Top Five Cute Fights Between Arnav and Khushi

Arnav and Khushi won't be Arnav and Khushi if they didn't fight. As Nani and Anjali pointed out, they will spend their entire lives fighting like cat and mouse- when one's ahead, the other is behind them and vice versa.

But not all their fights are the bitter, and explosive ones. Sometimes they fight just for the heck of it, because they don't know how else to communicate. In fact, constantly bickering with each other is what they are comfortable with-- it's their way of expressing their love and affection.

You can tell, Barun and Sanaya are in their comfort zone during these scenes, because it's cute and friendly, without being overly romantic or intense. Almost like their off-screen relationship.

5. Arnav tries to woo Khushi back.

A: Mere saat Agra chalo. Taj Mahal dekhle na (Come to Agra with me and see the Taj Mahal)
K: Humne dekha hai. Aur waise bi hume safayi karni chayiye (I've already seen it. Besides, I have to clean)
A: Apne dimak ki (Of your brain)
K: Woh to apke jaane ke baad ho jayegi (I'll do that once you leave)
K: Nah aapke baho me samana hai, na aapko apna pati maan nahe aur nahi taj mahal dekhni hai (I don't want to run into your arms, accept you as my husband, or see the Taj Mahal)
A [from far away]: Suna maine (I heard that).
K: Suna na ab dhyan bi lijiye (You heard right, so understand it!)

(Love the entire scene, but the last 2 mins are pertinent for my purpose)

Any water fight between them is entertaining, but I love this one because Arnav thinks she'll come running into his arms because he recreated the moment where she splashed hot tea on him. Oh brother! And then he gets angry that she doesn't.

The entire wooing back process is hilarious, but I love this scene because of the last few minutes of their fight, when he asks her to come see the Taj Mahal with him. They fought like a typical husband and wife who've been married for a lot longer than these two. There's no weight behind what they are saying, it's just the natural way a married couple fight. That's what makes this scene so endearing.

Of course, the deal to run into his arms, is a bonus with a special touch of Arnav/Khushi.

4. Fight over what side of bed to sleep on.

A: "Nah main uss taraf jaonga, nah tum iss taraf aogi" (I won't go on that side, and you can't come on this side)
K: "Humari itni himmat, keh hum laxman rekha...Arnav rekha par kare" (How can I dare to cross Laxman...Arnav Rekha).

Even in their sleep they don't get respite from it all. I adore this scene! Arnav is so new to everything middle class, but his insolence doesn't leave him. They fight over what side of bed they should sleep on, and he wins, as usual. Unfortunately, that makes little difference as his wife's taekwondo positions keep him up all night- no matter how hard he tries to push her off. Although this is not a fight, it shows how they fight over the silliest things such as what side to sleep on.

3. New Year's Eve

K: Hey Bhagwan! Raat ko baara baje humne kiska chehra dekhliya! (Oh god! Whose face did I end up seeing at midnight)
K: Excuse me?! Maine bhi tumhara chehara dekha hai! (Even I saw your face!)

The New Year's Eve arc has got to be the funniest episodes of IPKKND. I was laughing so hard throughout the entire four-five episodes. Of course Arnav would end up seeing Khushi at midnight. And boy, does Khushi's sanak blow out of proportion that night. They have an intense eyelock at midnight, yet flip out over it as if it's the worst thing that could happen.

And talk about comedy of errors. NK shows up, so predictably Arnav blows a fuse. Regardless, this scene belongs to Sanaya Irani. Her comic timing is perfect! The utak-pataks, throwing him on the bed, 'what the-what the-ing'-- what a riot! It was utter pandemonium that night.

The icing on the cake- in spite of all that happens, Arnav leaves the place proclaiming himself as the winner because he ripped her kameez. When the hell did that night become a competition?! Only they will understand their dynamics. We just like to sit back and watch with a huge tub of popcorn.

2. Birthday Surprise.

A [dragging K to the cake]: Blow out the candle and cut the cake. Do as I say!
K: Aap humari janamdin manarahe hai ya hume dhamki de raheye?!

(Start at 2:05)

Leave it to Arnav to make something as simple as wishing his wife a happy birthday seem like pulling teeth. Nevertheless, it made for some of the most giggle-worthy moments between them. The poor guy tries so hard to impress her- roses, decorations, cake, and don't get me started on that designer bag. hahaha, I like how he gets momentarily distracted by the state of that bag while trying to create a romantic mood. Clearly, his wife is not like the women he dated previously who'd swoon over such costly presents.

All she wants is for him to wish her a happy birthday, and he does everything but that. Not lovingly, but with force. Because being gentle and loving in normal situations is still alien to them at that point, whereas coercion and bickering is their comfort zone.

