A very logical post Priya👏. I was a viewer who used to take this serial at face value till I got hooked on to this forum. Since then I have realized every single scene can be decoded in many ways. With some experience in doing the same, I can also very confidently say that this entire fiasco was written long ago. I remember you had said in one of your posts way back in Sep, that the whole fiasco will be designed in such a way that the blame of the show ending will be on Sobti's shoulders. Thats exactly what is happening!!! Wow, did they actually think their audience is so naive?

I feel the initial news getting leaked out was intentional because of some personal differences otherwise no producer would share such confidential details to any random reporter. The PH and the channel have taken their audience for a ride. When Sobti himself had stated that it was merely a break (he didnt say he was quitting even on his supposedly last day of shooting), then what was the need for the channel to come out and state that he was quitting? Don't lead actors go on leave? I know a lead of another leading serial is also on a 10 day vacation but is there any hoo haa about it? No, because that PH knows how to handle the dates and schedules of their actors. So here the issue is not about his break because like you said if the serial is ending in a month's time, Barun can still go on leave. His break isn't crucial at this point in time. Also, Mishti had long back stated that the PH had decided to close shop if Sobti moves out which means they had decided to end this serial long ago. But can a PH decide to just close shop without the channel being aware? I always thought its either the sole decision of the channel or its a mutual decision. I have never come across a situation where the PH does all this drama just to pull its serial off air. I may sound rude but what body of work can the PH boast of? I had not even heard of them till I started watching this serial. They have two blockbuster serials but unfortunately they couldn't run both the shows beyond a year because of either the channel or actor issues...how sad!! Look at the other producers who are basking in glory because their serials have hit the 1000 episode milestone and here the producers cant even enjoy the 500 episode milestone!

You are right about the tracks. There was so much to explore and yet everything was so rushed up and I will not buy the excuse of Sobti leaving. Mamaji has been missing for several months and not a word about him (except the KC episode), Babuji has been sitting on that wheelchair since god knows when'poor guy didn't sign the show to sit on the wheelchair, Arnav overnight forgave the woman who was responsible for his mother's death (we gave many reasons but something that was torturing him for years was forgotten in less than 5 mins and we bought even that excuse), Shyaam was kicked out without a single proof against him (the videos had his bracelet but his face wasn't seen)...what made Anjali believe the proofs this time? Again, we accepted everything that was shown. No matter how bizarre it was, we sat and analyzed and tried to justify the tracks. If they had handled the tracks well then we would not have seen this miserable end.

For the channel it has always been their SPL event. A day before their event, they come out with articles stating that IPK is going off air? Seriously??? Do they want fans to welcome them with chappals in UK? 😡 These are all tactics to fool the online audience because the average TRP viewer is still clueless about this drama. My mom (who is never on the net) didnt know about Barun's movie. She read his interview the other day in the paper and told me that Barun is doing a movie!! When I told her when he shot for the movie she realized why they had the kidnapping track😆. Anyway, most of the TRP viewers have already moved on to other serials. I am the only one watching it in my family. When I told my folks Sobti will also be leaving, they rejoiced in the hope that I would be out of my addiction😭

I feel so bad for Barun who has got stuck in this mess. I hope he takes a break and comes back soon. Cant wait for this phoenix to rise and show the world who the King is. Something tells me we fans will have it our way...the fight may be tough but its not impossible. So yes, its not over till its over because our dude has changed the rule 😉
