Yes, the channel is the final authority in the scheme of things. I hope all the efforts done will drive towards something tangible and positive solution.
Nevertheless, as I pondered over the things which have happened past few weeks, I could not but step out of the shoes of IPKND die-hard fan and put my grey matter to use as a third party ...
Here are few points , harsh they may be but can't be ignored.
1.
For SP, IPKND was never the top serial. If you see past few weeks' trps , we used to be very happy if it could make it to top 5 overall or top 3 in SP. True, it gave them international recognition but so did BV it seems for colours. Difficult to digest ? but yes, sometimes the regressive topics hidden under a progressive solution disguise strikes a deep chord with the audience. Now when there were rumours that the story is almost over and if the PH could think only the point of
"then they got married and lived happily ever after ..." . The PH don't have story writers to take the story of Arhi, --Post Marriage . Post marriage love stories are different and our PH has not yet graduated to that dept, it looks like.
Should they really continue IPKND ? That too without BS ? In such dire circumstances if they continue it will take away all the glory that IPKND once was.
If you are already treading on Sunset Boulevard , your destination is in sight , don't try to go ahead as the night darkens, you will only stumble and fall ...

IPKND has been close to heart to us and it has found its way to make us mersmerized because all of us belong to that class of creatures who at sometime or other had loved and lived on M&B books. Just as I had oberved when I used to read MBs , few of my friends and class mates could never understand the rationale behind it and they continued with Stephen Kings, Robin Cooks and Ayn Rands and PG Wodehouses ..., whereas we used to enjoy these books and also MBs. So the point is , IPKND can never become so much popular with masses like some other serials have become. IPKND has more of a cult following. So SP may think this entire execise as diehard fans hysteria rather than mass hysteria.
3. What if BS wants to leave the serial for some entirely different reason ? What if he wants to getinto some other line altogehter?
For me the essence of IPKND has been Arhi story. If they disturb Arhi equation (pyar or nafrat .. but it has to be between Arhi), the story is over, Since now that we have got used to see SI and BS only as Arhi, ii is better that SP ends it on a happy note...
