LOVED the stuff above especially the first pause, he did react with the rose that way b/c it hurt his mom, and he reacted with plant that way b/c Khushi hurt him. nicely done :) and yes standing ovation for Barun, i would wish that some day he come on this site and read what we have to say about him as the mighty ASR. they could've bought in any of the khans, kapoors, roshans, noone would've done :)

Episode 34

finally, she answered his question.

her insults found their mark. a spark of return anger in his eyes. he picked up the pot he was tending with such care and dashed it on the ground. it shattered.

today even his plants failed to bring him comfort, peace, stability. storm in his eyes. as di carried on asking things.

a man and a woman stood lost in thoughts of a person they didn't want to think about. they stood quiet and scanning memories in the mind in their own separate spaces, but never really apart.


an intimate, almost set aside sequence with a curious intimacy all its own. camera close, touching skin, lingering, wondering, tying stories together. she held the key and stared at it long. his fingers closed over the pearls.

she could see that yet, nothing about him ever touched her. if anything, she was perplexed, a bit turned off every time he tried to get close...

what if it was about eternity? hamesha? but shyam's pyaar did not know that span of time. like shyam, it was limited.

epi 34- lol i treid to keep is short and select only the MOST fav lines, but you make it so hard dear. Loved all the lines and the revelations above especially the first two lined. you tied his question with her answer! nicely done :). loved the whole flow. oh i always forget to mention you pic edits! you do a fab job with them, so thought provoking

how much asr gets from her. at times mirrors of each other, in their stubbornness, their turn of phrase, and their ability for big love and deep conscience.

with her wisdom nani might have checked the damage and turned the tide, but this was not to be.

can't be cruel looking into the eyes of those he loves. they need to be shut out.

a riveting scene. barun sobti said more in this dense scene minus a single dialogue, than all the words he said this episode. packed with nuance, body virtually speaking, conveying all his feelings; as he looked immersed in thoughts while packing and then pulled himself upright hearing nani's words, that jerky, focussed way in which he packed, that waiting to get a hold of himself before his own reflection... who would have thought this was just a performance, and he but an actor of asr. this man was asr. i was rapt as i watched him. brilliant is the only word that seemed to fit.


an important episode,here we heard asr spell out his philosophy of life really, vis a vis others. respect for others way of life and respect for his. that's all. level, undemanding, fair. there was also a cry many of us have felt in us as we became adults and those who cared for us couldn't see it: i am grown up now, old enough to make my own mistakes.

there was also a shade of the individualist sixties' rebel. deep, emotional, intense, and willing to take action if his way is not respected.

so many shades in just this situation. i have to say there was something utterly sexy in the way his concern changed to assertion, then anger, losing control, resolving to stay with his decision, packing and leaving in that energetic, young turk way.


research? as he did later on every ritual he didn't believe in but was important to the love of his life. and insisted things be done the right way. strangely cute is our mr arnav singh raizada.

35-Indi, loved the poem you incorperated, yes this man was certainly special! the stars had to align perfectly for Barun Sobti to give him life. if that's the case, why is she rushing to get ready, go meet him? especially now, now that there's no valid excuse to? she resigned the day before.

sound of breeze fades in, as he gazes at her photograph and the phonecall is forgotten. soft piano notes, rabba vey comes in to join him in his reverie. he is locked, a prisoner of what his eyes behold. or perhaps his heart. memories of a woman in red shyly walk by, he wants more. his fingers move searching, he turns the page. camera goes closer, as absorbed in him as he is in her. a muscle twitches near his right lower jaw. he looks on, unblinking. his hair catching the breeze, playing with it gently.

what's happening to him? a gargantuan effort to control his helpless succumbing. he closes his eyes. a flash of anguish on his face. he really is trying to get a grip on himself. this whole thing is disturbing.

The Boxing Match

"He had been preoccupied with his sister that he hadn't even thought about her today"

KNOCK OUT! Arnav Singh Raizada flat on his back by one Kushi Kumari Gupta!

