Hi Fari

When I started to watch the show at its start , this was my first desi show. I would simply watch the show at 8.00 pm everyday and be excited about the next day. I came upon the forum and loved being there.

Spoilers etc were new to me and even SBB and SbS etc at times ruined the fun but once they were posted you could not resist.

I remember the TerI Meri sequence was first on SBB and during the weekend we had thousand threads on should they lip synch, the length of the sequence etc etc...it was fun.

But lately it has simply become a battleground. And the reason according tome is that at least for me, is my distrust of the cvs. They start a good track and then screw it up so badly that we have lost that faith. Eg Arnav's birthday started well but the fizzled outnext day. The Shyam thing went on forever ad now actors are leaving and then the big one was Baruns fiasco so there is not sense so stability with this show.

I don't think others shows go thru such ups and down...

I am looking for consistency and quality only then will our minds be at rest and no upcoming spoilers will be required.

each one has their own expectations from the show. You can suggest some ideas for the show to improve but demanding a storyline to run according to your wish is simply outrageous. As you rightly pointed out, it is definitely like pming a writer and threatening them to change the story to their wish.

This time, I really wish the CVs don't give an arse to these ridiculous demands. The track has not yet started properly and people in the forum are making all sorts of assumptions.

you know, I was thinking a few days ago. If the Lavanya track was playing right now, these same people would have started a petition against her too and the serial would have reached no where. I'll tell you what's happening. People in the forum realised that CVs listen to views of people and took unfair advantage of it. They have found a way to hold the CVs at gunpoint and are now exploiting that means.

I have no problems in admitting that I still love IPK just like last year. The only thing that has changed is this forum, which is making me sick and forcing me to log off whenever I step in here.

It's like a gang of possessive horny teenagers/ housewives out there who only want romance, love, sex full time between Arnav and Khushi. Sorry for my outburst, but that's what I feel when I look at the posts of some of those forum members.

Exactly!!! I was against it when it first happened, however now that things are getting out of control and petitions are popping up for every single thing, I think the audience is taking an unfair advantage of the fact that the first petition was listened by the CVs.

I agree with you, I absolutely hate telling writers how to write their story because it's their creativity, their ideas, their characters. I am an audience and I watch what they produce. If I don't like it, i either stop watching, or make a thread here or on my blog discussing the issue.
Suggestions were what we used to see before, with members coming up with maybe predicted plots, or what they would like to see, what they are hating, why they are not liking what they are seeing, etc.

*sigh* I am with you on the logging out thing. I come in, get angry over the state of the forum, and usually, nowadays, I just log out as quickly as possible.

I've got a love-hate relationship with spoilers, since a very small percentage of them are not bad, but the frequency with which we see them here, in general, is too much. A clue here or there is fine, to keep the interest, the way you flip ahead in a book. But, we've become over-indulged with all the information so readily available to us that those boundaries between the audience and the production side are constantly blurred.

Most of the spoilers we get do ruin the suspense and plot. I was actually looking forward to this Sheetal-Aarav storyline playing out, but coming on the forum actually ruined it for me, which is why it's necessary to not spend so much time here. 😕 It was fine when nothing was certain, but just random theories running; that actually made the forum entertaining to be on.

It's funny you mention the Diwali kiss not being spoiled for us. That's usually what I think of when I try to remember the pre-spoiler era and how great it was to be surprised like that. Although, for the fairy lights scene and Teri Meri, we did get SBS/B segments, but those are more of the rare examples of positive spoilers. Let's not forget hut focking and the fiasco that created...

Much needed post!!! 👏 You are right in every aspect..👍🏼

Everyone these days are trying to play the role of CVs..
People want to modify the story line as per their liking (keeping in mind everyone has different likings 😆)..
People want only ARHI 😳..
People want ARHI to romance intensely 😉...
People want ASR and Khushi to behave in a way they like 🤔...
People want to see that typical ghisa-pita villain Shyamu 😡, they are not ready to give a chance to his lady-version 😕...
People want to know the storyline ahead, so keep on begging for spoilers 👎🏼..
People are restless, even before a track has properly started, without seeing the direction, they want to modify it 😆..
People hardly want to see other's story/romance 😲..
People want no one other side roles to leave their character as well 😊..
And oopss, people want the show to go on...

In bottom line, people don't know what they want ..
If you see the posts from last few weeks, looks like people only want ARHI's romance.. But show can't stretch longer, if there is no other story than ARHI.. and it may turn out to be very boring..

I feel BAD for CVs that they are so bound these days.. even can't show what they want.. If you see the past, CVs did a wonderful job without any interruption.. lately I felt, few scenes very random, looks like just to answer some of our question..

There was hue and cry yesterday, but it turned out that it was for nothing.

Post MU the show did become a mess and we can also feel that the cvs are trying their level best to come up with options. Some thing did go wrong, but if we know they are trying their best, shouldn't we at least give them a chance to do what they want to do?

Fari the show is not off air isnt that a chance enough ??
its the trps audience to give a chance not the IF members who contribute absolutely zero 😆

The reason for this craze for spoilers may have emerged from the fact that Arshi story has now turned into a sort of reality show in the lives of fans rather than a soap.
Initially we were just fine with how the story was going because we just embarking on a journey and hadn't connected with them yet.
But now they are a couple who are together after facing trials and tribulations. And we have been there with them every step of this fantastic journey.
It is a psychological phenomenon where we have become so close to these fictional characters that we are going through the emotions of what we would feel for real life characters.
We cry, laugh, hurt, smile, fear etc. for them. We have become possessive. We worry about what they wear and about their rights. Don't know whether this is healthy or not but it is what it is.
Ideally, a reality check is what is needed to calm down, relax and realize that this is someone else's story.
But is it something we are willing to do is the question.

Personally speaking, and I think I have made this very clear in other threads, I am strongly against dictating writers how to write their work.

As a writer, I like taking suggestions, I like reading inputs from people of what they are liking and what they are not - but if tomorrow demands were being thrown my way just because something negative was being shown in my story, I'd get a bit annoyed.

Now coming to the show, these people are the CVs. They know the storyline, they get it approved from the channels, it's a long process. Even the scrapping of a track is not something that's done overnight. They need to come with an alternative, get that approved, and get the track scrapped.

The CVs are not going to show something that's going to shut down the show - they are essentially gonna show something that's going to keep the story alive. They know what they are doing, they know what they are writing about, and whom they are writing for - by dictating them what to do, is not the right thing to do in my opinion.

Now I wonder, that if the spoilers had not been released, there would be threads speculating over what would happen, how it would progress etc, rather than making petitions and demanding, and arguments erupting.

I think a few spoilers here and there keep the suspense and energy in the audience alive. Like releasing a spoiler picture, and letting the audience speculate, or just a hint that will make the audience get excited for the track. However "spoilers" such as Barun leaving, or Arnav having a kid is going to bring about unrest - so what's the sense and use of those kind if spoilers? That's like driving the audience away before they have a chance to see it being executed properly on-screen.

You are right, everyone wants different things from a track, and as a result not everyone can be satisfied at once. The CVs are aware of that, and that's why soaps are often jumping between different genres to cater for everyone, and to keep the "spark" alive.

I think everyone needs to just trust the CVs and watch their story unfold. If someone does not like it - that's fine, make a post criticising what you don't like, however demanding for changes by sending those demands to all kinds of people is not something I can see eye-to-eye with.

Very well put. Thanks for your comment.
