No No a Big No...no one can play Asr other than Barun...

History says yes. Because makers would have got a guy who fits in the bill. Hence I would say yes. It's a collect effort of all not just barun that I am not taking the credit from him, he is not 100% definitely some persontage but not full. Remember the days when whole forum said no chemistry between arhi when LM was not there. So even LM , he creation of the character r important,

of course it was possible, had if they chose another actor to play the role from the very beginning of IPK. You can't comment about other's chemistry before checking that out.

If replacement of BS as ASR at a later stage was possible, would be a tricky question. The answer is between the lines of yes and no. It would take time for viewers to accept a new guy as ASR, but yeah one section of the viewers would have def. stuck to the show which they loved & not demanded a closure if an actor drops out of the show.

Since, we don't have a control of the situation about it now - its way past the time. Its better not to debate about the topic.

I wonder why people take Barun sobti lightly as an actor in this forum. I was mesmerized by his potrayal to such an extent that I had to search the net to find out more of this guy !!! I was one girl who never watched a show before ipk, would quickly switch the hindi channels to reach the eng ones, was put off even if by chance I had to watch because of circumstances (elders in the house). IPK changed me in this aspect. A complete makeover of my mindset. And the one person who bowled me over was ASR played by Barun. I loved his expressions, his mannerisms, his attitude, his voice, his eyes, his english and loved him as an actor more than his looks. I thought ohh my God, I can understand his pain, anger and arrogance so well. He made me search for the show name in the net (I didn't know barun's name at that time) and then I got to know of IPK forum. I had to find out whether it is only me or are there people out there who are also in the same boat. I was taken by surprise when FM put forth the same views as mine. So, I am sane enough !! :)))

so true dear...barun is asr ...no doubt ...without barun there is no ASR...

Barun was apt for ASR...he potrayd it so well that...i cant find any actor in angry young man role perfect apart ...frm barun
