Very long post...though good attempt to write your POV.
According to my POV your post makes no sense t me.Its a reality in your language and to add with yours and many others perception.For me your post sounds more like an upset viewer's remark(someone who is hurt) who did not want him to leave or show to end than a real and practical person's analysis.Again my POV.
We as a human being comprehend one's answers in different way.And you have written the way you have understand.But at some places you have written something which you think.Like the below.
Even barun knows that, in all interviews he has been saying- I don't know whether its Good or bad but I had to stand by it. Using the word BAD is sufficient to state his sceptical tone which tells even he fears.. IF'HIS DECISION HARMS HIM.?
If i have to understand this then i will analyse this as no one knows what will happen in future.And thats what a practical man should say.Confidence is good but not over confidence.According to me by "bad" he does not mean he is scared.He does not fear thats why he has taken this risk.I am into business and i use this statement in my every investment making decision.Its not because i am scared or not confident its because i know the outcome is dependent on many external factors on which I have no control.And which only time decides.
Again you have made many assumptions on discussions between Producers and Actors.And then again you have written your POV that what you think that barun think this but this may not be a realtiy.So you have written your POV as Barun's dialogues.But those are not Barun's thought. Obviously one can't surely says what made Barun take this decision.
And as my input Baat Hamari was not a flop show.Though this show was just for 6 months but it gained much popularity and it was also nominated in an Award.Though I have not followed that show but have read much about that show.And there are many Barun's fan who have followed IPK just because of Baat Hamari.And apart from being ASR, Barun has made himself more popular because of his offscreen nature.Talk to some real Barun fans.You will know the fact.When you talk of SRK you remember Raj of DDLJ but for me its his role from Chak de..because thats the only place i found him best...in short your post is just your POV but you have made it generalise.TBH i have a completely different view from yours and I am sure there are many like me in this.And not a single line of your post sound sense to me.Again no offense.Just my POV.For me movies are far above SRK.I am on those list who hardly watches any SRK movie..for me movies is about acting and content not garden dance.
As you have done your survey even i have some my research about Barun's fandom outside internet.And i must say its far far better than online medium.I can't comment on it now as I am not suppose to but after a month i will do it.
And when you talk about Rajeev i have not seen him in KTH i saw him in hosting a show and i have heard many people appreciating him in Soundtrack movie.And since that movie he has a different fan following.And for me Rajeev is Rajeev not Sujal and I am quite ready to see him doing any different role.
For me every good thing has a start and an end and it should not be dragged because with time it loose its essence.And same happened with IPK and ASR's role.I am glad it has end because once you start overusing thing it loose its charm.Though i still feel the show deserved an end long back but its never late.
Its very easy to sit back and comment what one thought before doing so and so and what he/she discussed with his/her employers but i prefer not to comment on anything which i do not know.So whatever you wrote about his personal problems is again what you think not actually what happened.I know that Barun's last 2 shows got abrupt end and so that person has all right to be cautious and mention your tenure for next show.And what looks sensible to you looks impractical to me.I may be popular but i am not the only popular actor to dictate my terms.I guess the basic problem lies here is that its we who thinks Barun is a star but for Barun he has just started its career and this popularity is just a good time in his journey.
And when we some people think that IPK is only a super hit show(like you said 1 IPK =10 BW films) then there are some who give a damn about IPK and some who hated this show and some who do not know this show even exist.There are many around me like this.
Where you can see Barun's this decision will have negative impact on his career, i from my life experience can say it will have a good impact.And i did not find all of TV industry calling this decision wrong.There are many like Rajan Singh who appreciates this decision. Personally i appreciates his decision.and not only his i appreciate Akshay's and deepali's decision too.
Infact all of these things made Barun more popular and he being a quality actor any producer would like to cash on this popularity.At the end who do not want popularity.And when popularity comes with so much of fan following any one would like to use it,
Your post being in IPK forum may have many who agree on this but outside IPK world it has no meaning.And being Barun's admirer I will not ask him to leave BW or leave TV.I feel he should take different roles.And in near future I do not want him to work with Sanaya just to cash on their popularity.Thats a easy thing to do.Step out of comfort zone,try new different roles and then prove that yes you are an actor.For me his journey has just started...long way to go.He fail or succeed but he will be richer by experience so when a time comes when he has to take a stable and mature career he can decide well.Yes,i like him but not blindly that i will make decision of his life or suggest him or demand anything
I hope i have not offended you.I respect your opinion and i feel its not necessary we all to think alike.Its just my POV and some input based on my surrounding response.
