Does Khushi really undersatnd ASR? Yesterday's birthday tantrum left a bitter taste..
I expected Khushi to atleast wish ASR Happy Birthday and was even hoping that she was planning a private birthday celebration for him.. But CV's proved me wrong.
If I may say, she came across as extremely petty and dare I say manipulative. She made sure that all the family members are game with her plan and not wish him. Why would she do that, if she didn't want to wish him, fine.. why ask others not to do it.. why would she made sure that he had most boring breakfast or lunch.. why would she ask cake to be returned, it was sent by one of his clients..it looked like well thought plan rather than plain ignoring his birthday.
And what was the point in getting a suit for him when she was not even willing to wish him.
how come she did not understand that he wanted to spend some time with her and he expected atleast a birthday wish contrary to what he may have said to her. I mean all the telepathy or understanding that they shared has gone for a toss...
If she can overule ASR and bring back shyaam who tried to kill her and her husband, how come she not overule him and plan a small private birthday for him..
And I totally didn't get the dialogue yesterday that I changed so much for you..The more I see its ASR who changed for her..people say she does not need to change as there is nothing for her to change.
I disagree, for a change why can't she agree to go for a english movie or derby for change, why is it she gets her way initially and then try to make up later.. she is being potrayed more OTT, silly and bratty after marriage.
I don't why CV's can't develop her character properly, they keep changing her behavior according to story.. One day she is very mature and next OTT silly antics..For God's she is the female lead not comic character who brings comic relief after heavy drama..why there is no monolgue of what she thinks..why her pain is never depicted properly? whenever there was a need to show her pain, its always CV's resort to some silly antics and in the end made look as if she is ok and does not care.
It is very difficult to sympathize with the character when she resorts to these silly antics to hide her pain
CV's should stop depicting her as mahaan and start showing some maturity and character growth.
I will be frank..I was afraid to write on this since I know I will be in for bashing. But I am writing what I felt about the character and for last few days I could not relate to her
I hope people just don't start bashing. your viewpoints are welcome
Note:
Thank you guys for all the responses.. the point I was making is specific to her behavior in last few days and specifically yesterday.. I am not taking about what and how she went thru the a horrid time.. after the remarriage i thought the slate is clean and both will start understanding each other even more now.. but khushi's character regressed a lot after remarriage with OTT comedy and insensitivity displayed by her yesterday..
And there is no denying that she went thru hell with hate marriage, but that part was also messed up by CV's.. Instead of showing her pain and hurt, she was made to do silly OTT antics.. My point if the character itself is is not shown to be hurt/pained and instead resorting to some silly antics and acted as if nothing happened and she does not care, how can the audience empathize with her.. we all relate to a character on how it is portrayed..
When ASR told her she was the bigggest mistake in his life, I felt so bad for her, wanted her to leave him and RM zoo.. Instead she accepted it was all her fault, i was so riled up with her attitude. khushi's character was never consistent, one day she was hurt, next she would behave as if nothing happened..Show the pain, hurt or anger DAMN IT. if they don't show, how is the audience supposed to relate to her and sympatahize with her..
Even with ASR character, I hated him for what he did, but it was alway shown that he regretted what he did and he was in pain too for putting her thru all this..so I could still connect with his character..If he was still shown doing the same manhandling and anger towards her, then there is no character growth and character cannot be related anymore

Even I could not understand why she said "I have changed" so much for you. We have only seen Arnav changing.. not Khushi

This part bugs me too. Technically it's Nannav who has changed with leaps and bounds but Khushi is still the same childish Khushi. I don't see any change in her

What the CVs 🤣

Exactly...i too was thinking the same...
Let me be clear i dont want Khushi to change but why should she expect ASR to change...?
Arnav loves her for what she is then why cant Khushi do the same...?
Yes she has suffered a lot but this doesnt change the fact that Arnav has practically turned into a new person for het...

well you see, the mere fact that she changed herself and started loving the man who was horrid to her from the day he met her and then forcefully married her is enough don't you think?
She forgave him without cribbing about the 6 month contract and all that...so you see where she was coming from? I felt she was implying how she adjusted herself to his conditions in earlier marriage etc.
When you look at it from that aspect, ASR's small small changes can't even be compared to what Khushi had undergone. Afterall which woman would have stayed with the man who physically, emotionally abused her, insulted her etc?
Now Khushi had been needy from the beginning. Remeber her own birthday and how she threw tantrums when Arnav didn't plan the birthday according to her wishes? It's the way she has always been. She expects certain things from people and when they are not fullfilled she gets crabby.
besides I felt that she indeed was teaching him a life's lesson by halting birthday preparations when she knew quite well he was secretly looking forward to them. It's her way of ensuring that Arnav did not throw one of his silly fits the same time next year. He got the message and learnt the lesson. It was quite a clever way of making him see sense. So I dont see anything wrong in what Khushi did.

Agreed she went thru hell.. but now can we expect CV's to depict as a mature women and not show as childish, silly or bratty
