All he said was that he felt he was not doing anything new after a certain point and his hectic life till then (since start of his career) had gotten to him.

People do get exhausted and need a break once in a while. Especially creative people..

Fame will become a hindrance if you let it. This one particular sentence says everything about him. Exactly he and RK are in the same line. Some people may find him arrogant or ungrateful, but I don't think so because he has expressed his unhappiness about the way indian TV industry works much before also. My BIL was against me following these serials and all and he used to criticize the shows and its pattern of running more than 3 years and all and suddenly when i discussed about this, he said that guy is really intelligent and very honest that he showed the courage to stand up against this and i really thing he deserves respect. You said right, most of the shows lose its charm after the first 6 to 8 months, then we can see some exercises for TRPs from every side. what is the use for such things. The only show I watched this religiously was IPK and i could not hide my dissatisfaction with its deteriorated quality since February 2012 where the show lacked its charm horribly and the only attracting point was arshi. I find him very loyal since he is repeating the same reason for his exit from the show. He indeed deserves all praises. i salute his guts to speake his voice on indian shows ... few year i was die hard fan of shows like DMG, MJHT, sanjeeveni ... but they lost charm within few monthes...i stopped to watch ...however these show dnt fall in sas bahu category ...but we cant deny the fact they r out of the track from their orginial concept ... love stories does nt meant to long run ... how many people watch long running shows here ...as per my knowledge whenever i found IPK is most popular shows amongest youngstes who claims they want unique shows like IPK ... now why sudden these people supporting long running shows ...till yesterday people here make fun of sathiya , gopi bahu , naitk , and all these shows ...now suddenly they become supporter of these shows ...just becoz of they hate barun and they need reason to blame him ...
