i agree, perhaps we are yet to see the best out of VPP. i wouldn't mind seeing him as Anjali's love interest if Barun is in fact coming back to the serial after a 'longish break'. if that's the case, i would tolerate an anjali/viraf storyline until BS is back. i'd like to see the generation leap scenario too, but want proper closure for the arhi story before that, which it seems like we are not going to get.

Barun's acting has definitely improved over the years but there has a lot of people out there who find him to be bland with his expressions and these are not fans of others shows like Geet either, they are unbiased people like us.

From what I have seen, I know VPP can play a romantic hero, a boy next door, and the suave and serious businessman really well on top of that he has many more things going for him like being well groomed, well spoken and having a sexy voice (something Barun lacks since he sounds like a boy). Ipk is Barun's best work for sure.

Like I said in an above post. I think it will be very inappropriate if Barun leaves and decides to return in a couple of months. That is just not right and I don't think the channel wants to do that. I feel Barun simply said he is taking a break because he is just confused and is just bad a PR. He is very unclear and it seems that he said all that to keep ipk as a back-up option. Which you just can't do, it's like he is taking his fans and the show for granted. I think either he stays and takes a break for a week or he leaves and never comes back (which I think is his plan disguised as a break).

@ jerry - that's why i'm a bit inclined to believe BS when he says 'i don't know'. it seems like all involved are clueless! how can they not know, and that too for months. and they are coming up with random, stupid tracks in the meantime. here's to hoping we start getting a well knit story again after this whole mess is over, but it seems that it is far from over. my projection is that BS will leave, TRPs will tank, and show will end in the next three months. what a tragic ending for a show that just a year ago was the best of the best of indian television.

Tia - thank-you my fellow Canadian! I am from the east! The fans seem to find a conspiracy behind everything but in the end, Barun will always be right, Barun will always be the victim, Barun is infallible etc. etc. etc. brains are working in overdrive, no one wants the simple reason even if it's from the actors own mouth and in all this even Sanaya is a culprit who does not care about the fans while Barun the poor soul is being forced to leave at gun point against his own will.

Jerry - I am a student with a never ending education grrr... I am from Canada. What about you? I am fine with the interrogations.

@Tia when I first read that "phone convo" my first thought was along the same lines as yours...that he probably needed to take a bunch of breaks from the show for whatever reasons, and seeing how his last break and kidnapping track screwed up the story pretty bad, he figured better to leave than put the show in the position repeatedly.
