Was ASR possible without Barun sobti????

Logically, if you look yes anyone can play ASR. In fact, you can choose any actor to play the role, but and this is a big but, would that actor be able to leave a lasting impression on the minds of the viewers that they are unable to accept anyone else in that role? A character becomes memorable on screen only if it has been interpreted and acted well.

Barun Sobti was able to reach into the very essence of Arnav Singh Raizada and he portrayed it brilliantly. Audiences were able to see past the stern, iron clad exterior and see the man behind the mask. ASR is a real man, a man who has deep flaws, a man who loves his family that he will give up his own life for them, a man who is unapologetic about loving his family, a man who accepts when realises his flaw makes amends to it. Even when the character of ASR was mistreating the character of Khushi, people saw past his anger and connected to the vulnerability that propelled ASR to be the way he is to Khushi.

Yes, there are a lot of actors out there in the world and maybe there can be others who can play the character but...

There is only one God Father and that is Marlon Brando;

There is only one Al Capone and that is Al Pacino;

There is only one Don and that is Amitabh Bachan;

There is only one Gabbar Singh and that is Amjad Khan;

There is only one Dream girl and that is Hema Malini;

There is only one Bobby and that is Dimple Kapadia;

There is only one Mogambo and that is Amrish Puri;

There is only one Bhuvan and that is Aamir Khan;

There is only one Ishwar 'Langda' Thyagi and that is Saif Ali Khan;

The list goes on and on...

And finally, there is only one Arnav Singh Raizada and that is Barun Sobti.

I know the post is about ASR but I would like to add, there is only one Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada and that is Sanaya Irani

Last time I checked, the best actor award was awarded to/nominations were for Barun Sobti, not Arnav Singh Raizada.

Arnav Singh Raizada was a great role that Barun Sobti took to an entirely different level that made history.

The two are now one in the same because the actor makes you believe he is that man.

not at all...I have seen many actors playing anger young man role n gradually they become lover boy...but I dint or I can say don't find any spark in them which suddenly click in our mind...that's y I can say asr means barun sobti

The answer is No.

Barun Sobti is only actor who can say What the!!! thousand times with every time in a different voice modulation.
That is exegerating because he did not say what the 1000 times in IPKKND. I just with there were at least a 1000 episodes of IPKKND.
He is the only actor who can give 5 different expressions in just 5 minutes from eyes and face.
He can give more then 5 different expressions in one single minute. Do not believe me watch what he did after Khushi he thought had an accident during Payash marriage.

He is the only actor who can exhibit pain without being verbal.
With his eyes and we have become an expert of knowing he is angry from his body language

And he is the only actor who can go woman faint with just one look.

Am I just a delusional fangirl???? Guess what !!! I am not.

Wrote where I disagreed. And yes you are delusional because I just hope that there were a thousand episodes of IPKKND where I would see him with his what the 1000 times and of course listen to him portraying pain with Kyun Dard hain itna Rabba ves.
