has the author tried to see the other side of the coin..

why would these actors quit the show, well let's take a reality check for them.

---> TV has become totally exhausting business, its not just entertainment anymore...the work goes on 24*7 as if there is so much rush to churn out episodes after episodes...seriously had this happened in Doordarshan era ? i never saw actors leaving those shows...becoz at the end of the day actors are not MACHINES.

----> doing the same thing again and again makes it nonsensical. let's get the reality check..almost every daily drama becomes the same after a certain time becoz u don't get enough time to figure out creative inputs...u just have to write rubbish screenplays so that the audience can get hooked and the actors have nothing to do different. there is no character development, just the foolish tracks and weird situations the characters find themselves in.

----> Barun is justified for being 'exhausted' as its a daily drama taking a toll on everybody...i am 100 percent sure if it would have been a biweekly he had given a chance...becoz in that case...the time and good screenplay would have been available. being a daily drama can please millions of fans but it kills quality and tests actor's patience. kudos to the western shows who still haven't got down for ranking points. this was bound to happen with anybody.

-----> production house is not held to be responsible. today's its all channel's game. in july i attended an event in delhi where ex zee execu. subodh lal said that today there is no creative freedom for the creatives and the producers...they are just served NOTICES by channels to keep the TRP's hooked or their show will not last long. infact...the channel commands the show these days rather than the production house...which wasn't the case earlier.

so i am supporting BARUN..i love him very much and i too won't like him to leave...but this is not a surprise to me...these channels takes work like machines and an actor is not a machine.

Perfect Article!!!! For all the craziness surrounding IPKKND.

I don't know who is at fault but at the end of the day if anyone is going to loose anything it is the actor. Like it or not they have a very short shelf life except for the few and the reason they survive is because they conform.

It's a give and take industry and as much as the show is loved it will be forgotten more sooner than later.

As they say "Life Goes On"

Major points in the article echoes my thoughts, but everyone's destiny is different, so there is still a 10% chance of his success.

Very well written.

The way Barun is going he is pretty much burning the bridge for returning to tv. Constantly complaining about long hours, saying he gets bored easilly, doing the same thing again and again makes him brain dead, any tv producer will now think twice before hiring him. I hope he makes it in BW, otherwise it may be difficult for him. Moreover, there won't be any ipk waiting for him. Maybe then, he will appreciate the role of ASR and understand what he had given up.

Good article... But its a lesson for PH and SP, not Barun, because he's not at fault. PH and SP should realize that once Barun is gone, IPKKND will be a flop. I feel so sorry for the rest of the cast.