Sanaya was fantastic, but this scene belonged to Barun. I love how the guy changes his expression between affection, confusion, and exasperation within seconds.

1. Silent Fighting

I've mentioned a multiple times that the beauty of Arnav and Khushi's relationship is their silent communication. They don't need words to communicate. Be it to express their love, or to fight. So, it's hardly a surprise that this is my numero uno scene.

So they decided not to talk to each other. But that doesn't stop Khushi from expressing her concern when he is about to eat the spicy daal. Arnav being Arnav (a conceited jerk) ignores her warning and proceeds to eat it, especially after she gave him an "I told you so" look. And of course, she rubs salt to the wound by demonstrating what happened and gives him milk to soothe the heat in his mouth. Let's fast forward to her in the kitchen making all that noise to annoy him. He wants so badly to yell at her, but because of his own deal, he can't.

Fantastic acting by both Barun and Sanaya-- they continue to annoy the hell out of each other without saying a single word.

Notable Mentions
- Kanya puja- When he discovers his broken model and his picture with a moustache

- Bluetooth during Nanital Trip

A: "Shut up!...You idiot!" / K:"Aap humse baat kar rahe hai ya unse?" / A: "Tumse" / K: Hum jaanthe the...aap humse aise baat kyu karenge"/ A: "Not you Aman. Mein tumse baat kar raha hoon KKG, SHUT UP!"

Are you talking to me or him/ You/ I thought so, why would you talk to me like that/ I'm talking to you KKG...

- Changing Arnav's tire. He refuses to apologize

- Cocktail party.

A: You know pehle mujhe lagta tha ke tum aadi pagal ho. But clearly you've proven me wrong. (I used to think you were half crazy)
K: Yeh baat! (er...not sure. Something along the lines of 'That's it!')

- The entire Sangeet challenge.

- Khushi says she hates the bangles Arnav got for her, and he gets pissed.

- Water fight at the office.

- Holi when she makes him drink Bhaang

- Khushi increases the volume of the TV, Arnav compares her hearing and brain size to Laxmi the goat. Khushi calls Arnav a cockroach.

- Shaitan/ Sundari

K: "Bache mann ke sache hothe hai, isiliye woh jangaye ke aap shaitan hai aur hum sundari" (Kids are supposed to be pure of heart so they recognized that I'm the beauty and you're the beast).
A: "Sundari, aur tum? Ghar main itne sare sheeshe hai, ek dekh lo" (You and Sundari [beautiful]. There are so many mirrors in this house, check one).

- Swami antics

- Fight outside GH when his car parts get stolen and other fights during their time there.

- Arnav brings Khushi into their room after Raksha Bandhan

K: "Itna andhera hai. Aapne bathi kyu jaladhi?" (It's so dark! Why did you turn off the light)
A: "Waise light on hotha hai tho bhi tumhari bathi kaha jalthi hai" (What difference does it make- it's not like your brain's light turns on when the light is on).
K: "Yeh kaisa tana hai" (What kind of a taunt is that?)

- Haldi
K: "Agar aapko shaadi nahi karni tho koi baat nahi, humare paas Salman Khan-ji hai" (If you don't want to get married, no problem. I have Salman Khan
A: "Yea, dekha tha maine...Laxmi Nagar ke traffic light ke paas wait kar raha hai. Jao jake shaadi karlo" (yea i saw, he's waiting for you at that traffic light- go get married).

- Khushi comes back to Raizada house to reapply Mehndi (Definitely needs to be up there, I know).

K: Aapne dhoka ki hai (You cheated)
A: Imandari se bhulatha tho tum aati? (If I had called in the proper way would you have come?)
K: Nahi aate. Apne humara phone kata (I wouldn't. You cut my call)
A: Tumne bhi tho kaata. Char baar (Even you cut my calls. Four times)
K: Ha..kyunki hum aapse ghusa the. Apne humara dil dukhaya Arnavji (Yea, because I was angry with you. You hurt me)
A: Sorry.

- Fake fight to make Di give Shyam "Abortion" pills.

XXX
And with that ends my Top Five Arshi scenes lists. My goal was to make ten lists, and I made a complete circle (starting and ending with fight scenes).I know a couple people recommended making other lists such as top dialogues, top eyelocks etc., and I tried to do so, but there are just way too many of them. Maybe I'll make it some time in the future, but I am content with what I've made as of now. Thanks for appreciating them. Hope they help you enjoy some of the most cherished scenes when you want to go down the IPKKND memory lane.

I'm in the process of making three non-Arshi lists, though I doubt people will enjoy it as much.

Happy Browsing!
