otherwise I would show a negativity towards him which wasn't generated by him

Sanaya Irani?

Now we're talking! The actress in this PH's previous show had totally put me off the bubbly small town girl comes to the big city done a hundred times before character, but boy how Ms. Irani changed that. After seeing the photoshoot scene I went on an IPK marathon spree and was impressed with Sanaya from the very first scene and by the time the jalebi making suicide was through I was in love with Khushi Kumari Gupta. Sanaya handled every emotion perfectly and for the first time in my life I was paying more attention to the female lead than the male. Sanaya made me laugh with and laugh at KKG,she made me cry with and cry for KKG and she made me cheer for the strong KKG jo darti hain par karti hain. She made even the most difficult to digest episodes and character butchering easier to handle. She is second to none when it comes to comedy and delivers emotional scenes with the same aplomb...she is truly a complete actor. The few times when she wasn't there were noticeable and I missed her even though the onscreen drama was good.the story of IPK may have been about ASR but Sanaya Irani was the life and soul of the show.

My overwhelming respect for Sanaya as a person came at the closing fiasco. The grace, self esteem empathy and sympathy this young lady displayed was truly applause worthy and for the first time in my life I fell prey to both the onscreen talent and offscreen personality of an actor and became a fan

Ipk means a lot to me.ipk isnt the 1st hindi soap which i watched but ipk is the 1st soap that made place in my heart.
The rain wala.promo attracted me but i never saw the reflection of that promo in story properly.the chemistry of arhi was awsome!!!!
I was searching 4 wu then i accidently came 2 if.
Bs made asr alive.he was great as asr 4 a certain period.l used 2 admire him but not now
S is 4 stunning n thats what sanaya is.she showed great dedication towards the show.
Ps.bcoz of ipk i found if whr i made great friends thats why ipk is alys special 4 me. IPK ROCKS
