The Gupta house had been beautifully decorated with rows of fairy lights shining on the walls and ropes of roses and lilies formed chains around the pillars giving a flowery feeling. Music dawned the house with the girls dancing around in circles. The smell of Jalebi's wafted throughout the house which made Khushi run to the kitchen and munch on her favorite snack while getting smacks from Buaji to save some for the actual guests. She ran around in a long peach maxi dress with sleeves going up to her arms while her hair was let loose. She ran around the house with her cousins chasing her and she was in fully fledged laughter. While running she looked back to yell something out to the girls when she turned around quickly but crashed into a hard chest. She screamed out with shock and shut her eyes tightly. She held onto hard muscled arms and breathed in the familiar scent. "Ssh Khushi calm down, I caught you." Said the voice. Khushi slowly opened her eyes to the warm molten brown eyes she loved more than anything. She smiled and let out a sigh when she saw who it was. Arnav was grinning down at her while she slowly pulled out of his arms. Arnav had come to the Gupta house to meet Khushi with the excuse of giving the gifts. He wore his famous black and grey suit with his hair sleeked back. Khushi raised up her eyebrows at the sight of him while her breath hitched. He looked so handsome and mature in his suit. Arnav smirked at her amused and shocked expression and cleared his throat and said "Good morning Jaan, I was actually going off to office when Di gave me these boxes for the mehendi today so I thought I would drop them off" Khushi smiled and was about to say something when Amma came running towards him and told the workers to take the box and she said "Good morning Arnav beta, would you like to have some coffee?" Arnav smiled and said "No aunty that's fine, I am actually heading off to work now." They talked for a bit and Amma excused herself and went on with the work while Arnav pulled Khushi towards him and she let out a small gasp and tried pulling away. "Let me go Arnav, we are in public! Control!" whispered a struggling Khushi. Arnav smirked evilly and was about to say something when they heard a throat clearing. They both turned around to see Khushi and Payal's cousins looking at them and blushing at Arnav. One of the girls stepped forward and Khushi introduced her as Priya. Priya smiled at Khushi and said "Khu? is this Akash jiju's older brother?" Khushi smiled and nodded. Arnav introduced himself and Arnav and Priya sat down and started a conversation leaving a shocked Khushi. Her mouth formed an 'O' and she walked off upset. Arnav hadn't noticed this because he was too busy discussing things with Priya about his work when he turned around to look for Khushi and noticed she wasn't there. Priya was talking about something when she looked at Arnav and noticed him looking for something "urm Arnavji what are you looking for?" asked Priya, Arnav looked at her and said "actually I am looking for Khushi'" For some reason this bothered Priya but she shoved it away and asked "by the way, how do you know Khushi apart from her being Payal's sister? I mean you two seem pretty close." Arnav grinned and said "Khushi is my fiance and I Love her more than life itself." Priya's jaw dropped open and she got up and excused herself. Arnav was confused but decided to look for Khushi. He gave up when he saw the time so he said his goodbyes to everyone and left for Office.
The Raizada's were ready to go to the Gupta's for the mehendi and they were waiting for Arnav, NK and Mamaji to come down. It was only Akash who was staying back because he was the groom so he asked Arnav and NK to stay back with him but Arnav obviously said no because he was well looking forward to seeing his Khushi to which no one disagreed so they all got ready and left leaving Shyam with Akash. When they reached GH they were warmly welcomed with the rituals and they all took in the great decor. Payal was sitting down with her cousins when Di came and joined her. Arnav was looking everywhere for Khushi but he couldn't find her.
He saw Payal and asked her where Khushi was to which she said that she was up in her room getting ready. Arnav smirked at the thought and sneaked upstairs. He found her room and was going to knock on the door when he heard her call out for Payal to help her with her dori. He grinned mischievously and entered the room and locked it in the process. He looked at her room. The song 'Little things' by one direction was playing in the background. Her room was huge and the walls were white and purple. She was wearing a beautiful red anarkali suit with gold embroidery and short sleeves with her hair left loose and pinned to the side. She went for a smoky eye and red lips. Khushi looked stunning!
He walked towards her and slowly tied her dori. Khushi was struggling to tie her dori while yelling out Payal's name when she felt warm hands on her back. His touch sent shivers down her back and when he was done she quickly turned around and stared at him in shock. Arnav had a wide grin on his face and it was then that Khushi noticed what he was wearing. He looked handsome! (The same one he wore for Khushi's mehendi in the show) Arnav took a step closer to Khushi and put his hand around her waist and said "Somebody looks a little angry today." Khushi grinned sarcastically and said "Angry and me? Oh no Mr Raizada not at all! Why are you talking to me anyway? Go and talk to Priya! You two seemed to hit it off extremely well!" Arnav stifled back a laugh and grinned at her jealousy and said "awww my sweetheart is jealous! How cute! I have to say, it is nice and refreshing to see your jealous side, it shows how much you love me!" Khushi's mouth formed an 'O' and she smacked his chest and pulled away and said "Jealous? And Me? Who ARE you kidding Arnav? I AM NOT JEALOUS!" Arnav nodded jokingly and said "of course not baby! I was only joking!" Khushi huffed and puffed while running around her room arranging things while yelling and muttering things to herself and Arnav while he just watched. He had to admit that what he did in the morning was wrong. He shouldn't have forgotten about Khushi's presence and he couldn't blame her for feeling insecure so he walked up to her and pulled her towards him and kissed away her tears and hugged her while whispering sweet nothings into her ears. She relaxed after he hugged her but she still was hurt and he knew that. He pulled away but still had his arms around her waist. Her head was bent down while her hands were on his chest and she was sobbing uncontrollably. Arnav put his finger under her chin and brought her face up to his and softly pecked her lips and said "Sssh Khushi, I'm sorry jaan, I shouldn't have done that in the morning, please forgive me. You know I only love you right? I'm sorry'" Khushi smiled a little and lightly smacked his chest and hugged him tightly and said "it's okay Laad Governor, I love you too and I think I over reacted but what do you expect me to do when I see MY boyfriend and now FIANCEE having a good conversation with a girl who is not me?!" Arnav felt a tight tug in his chest and brought her face up again and said sternly "always remember Khushi, nobody and I mean nobody will ever take your place in my life do you understand? I LOVE YOU and don't ever feel insecure about yourself. I love you the way you are and I always have the BEST conversations with MY Khushi. Nobody else can ever reach that point." With that he pressed his lips on hers and took her into a passionate kiss which left both of them breathless and need for each other. He pulled away and moved down to her neck and placed butterfly kisses all over and reluctantly pulled away and laughed at Khushi's irritated face. She pulled him back and effectively placed a smooth kiss on his lips to which Arnav smiled against her lips and teased her by placing pecks on her lips. She finally pulled away and Arnav took her hand in his and walked down.
