@ bold, yes, to Barun, to his future... adding the lassi, hot jilebis, and pakoras to the list.

On a serious note, was just going through the discussions, and it saddens me to think, with ipk we tend to look back at the episodes before the remarriage to appreciate it, to appreciate arshi even, and to hold on to the images we fell in love with. what has been done with story since then is sacrilege. sheetal track - most disappointing and shocking, nothing came out of it other than an aarav, absolutely unnecessary at this point in time, (IMO). a kushi, less said the better. to me, it ruined arshi, their magic. feel its a losing battle... there is only so much one can try. after all, it is not barun's story. either he goes along with anything or not. glad he chose the 'or not'.

oh i so agree about the whole child angle at this point.

and if as you say and many of us believe, barun objected and chose not to go along with this ruining of characters among other things. good for him.

remarriage. one of my first posts on the main forum was about that. it was so unnecessary and practically wrong in my view, given that i believed in the validity of the tempole wedding. it wouldn't have taken much to show that it was a legal thing, and then have a special ceremony, private, tender and ipk to make their commitment to each other in happier circumstances, but without belittling the wedding, because in a funny sort of way that wedding too was about love. this commitment ceremony would have included, stars, mother's kangans, letter, just family, and a poolside love scene among other things. see, at crooner we'd almost written it out 😆.

instead, contract was thrown away without any denouement. we had dadi and that whole un-ipk stuff.

though 21 september and khushi's submission before marriage was lovely. and some moments from haldi, mehendi, and others, even the other day, the "such much chubta hai?" but these are just little moments, the whole has been happily wrecked. the complete throwing away of the back stories, whether it's past or shyam, just didn't understand,. and that killing of anjali's baby? felt like rosemary's baby, the level of horror.

oh well, what to say.

we had a most beautiful thing and its memories remain preserved (also on yt and dailymotion 😃).

lassi, jalebi, pakoda to it all.

Nice post Indi.I always read you guys like You , Zoha, Riti , Farha, Anjali, Shy, Priya and many more because I can see and feel some sense of belonging to you.I am in the same age group with kids and does not feel shy to share my feelings and experience during this journey of watching IPK.This is my first ever Indian soap serial and living abroad having a full time job, full time mom at home and still keeping up with all of this and that ,you guys kept me on my toes. I just want to thank you all before I leave this forum until the last drop of my hope will drop.No Barun means No IPK for me. Same as Sanaya. If she is not there NO IPK either. Its both of them who made this magical chemistry and divine love story a legend for all of us.Again thnx.

hi ammysobti,

thank you so much and very nice to meet you here. you know, i read your post and just sat there quiet for a while, thing about things.

from across distance and time we all meet here, find people we connect to, share the most intimate details of our feelings for a show, spend hours or whatever time our full schedules permit and go away feeling happier, in touch with people who understand, somehow life more enriched. look at the wonder of it.

when people ask me what do i get out of it, is this midlife crisis, i wish i could tell them how much is in this liking and loving ipk, barun sobti, and more.

thanks again, at 52 i am much older than most of the writers you mention, but yes, they are all great to read and hang with.

take care, there is no ipk without barun and sanaya. hopefully, that's the decision channel comes to today.

Thnx for responding back to me.Yes I am 44 and I don't know you can call it midlife crisis but for me IPK is getting away from worries and all the pain around me.Those moments give me back my life and strength to cope with it.Khushi and Arnav are so close to my heart and I want to cherish these memories for my life.I am a silent reader from the beginning and did make some posts here and there but reading all of you after the hectic day in my bed before sleeping is my life and I have no idea how am I going to live without it.Time is a healer but time is a killer too.Thnx for being there for people like us.

aww ammysobti, 🤗

nah, this ain't no crisis. this is pure joy. and it allows us to feel complete and happy amid a very busy and demanding life, as you point out. these two are very close to my heart, sometimes i feel it should be mandatory for young people to watch this show as this is really love. with all its depth and magic, where the emotion is enough in itself. and it transforms us from within, makes us see things differently, makes us more complete.
let's hope life is granted to such a marvelous story of love.

Di... you are making me cry... Very emotional today!
What can I write about ASR - the one hell of a Complicated man I have loved onscreen... and that which Barun Sobti made his own with his lopsided grin and raised eyebrows.
I am just glad I was here at this time and place Di... because I could see this show and be a part of this phenomenon.
Because ASR is just that...A phenomenon. Beyond the script, beyond the music, beyond the screen... he seeped into my heart. And He did this through a vehicle called Barun Sobti.
No wonder ASR is a brilliantly written character... but it's execution is through the actor that is Barun Sobti.
And That's Barun Sobti did as ASR... He made me fall in love again!

khushi,

thanks and that was a phataphati post addressed to your namesake.

really, not only gul, even we cannot separate asr and khushi. when we speak of one, the other is automatically in the picture. as are a few other elements of ipk. it's the perfect mix and as they play dice with it, the whole thing is falling apart.

i have no idea what the decision was tis evening. i just hope it is not a case of vipareet budhhi.

so many of us fell in love with barun and sanaya, surely we couldn't have all been wrong?