In the background his family has gathered as spectators of this boxing match'mouths wide open.

He shakily gets up off the floor takes a step forward towards her, she warily steps back, he says, "Are you done?" He accepts defeat and holds his hand out for the resignation letter. She answers, "I AM DONE and hands him her resignation!"

this Champion knows she should feel elated she has won this Boxing Match but she just doesn't feel right. She too has been wounded in the ring. She looks back at him and walks out of the ring'..

33- Loved your description of the two "Boxer" getting into the ring at the beginning and all jabs that lead to Khushi's victory. so true how champion khushi was really not the winner as she walked away. Also glad you picked up on him not thinking about Khushi b/c he was preoccupied with anjali also, it shows what priority Anjali holds.

Our Kushi would usually be jumping for joy and stuffing her favorite foods down her throat but no she is refrained, polite and definitely not herself. Then Why Are You Not Happy?

The Vow

She lets Nani know in her sweet, but firm adorable way, that she has complete faith and trust in Chote's decisions since it is his life and his choice. She always has, they have made a Vow to each other since they were young.

Shyam who is playing chef again.

He explains he was on the phone with a client and she snaps out of it with"what?" She wasn't paying attention. She really never does. He hands her the roti.

Sometimes I don't know who Shyam is talking to, himself or Kushi.

We can see that he doesn't really want to go to Lavanya's because he loves her but to escape from the accusations of being like his father. He doesn't want to marry this girl, he doesn't want to take Vows with her, but he WILL leave his home to live with her...Maybe she doesn't make him FEEL.

In ASR room. He is angry, fuming hearing Nani's words in his head about his father Something terrible happened .

He makes THE VOW. "Di, I am with you. I promise I will never let any harm come to you in your life and as long as I am with you no evil can touch you. You are my world! I can overcome anything just to see you smile."

epi35- It really was an episode of the VOWs, and i have to add one more even though she really didn't come out and say it like it was a vow, Khushi's desire to see that Arnav Singh Raizada...i think she took a silent vow to see him again. call me crazy but its just my view HEHE! most fav parts are above :)

Episode 36

Because, I Said So

GH= Kushi in bed sleeping and dreaming about ASR. "MISS GUPTA!" She bolts up and she asks DM why must she dream about this demon everyday? DM: Because, I SAID SO!

Opens calendar file'sees photos ofLisa'...ok'...Lisa'...ok'.Kushi'.Stops... dead right there and stares. His heart quickens. Rabba Ve'' He is just dumbfounded, taken aback, mouth dry, he swallows, he blinks, he stares'she is beautiful in that red saree. Is he breathing?

Realization and deception is a part of game of life.If one becomes experienced after realizing his/her mistakes but other chooses to go other way around and tries to find easy way to climb up in the game by cheating and deceiving.Deception which is attractive but always ends up in delusion and that ends up in destruction of character completely and losing ALL and everything in the game.That's what is happening in these epis ...

Episode 39...the case of the missing thali (that was pretty much the whole episode)

Anjali at the mandir is getting ready for the pooja but while getting ready she was constantly looking to see if her husband came yet. She has trust in her husband that he will show up and not disappoint her but deep down inside she seems like he will not show up and let her down like the first time he did not show up when he said he will.Anjali's thali goes missing, the thali had something very important which was the raksha daaga that she will tie on her husband herself for his protection. The thali ends up with with khushi. To me the thali is shyam, which belongs to anjali but right now shyam (the thali) is with khushi. Khushi realized who the thali belongs to and goes to return it to anjali. So it means that anjali will lose her husband to someone else but in the end she will get him back (too bad this was proven wrong towards the end of the show...i wanted shyam to be a changed man at the end and realize anjali's love and devotion for him...that will will just remain a wish now)

