It's good to really have some idea about Mami, for what she is and how and why is she is so.
Khushi and food go hand in hand..Where there's food, there's Khushi..LOL! Everyone by now knows about it. And when she's away it, it means something is terribly wrong, either with the body or the mind, but definitely wrong.
Mami loves food too..Aww! We all know how much she missed it on KC! "Investigation toh karni hi padi..." This one's one of my fav one-liners by Mamiji!Mami poses to be all haughty and rude and even insensitive but none would have guessed that she has that soft side hidden in her.
Khushi looking at the stars trying to compose herself, convince herself. The scene is very heart-touching.
Soft sobs racking her body, she's missing her husband terribly. That soft whisper of his name, it's unwinds the heart. Poor woman, it must be terrible for her to keep her fear under the wrap and be strong. Women, can in general, understand the turmoil but Mami is the one who I understands it better than anyone - one she knows how much Khushi suffered the last time Arnav was away and secondly, she herself being away from her husband for such a long time would understand the predicament better than everyone else. Love the way, like a mother, she reflexively turns around and goes in to comfort her.
She considers Anjali and Arnav to be her children. I think that's the greatest and best part of her, that ability to love them as her own children and not differentiating them with her own sons. A little bit of self- respect and teeny-weeny bit of ego stops her from openly declaring her love for Payal and Khushi. And had she done so, it would be unlike her. This one's better and more over the sisters understand the love that is underneath the sarcasm. And given how much the sisters have done for the family, can anyone not love them?!
As always Khushi tries to hide her worry lest the family is worried because of her. She's such a considerate woman, always has the rest as her priority. Childish yet mature. Bet this is what Arnav loves in her the most! All Khushi needs is someone to tell her that everything is going to be alright and he is safe. Mami's soft assuring words are the limits. She's not able to constrain herself. She pours out her pent up feelings and lets out the tears.
When she hears her husband's voice, it's like saans mein saans aa gayi! The couple have come a long way. The Khushi now is changed enough to acknowledge her fears, voice it out to Arnav and express her desire openly. When she says 'jaldie aayyiye, humare paas' it reflects the yearning of her heart and soul..Love the way she admonishes and orders him telling that next time, she's not going to let him go alone. Ajeeb baate miyan-biwi dono karte hain! 😆 Having his wife come back to normalcy, it must have been a huge relief for him. He definitely cannot have/tolerate his wife worried and crying in anguish. Had he the power to apparate, he would have definitely done so. Anything for his wife.
Mami quietly left the room knowing that her dear phatti saadi was in safe hands now and giving them the much needed privacy. And when Khushi's back to normal, all's well in Raizada household! Love the concern the entire family has for her and those rare smiles that adorn Mami's face at times. Makes me believe that world is after all not so bad, just that there are different people, each having their own way of expressing.
Not everyday people get to see the country's the famous tycoon drop down his bags and twirl his wife. That would definitely be a sight for all but the couple. The inhibitions gone, they are two people madly in love with each other, not able to stand the distance between them. Need I say, I love their love
You know what Dee, it feels like just yesterday I read the first vignette and now we're already on the 15th one( almost 30 including all the parts of 12th). Time does flee. So on this occasion, cheers to you :)
