@bold - this is the big bad business miscalculation with the international audience. We don't need someone's okay to say buh-bye. The audience has never ever been understood by SP nor 4 Lions. Did they really think the audience for this show about a MAN is the same as for SNS? If so, they need to fire their entire market research department and 4 Lions needs to do a little more in depth trolling on who is posting what in this forum instead of just hunting out what people are saying about them.

We are fed the same calibre shows that are intended for a generic Indian market and I done mean to sound pompous regarding my tastes. Eg SSN maybe very popular in India but I am to sure about other markets. IPK connected with a niche crowd and neither the SP or the PH understood the expectations or the brain power it attracted. So many people left the show after the first wedding and many further after the second.

The latest fiasco and Baruns ouster will turn away the remaining . If SP o an other channel has to attract the international market hey will have to up heir game and pay a lot o attention. That Sub Chalta hai attitude has to b done away with...same size fits all will not work...I am no marketing expert and eveni get it why not the people who are paid for this...

Anyways in the short run I amonly hoping to get Barun back and some dignity to the show once loved.

It is not only about international markets. I have a ton of friends in India who don't watch the usual soaps but rush home from work/the gym/ college to make it in time for IPK. Most of them aren't even on IF so they watch the show like a normal TRP audience but connect big time with Barun and Sanaya as Arnav n Khushi and have literally lived the show with them. So IPK has made a niche for itself among the youth in the Indian market as well.
It is really sad that they are letting politics and games ruin what could have been a great show. Like Ratna said IPK has lost half its audience due to the poor story line; it is going to lose the other half about Barun leaves and I'm sure most will swear off SP for a while.

Exactly many have already given up on IPK because of the weak storylines, now the rest will follow because their main reasons for watching are no longer there. This is what SP and PH fail to realize.

What they did not anticipate was the level of rebellion among the viewers and the IQ of the viewers.

One more point, in the long run, its not gonna affect BS --- industry is waiting to lap him up -- rather 4Lions are a fairly new producer and a very small fish in the pond...