When La came to the mandir...the Raizadas stared at her...not because she was looking pretty but rather at what she is wearing and how she was carrying herself...she did not seem as confident as she usually is. Arnav turns to his sister and his face is like really...and Anjali looks at arnav and her face is like hey she is trying. La came and talked to the brother and sister. And Arnav excuses himself to buy a new thali for his sister. While on the phone he notices khushi and was just staring at her. when khushi was with payal he was broken out of his reverie and walked away carrying on with his conversation. Khushi gives the thali to payal to return and khushi just lingers around the mandir hoping that she does not bump into arnav. and she is wondering why he is here. As khushi was walking she starts feeling dizzy and is about to faint, arnav sees this and went all Usain Bolt to catch khushi in time. RABBA VEY starts to play and he stares at her before lifting her in his arm (her rightful place)

I am Here/ Main hoon na

In the RM the women are preparing for Teej with their mendhi, Mami is excited, it looks like her henna will turn dark this year meaning she is loved more by her mother in law. She has used lemons all her life what is one more? She goes to do her thing. (I am not familiar with henna or the lemon routine so forgive me). Akash comes and Di is having her mendhi done. He tells her she looks nice and she is so excited she blurts out how she can't wait to go to the temple to meet her husband. This loyal woman adores her man and should be yelling from the rooftop, "I am here! I am here!" Where the heck has he been? We are all wondering who he is and does he really exist? Surprise, surprise is a comin'!

Di asks Akash does he have a special someone fasting for him when Mami overhears and rushes in with, "Who? What? Where?" Di says she was only kidding but Mami says someone from a royal family with her henna laced with gold will be for her Akash. ASR comes and asks if they are ready to go. Di says when her henna dries she will be ready to go. She exclaims that she can't believe Arnav is coming today and he answers with his usual for you, not God. Di takes a chance by asking him to wear the kurta she bought him since he is going and he says in a nut shell not to press her luck. She says he must go now to break Lavanya's fast. "I am here" and I am going against my better judgment. . He looks at her with this almost shy boyish grin, it was so cute. I can't refuse you but you take advantage he tells her. Let's go. Then the mendhi artist passes and Di asks her to put her husband's name on her palm. His name is'..

GH- Buaji asks, "Why did Shyam leave so quickly?" Kushi feels a little dizzy and Payal asks if she is ok? She's says she is fine just can't wait to eat sweets. Buaji admonishes Kushi and tells her to stop thinking about food while fasting or her fast will lose its value.

At the temple Anjali keeps looking at her watch. I am here but where are you? ASR says he will park the car and Akash will help Di. Inside the temple, Anjali still looking out for her husband and she tells Mami that she will wait for him to tie the sacred thread. Mami says he is probably stuck in traffic. Anjali remarks that Goddess Durga waited 108 years for Lord Shiva. Mami turns to her husband and says you better stay close she is not waiting for 108 years. His response, "I am here." Meanwhile Anjali is checking her tray and she notices that the tray is not hers. She is worried what if something happens? She has used the same tray for pooja forever. She feels bad. Whose tray is it ?

GH- Kushi holds the tray and says this tray is heavy. Sensitive girl, Buaji calls her while Payal appeases her. Payal takes the tray and agrees with Kushi. Buaji then takes it and Aye, NandKishore! This tray is silver. Kushi screams, "What?!" Buaji tells Kushi your name should not mean happiness but you should be called Khudkushi (Suicide). She says she sent her for pooja and you steal someone else's tray. They see it is engraved with the Raizada name. Kushi says I made the mistake I will fix the mistake. Anjali must be sad and her husband angry because they have the thread. They leave and Kushi remarks that all the wrongs in the world happen to her. She says she will not break her fast until she fixes her mistake.

At the temple Anjali gets a phone call from her husband and she reminds him to come quickly. I am here.

An auto pulls up and Shyam is hanging up his phone. On one side of the auto is Shyam and Kushi and Payal are on the other, both parties enter into the auto. Kushi sees Shyam, He tells the driver to go to Savitri Nagar for the girls destination and Kushi says no we have Anjali's tray so they are going to Chandi Chowk to return it to her. He looks a bit worried but tells the driver to take the girls there instead and he will get the next auto. As they leave he says to himself what do I tell Rani Sahiba now?
