See, no one is saying that Arnav can't be polite to a guest. But he saw that Khushi is feeling uncomfortable. I understand that he does not see what Khushi suspects (although I don't understand how he can't since the entire RM is so hell bent on pointing out the similarities). So he may believe she is old-fashioned but then he always knew that when she reacted strongly during his live-in with La. But since Sheetal is nobody to him and his wife obviously means the world, why offer her a job and not keep her away from his life? I mean she drops in with this huge drama of not feeding her child breakfast who just fainted the day before. What kind of mother does that?
You know Rima, once I told my husband that one of his ex makes me feel uncomfortable with her snide remarks about me being Indian and how he likes golden brown skin tone (he is white and Canadian). He listened to me, understood my point, even though he thought that the girl said it as a joke he stopped planning any outing together with that girl. His point was, she means nothing to me and you mean everything. So if you are uncomfortable, I don't need to hang out with her group and that was it. Ours is no legendary devi-maiyya approved romance. But what we have got is mutual respect and understanding. I'd like to know where is that between Arnav and Khushi.
Hell, they take each other granted within a week of their marriage, how will their romance last? Where is the attempt to plan a romantic date? Or even a small walk or even a honeymoon trip? Khushi is busy pandering to her in-laws, ASR is busy in his business. They completely forgot that they are newly wedded couple. Where is the ASR who pulled Khushi behind the pillar in the middle of Janmashtami celebration?
