Could not agree more...Very sad with the turn of events...definitely not hopping for this outcome of the show that too shutting with two days notice...I somewhat made my mind to accept new actor...now come these news... I am blaming everyone involve in this fiasco...

Thank you for making this post DKS... I loved this show, really deeply and it pains to see something which had so much potential and such brilliance to end like this all because one person decided for his own self interest to turn his back on the people who made him what he is...and what does he have left now...

He will go down in the history of television as the man who got an epic TV show killed way before its time...I wish him all the best for his lmovie career because I don't think anything is left of his Tv career... he has now officially taken on the TV giant and generated such immense negative publicity through his unprofessionalism that he has with this one step also committed career suicide.

hope PH never makes this kind of mistakes again... lead in the show needed to stick till the end of the project if not for the PH /SP but for the viewers ..no TV / PH will sign him till he reaches the age of 50+

What do you have to say about the professionalism of the PH that leaked the news of his leaving when he was given a gag order on making any comments.
What about the professionalism of the PH who openly stated the story has run its course?
If Barun really intended to quit for movies and leave for good he gave his required notice. Why then were the 2 months of his time used towards crap fest and character assassination?
Why did Star Plus chose to include this unprofessional actor and make him the star of their SPL event?
Please answer the following and then lets take the discussion further...

I just feel damn bad for Sanaya, a thorough professional persona like her should not have to be paired with such an unprofessional , non committal , insensible so called actor! Hope Sanaya soon will be on a new show with a much coordinated PH and a much more better PROFESSIONAL costar..

Bhaiiya is no saint here..He did quit the show officially on 23rd November. He was no way going on the break. He quitted the show and still he said he is taking a break. He lied...He lied...He lied...( for XYZ reasons I don't give a damn...He lied and didn't come out clear in the media is what all matters in the end.)

Fans are the worst affectd...the ph and Barun don't deserve this adulation for the behaviour they have exhibited ,.although the show did deserve so much love going by today's episode..

I have to admit I was and am sceptical about Barun beng totally innocent...I don't think he was forced...I think thePH and he came t a mutual decision which the channel accepted and hid for SPL..

It's so obvious..they have alreay shown the prom for the show replacingipk and the promos have been on air for sometime! This is no sudden decision..

And in the end yes tracks we're non standard..yes atrocious even..but Baruns decision and decision to hide tha decision precipitated the end like this...

Wish he could have shown some more commitment to this shw and given it some more time..and hats off to Sanaya at the same time for being there till the end!

Of course the show wouldn't have been the same without him so fans protested...but wish things cud ave been different,!

i am not privy to any inside information and can only talk about what is happening in front of us...

i truly believe that Gul khan and Barun Sobti interview was not a genuine one...a more of doctored clearing Gul's name out of this mess...

but Barun Sobti's other interviews are not helping me either...he has made it quite clear that he wanted a leave of some 10-15 days to spend with family and recoup...he has said time and again that he is tired and wanted to leave way back in February...will be all still say that he was bound by contract to utter these sentences...the time when we phangirls were going crazy for him he had actually got bored of playing Arnav Singh Raizada and decided to move on...

i remembered the byte he send us from the sets of MAMR...when the fandom were dying to get a single confirmation from him about IPK ,he commented that anyone can play ASR...we were disheartened but as usual brushed it off saying he is a humble guy in need of PR.

till date we all are supporting him ...quite confidently believing all the inside informations and spoilers doing rounds if this forum and instead of judging the crime we have already decided the criminals...it was, it is and it will be always Gul Khan. she anyways carries the blames of killing her previous babies too. what puzzles me is closure of IPK because of mismanagement and killing of script defies any level of Business Sense. Gul cant afford to do this unless she is on suicidal mode or at present being governed by the big fat ego.

if i were at her place and if ASR was my brainchild then i would have thrown away BS long back. and replaced him and boasted of creating another ASR. she didnt do that, kept on pleading, and negotiating Barun sobti for this role then what happened now? suddenly why this business harakiri?

hence i come to this conclusion that it might been initiated by Barun only...and now the scene is absolutely out of control. me being his earnest pankha cant really overlook these facts.

he is somewhere at least a little bit responsible for this untimely death of the epic soap called IPK.

am still laughing and crying(yeah both at same time) at the fact that Sobti never acknowledged his fans, neither did he showed any respect for this tv industry, never collected any awards.

on this forum we have dictated future tracks, better screenplays. all suiting mighty Sobti. whenever he faltered in his dedication, expressed absolute disinterest in acting sparing some RV moments, sported the most unkempt look the fans overlooked them as HH...humble and honest.

at the of the whole drama, SP has taken the decision ...which i feel came from this frenzy of some ppl calling up SP office and sending mails. but somewhere its an injustice to Sanaya and other cast and crew for which i hold HH Sobti responsible.

I am happy that the show is ending and at the same time feeling sorry for the people who worked day and night for the show and still got no recognition from the viewers and now those people are about to loose their job because a certain actor decided to spend some QUALITY TIME with his wife and family and also discover new heights with the help of his newly acquired fame. They are going to suffer because they are associated with such a PH who are not able to control their own actors and also are not able to find suitable replacement for them.

I always said the character is much much bigger than the actor who is playing it. I am not saying Sobti was not good. In fact he did a very good job as ASR but there's no way denying the fact that its the same PH who groomed him, trained him to be ASR and now that he has reached his goal he wants to quit and PH is neither able to stop him, or find a replacement for the great ASR.

I never watched any other show of Barun Sobti and after I was told by some of my friends at IF to try his previous show at Sony, I did try but we'll let's just say he was Good, but no way near as good as ASR.

Now I saw some videos of the UK event this morning and understood what an icon this ASR is and it's the character which made Sobti what he is today. Now some are saying that Sobti is thrown out but I somehow can't digest that. I mean it is the same PH who granted him 45 days of leave SO THAT he can use his newly gained fame and fulfill his dreams of entering Bollywood.

As much as I am angry at Gul and team for hiring such an actor to play ASR who told beforehand that he is going to stay for a year only, I am also angry at her for not being able to find another actor to replace Sobti when he intended to leave the show last Feb. if she had made ASR out of Barun Sobti, she could have at least tried to find another actor to replace him instead of closing the show altogether.

Sobti lied to us BIG TIME. No matter what's the reason but he lied about Taking A break where his intentions were to leave the show for good.

Channel lied to us because of SPL.

We all knew the ASLI NEWS will come up after the SPL is done but we never expected the show to be ended in a week? That's shocking.

Channel got what they wanted, PH might have also got the same because they openly declared that the story has run its course. Sobti is at the peak of his fame. I saw people madness around him in the SPL(through videos posted) and like it or not its because of the character he played.

Only losers are us viewers who made them win and fool us big time. It's their story but we were emotionally attached to the show. We spent hours discussing about the show, voting for actor, keeping them at the top of every forum .

It's the loss of the crew members who made Barun into ASR, who made IPK what it is today by working day and night inspite of getting no exposure and nominal amt of money as their daily wages. These people are the biggest sufferer .

I have no grudge against Sobti and PH and channel but the whole thing could have been handled in a better way without snatching hundreds of people's livelihood from them in an abrupt way.
