The last place I ever wanted to make a post was here.
But being called a bitch, s**t and what not made me realise a few things.
I am not going to take any moral high ground or tell you what to do.
Instead I want to talk about IPK and make some peace because for God's sake this forum is despicable.
What did IPK mean to me?
I am quite the introvert. Barely talk in real life and spend my time at the theater or reading Shakespeare. Indian drama is the last thing I thought I'd watch. But then one day Ipk happened, my roommate pissed me off by watching Korean drama and I wanted to piss her off by watching Indian drama. Boy did that turn out differently. Ended up watching all of IPK. Fell in love with Arnav and Khushi and the rest honestly is history.
How did I find IF?
I stumbled across this forum while googling 'who plays Arnav?' Quite ironical wouldn't you say? So I made a post saying while Sobti is a good actor,he has a long way to go. Nice debate that was. Surprisingly people were nice and we all fangirled as well as had a decent conversation about Sobti's acting ability.
Then ofc IPK became shit and people became shitty after that as well.
Did you even like IPK?
Of course I did. So much that even after so many days I think about them and giggle about them and fangirl about them.
Barun Sobti?
Was an actor who played ASR. Someone who made me swoon and giggle and squeal. Someone who made me think that there's more to Indian drama then mediocrity.
Yes I dislike him now. But that's not what I want to tell you. I want to tell you that Sobti was a great ASR.
Sanaya Irani?
She played Khushi with such enthusiasm and I liked her because she gave so much for a show that I loved. She was pretty as a pearl and I have a girl crush on her.
Everyone has a story. And amidst our hatred we all forget that. I want to know your IPK story because I'm sick and tired of being judged. I'm sure you are too.
This isn't about Sobti or Gul or whatever. This is about me wanting to know your story. We all hate Sobti/Irani/Gul/the tea boy on sets who gave us spoilers/etc But who cares about them? I want to know the real people with real feelings here who are reading this.
I said everyone. Doesn't matter if you hate me. As long as you loved IPK, I want to hear your story.
