Yes, I concur. The beginning of the end was Feb. It was around this time, too, that the PH was embarking on their new show. Hmmm... sounds suspicious? We won't talk about Kushi. The decimation of her character is embarrassing to me as a viewer. And there have been myriad of posts regarding Kushi. Besides, this is about Barun, so I'll just concentrate on him. After Feb. it was pretty obvious to anyone watching this show that it was going nowhere fast. But then this was the agenda of the PH. And it is not rocket science to realize what utter gibberish they have made the character of ASR out to be as of recent. Lover boy Arnie, did not sit very well with anyone. We all preferred the passionate ASR of Kushi!

We don't know the reasons for Barun quitting. One rumor is that it was Gul's hare-brained idea to have Arnav walk off into the sunset with Sheetal, and Barun refused as it went against the grain of ASR's character. So, queen Gul asked him to take a hike. And then lie about it to the Media. And fans. (And that's why Barun broke down.) We don't know what happened. But we do know that Barun is leaving. So our love and support is what he needs. And that is what we need to give him. Whole heartedly!

I was just giving example of Khushi, lover boy Arnie also did not set well for me too. Just imagine if the viewers felt like that about the character, how Barun must be feeling that the character that has attracted him in the 1st place is being side lined and ridiculed.

I think Barun is not cut out for the grind of serials, but having signed up, fans believe him to be theirs for the taking. His leaving is seen as a sign of betrayal, especially by the really young girls out there.

I hate to see Arnav Khushi jodi break, but I think its better than missing in action and BDs all the time. I think another Arnav would be a mistake, but another actor could bring in a refreshing change. Then maybe Barun could have a chance to leave his mark somewhere else and see whether he really wanted to or needed to come back to IPKKND if its still on air.

But don't blame people for their feelings, everyone has a right. You may find it appalling, but many find it appalling that he would leave a show that made him popular, globally, and move on. They've invested their time (a year and a half) in his work, supported him, made him famous and now boom he's dropping them. Its like a bad break-up.

Try and understand how others feel too.

I love ASR and Khushi a lot more than BS or SI...

and so if my dream couple is ruined, I am done with the channel, the PH and Mr. Sobti forever.

Everyone has his/her opinion. And we should be able to have a mature discussion about this. Its very sad to see people go on about ending the show just coz Barun quits. Honestly i feel by saying this we are putting down the rest of his co-stars who slogged and contributed just as much to the success of IPK.

Ofcourse no one wants to see Kushi with anyone else...but bringing in a new character can potentially give a different dimension/element to the show. And as LoLo said, later, if IPK is still on air, maybe barun might come back.
