Might be abrupt, it must not have been taken out of the blue or else the show's ending doing rumors wouldn't be doing rounds since past 2 months!

You think SP/PH wouldn't have thought on this angle? that the phangurls caused it? Funny. NO international channel and something as HUGE as star plus could have shut it overnight without thinking about it at least for sometime.

I am no Sobti phangurl, but atleast I and few others have enough in them to stand up for something we feel, unlike few people who are simply targeting the protestors, because they no longer have anything to target.

It was NOT about Barun's leave. It was about ending the story of Arnav and Khushi on a happy note but continuing the show...by taking a generation leap or something.

For me, and for many others, it was an entertaining show with a lot of promises. We wanted to see the story the PH wanted to show us rather than the one the fans wanted, because then everyone's fan fiction would be a TV serial.

However for you, and maybe a few others, it was more than just an entertainment show. You probably took it a lot more seriously, and therefore petitioned for it, etc.

However as a result of your seriousness and attachment (even though we were attached too), we had to suffer as the demands of your petitions were met.

So it wasn't a matter of why we didn't raise a voice, because even if it was going absolutely crap, I'd still not make a petition, rather I'd switch the channel as most viewers should do if Sobti was leaving. Mostly because, to me this was my way of de-stressing after a hard day's work, this was my way of dreaming the romance existed.

Now that's been taken away.

Are you for serious?
YOU didn't raise your voice because you didn't believe in doing something so, 'lame' as entertainment. And you say you aren't THAT attached to the show.

So, what's wrong right NOW? Why blaming others who took a stand for something they believed in? Upset your source of entertainment has been taken away? Switch the channel. You were not much bothered anyway! Must not be much of a difficulty.

And you think those 1700 something people triggered all this? We believed in petition but we also knew how much it can succeed. Petitions and demands are not simply met because some 2000 fans had asked for it...it is met IF and only IF the channel or producer deem it FIT to be met.

And you think ALL those 1700 something people used to call SP ? Really? Wow.
It were only some 200 approximately who used to call them up. VERY few people.

Had the channel or the PH NOT been prepared for a shutdown, they would have given in and given us the demands like -"ending the story of Arnav and Khushi on a happy note...but continue the show with a generation gap or something".

Hah. You think our demands were met from that petition? LOL.

Firstly, my original post on this thread clearly points out whether the 1700 or how many ever fans caused the show to shut down, or played a catalyst in it.

Secondly, as for me not standing up and demanding everything to fall my way is probably because I wanted to see what the creatives had to show me.
Thirdly, Rima and everyone else sent petitions on behalf of all the fans - however she did not take into consideration the statements of all the fans. There were people who opposed the demands. If she'd done that, then the story would have been entirely different.

And since she is the spokesperson for all the fans of this forum, by me referring to Rima, I assume i am talking to all teh fans. Unless Rima wants to tell me that she is not the spokesperson of all the fans - which would mean that the petitions made were not on behalf of all the fans, but rather due to her own demands - which changes the situation and story entirely.

My main question to you-

Why didn't you comment on Rima's thread back then? Why didn't you and those people who were against it sent her PMs if you all were SO against the show ending? You expected us to stalk your Doris, chat threads to see if you wanted an ending or not?
You wanted to see the show? So why didn't you take the step?

You were never that bothered, so why now? You can easily anyway switch the channel even now. Won't cause you any problem.

There were people opposing on the petitions.
There were people who made threads opposing the end of IPKKND and try to make people see reason that IPKKND does not end with Barun.

Sanaya even came out with an interview to explain the same.

Did YOU comment back then?
And as far as I know, later (by later here I mean just the morning after the petition had been sent) she cleared that the show must go on.
You read that?
When people were SO offended, why didn't they PM her? She's the spokesperson of fans...she should have been told that this is not what they wanted.
How many were there? 5? 6? 8? Any number, but they could have told her vehemently if they were SO against it.

Sanaya came out with an interview to clear Gul Khan's name. Nothing else. About those 200 people comment? Well its the responsibility of the channel and PH. Not us. Not the viewers to take upon social service when the channel/PH is there to take care of them. We as viewers had signed up for something. We fought.

You had signed up for something else, you could have fought too. But you didn't.

Ok first of all, let me say I dont belong to any CC on this forum.

And secondly, I have been on this forum from day 1 when many people didnt even know who Barun or Sanaya was. Check the first page of the forum to see my post, so Im not a newbie here.

I used to post and comment regularly on this forum but then became a silent member when pretty much all the posts were just drooling and demanding more Rabba Ve's. If there were any interesting posts I participated and put forward my viewpoint.

And now I see Rima, that you are the spokesperson of this forum! First of all, I dont know if it was self appointed or your friends did but I am a member of this forum and I did not ask you or anyone to be my spokesperson for this show.

And the answer to your question, is fighting for the show wrong? No, it isn't.

But it is just hypocritical how these last few weeks the forum has been full of demands with the show ending with ArShi, not forgetting the phone calls and petitions and now you all want SP to change their mind and retain the show!

And dont tell me that I should have made a petition to save my show! Why should I? The show was under no threat till all the crazy demands started. I only know about these demands cos Im on IF. But what about people like my aunt and mum who enjoy the show and are absolutely bewildered that the show is going off air! Should they make petitions to save the show too!

And Rima Im not bashing you because I dont even know you. And when I say you, I include all the people who have liked your petitions and posts. But as a result of all these demands SP has pulled the plug on the show. And if you dont agree with me then perhaps you should read some of the topics posted by others on this forum, who say they have sources ,who confirm this.

I have lost a show that I enjoyed watching because of these incessant demands and petitions and I'm unhappy about it.

Maybe one day, you and all the other fans who participated in all of this will be on the other side of the fence and you will see how it feels to have a show close when all you wanted to do was watch and enjoy it.

I just answered the question she asked which technically seeming, is the purpose of this post. Her topic - Fighting for the show was wrong. Really? And what I've mentioned above is MY answer to that question. which part of it looks like imposing to you, pray?

See above in BOLD Blue - There you are imposing your standards by suggesting starting a petition on a "publicly" aired television program is somehow "unethical" (a baseless argument I've never heard before!!!) People have every right to voice their opinion or start a petition! There is nothing remotely unethical about it by any standards (except by your strange personal standards!!!) There is no private property or any sort of manipulation on private property. Rima commented on a publicly aired show as a consumer (she did not steal Gul Khan's Intellectual property! ) She just voiced her opinion about a publicly aired television show!

If a publicly aired television show is a property that cannot be talked about - why air it in the first place???? How did she manipulate it?? By talking about it and started a petition? Are you kidding me?

The show got shut down because of the incompetent PH and their inability to manage the show!

rima, those who feel strongly about anything will put up a fight to win it...now for those who are against us - nobody stopped them from protesting to not end the show.

So NO it was not wrong to request for a sane ending to a beautiful love story.
