No actor would give up a role for which hundreds of other would give a hand or a leg ! He would not do it unless circumstances force him to do so ! Its unfair for anybody to be forced to work in a place he doesn feel at ease or when the actor himself feels he rather be some place else ! We really dont know and might not know even in the future ! As far as barun ditching his fans , he is not gonna quit acting , he is just going to be another character elsewhere. Used to be an excellent show is right! Until the CVs and PH messed it up, no-one can deny that! To say that it is due to the drama created by one actor is untrue. The show has been fraught with problems since the PH decided to shut it down - in Feb!! But of course, the fandom would not allow it, so they dragged it on, and so they dragged it on the show too, as we all know. It is pretty obvious that the IPKKND of yesteryear is not the same as the one today. And the state of the show has got nothing to do with the evolution of the story (which is non-existent anyway) or the characters (that have been completely compromised) or now, even the mantra of love/hate!! And this has got nothing to do with "one actor's drama!"

I think Barun is not cut out for the grind of serials, but having signed up, fans believe him to be theirs for the taking. His leaving is seen as a sign of betrayal, especially by the really young girls out there.

I disagree with you that Barun is "not cut out for the grind of serials." He did fine up to now. There was never a problem...

It is highly unrealistic and inappropriate to expect Barun to not follow his dreams and ambitions just because his fans feel betrayed!!

I hate to see Arnav Khushi jodi break, but I think its better than missing in action and BDs all the time. I think another Arnav would be a mistake, but another actor could bring in a refreshing change. Then maybe Barun could have a chance to leave his mark somewhere else and see whether he really wanted to or needed to come back to IPKKND if its still on air.

Arnav/Kushi jodi has weaved it's magic all over the world and transcended language and cultural barriers. And you're right, I hate to see it break, too.

What the PH have planned (or not) or what Barun has planned (or not) I couldn't say. It would be entirely up to Barun to do as he wishes with his life!

But don't blame people for their feelings, everyone has a right.

Including Barun.

You may find it appalling, but many find it appalling that he would leave a show that made him popular, globally, and move on. They've invested their time (a year and a half) in his work, supported him, made him famous and now boom he's dropping them.

Barun has invested his time, too. He has worked hard, too. He made ASR come alive for his fans. To base Barun's success solely on his fans is a bit naive. Barun never mentioned "dropping" anyone. I'm sure anyone who wants to, will be able to see him in the many, many, many other works he will surely do.

Its like a bad break-up.

Try and understand how others feel too.

I really do empathize with the fans. In the same vein, the fans should understand how Barun might feel. Especially, because we do not really know the whole story. Barun is not stupid to leave a show that made him immensely popular worldwide. So something must have transpired at this particular point in time, to have made him give up this extremely lucrative job for him.

But whatever the case may be, we need to give Barun our love and support. Unconditionally!
