Hi, Yoyumean Manorama being Mamaji's second wife was what mentioned in an interview as I never recall hearing about it in any episodes. But this makes perfect sense as Dhruv being Mamaji's son from his first wife as nani won't mention some one from Manorama's family side, anyone else in the same pitch (importance) as Arnav and Akash. Well dhruv was a character that should have entered ipk but gul later scrapped that out

Yes...But the makers had changed it...Actually makers had made a lot of change...At first they wanted to make Arnav more darker, wanted to carry office track.I remembered an old interview where Gul herself said that IPK was going to be a love triangle with Arnav , Khusi and Dhruv...But they changed the concept...Scrapeout Druv's character...and more move into Di Ki Saut where Shyam being the third person in their love story...

Yes, we heard of the considerable toning down of ASR from their original dark characterization many a times from Gul and others. But not sure of how this love triangle worked though as a story line of Di ki saut was always on cards and the original plot/ name of the show was Vaidehi.
