Good article! How I wish this so called break does not ruin Barun's career! Getting in the wrong side of SP is a mistake!

He should have stayed with the show till it ended! Especially if it was meant to end in feb 2013! I hope this mess can be sorted!

This is getting uglier by the minute!

TOI has never been positive about Barun. The article may be true to an extent but I can't like it.

I think its a shame that Barun is anti social-media and doesnt seem to be aware of his fan base or the extent of its strngth. But I truly hope he is smart enough to stay up to date and informed about whats going on since it is essential when making Life changing decisions. Barun comes across as somewhat disconnected from the reality of this phoenomenon of ASR that he has created. He seem to think that anyone cud play ASR 😕 I truly hope he reads and gets a perspective of the current situation and what he is potentially risking - and if its at all up to him, he needs to make a change of plans asap and stick with IPK till the end.

This is a great article that gives a heck of a lot of insight.

Barun has everything a telly actor could ever ask for. He gained it overnight playing ASR. If its his decision to quit, it sure is a huge risk and a very poor one. Specially since he will be falling out with the No 1 channel and ruining his reputation in this industry.

His Bollywood venture is far from proving itself. In Bollywood, among the big Kahunas (The evergreen Khans, Akshay etc) and other layers of actors waiting in line, Barun will not have an easy time breaking in.

He should NOT walk out when the show is just 2 months short of ending anyway. He is the No 1 Telly actor right now. In Bollywood he will be nameless At least it will take time and a miracle.

On the other hand, if SP/PH is behind all this - we need to keep up the fight and chances are we will at least get an Arshi ending. It is hard to imagine why they would create this upheaval if the show was ending in Feb.

Clearly both parties would have known the rage it would create among fans. Or did they ??

Wow what a well written article. I actually tend to agree with the article completely.

These days in bollywood the big guys are making it near to impossible for new actors to come into the business and be successful. When you have the Khans, Bachans, Kapoor family in the business who in all honesty has been in this industry for generations it's hard for someone new to come in and get that kind of attention and stardome.

Sometimes i don't get why TV actors thinks what they do is not good enough and they think it's all about movies. TV actors are just as talented and versatile. Infact they are in a whole different category of greatness. Being the number one actor in the TV industry is also a huge accompishment...
