Nisha...you nailed it girl, what more can I say...except I hope someone from the team sees this fantastic post and comprehends it.

I will only try to add on by giving an example of the vast difference I've personally noticed in the show...in terms of the impact certain scenes have left in the past, as opposed to now.

Arnav's apology:

This came upon finding out Khushi's parents were dead. It was captured beautifully. The right emotions were extracted from ASR. The tears in his eyes looked so real and the apology was so genuine. We immediately forgave him because it connected with us. I think a good director like LM is needed to keep Barun in character to be honest, because ASR is a complex character.

Fast forward to months later (LM long gone) and Arnav's apology to Khushi in her bedroom. I was relieved that he finally admitted his mistakes. Then I read Maverick's great post on this subject and it made me think...is that the right reaction after such a monumental scene in IPK history...relief? This is something that had been building up for months...yet it fell flat. It should have left more of a lasting impact than that. I didn't connect with Arnav the way I did earlier when he apologized to her.

As for Khushi, he did a great job handling her scenes. She had the best scenes in the first 6 months. After that, her character has been inconsistent and hard to relate to. He knew what flashback to use or what facial expression she should have to portray a certain scene, that would best reach the audience. I still love her but no longer connect with her the way I did back then.

I won't say much about the romantic scenes as it is a touchy subject here. All I'll say is that I prefer quality over quantity. We may be getting a lot of romantic scenes now but if they are not well-executed by the director and sometimes the actors, what's the point? I'd rather go back to the first 6 months when we had less romantic scenes but they would be memorable (Nainital trip for instance).

I've seen less interesting plots and less talented actors look good on other shows...because of the director bringing out the best in them. A good director has a lot to do with the overall quality of a show, which has been lacking on our show big time. The aesthetic look, the right emotions being portrayed, the polished product...everything feels incomplete or missing. That definitely affects the TRPs. I don't want to sound redundant but I really wish he would come back and bring the magic back with him...he needs to be our savior haha.

P.S. I have nothing against Arshad Khan. I just miss the old IPK which LM was associated with.

when you really want to see something and when it happened u never connect to it..
it doesnt make sense..
"all the time i waited for this??"
ipk is now a sinking ship..
only the right captain that is LM ..can save it now,,

The diwali scenes where ASR walks his fingers on Khushi's foot...that touch is enthralling and magical...Lalit Sir tussi great ho...please come back... No offense to Arshad Khan...but there are geniuses and there are directors...and there are amateurs!

yes... i can talk about him for hours..
he creates magic... his magic is what made us fall in love with the show and now..
we still follow it only due to the love towards the characters he created..
ASR.. and kushi..
and most important character their love
which is given screen space in every track..
we can feel its presence when its around immediately..
thats his mark..

better than one!!! Its as simple as that.

When Lm and Arshad both were there , the magic was there!!!
Who kn ows what happened behind the scenes!!
Who knows Lm's follies were corrected by whom!!!
I know he is a perfectionist but after all he is a human being!!!

To sum up , I just wanna say that the duo together created the
MAGIC!!!

Remember an old saying" ekta me shakti hai"

agreed its not that we want LM..
we want the old ipk..
can u believe we r using the word"old ipk"..
as if it is a different series..
as if this part 2..
which is sequel but not the original..
all we want is the magic and we can get only by lm..
in your words LM and arshaad..
but Arshaad is there so all we need is LM .. right?
