That's true...but people take it too far when they say his character is being butchered, there are always various other factors at play, and the delivery isn't always going to be perfect as a result. But generally speaking, I've had very little to complain about with regards to his character portrayal. I'm talking about people who can't accept any of the changes made to his character post Payash wedding/flirt mode *rolls eyes* lol

No I agree, I'm not saying there weren't any slip ups this episode, coz there were!! Him mimicking Khushi was more Barun, and came across more like a random insert than a clearly thought out scenario!! It wasn't in line with his character...but I'm talking about other gestures which have been in line with his character!
E.g the temple smile - I LOVED IT!!! What a way to show that his happiness lies with Khushi's smile! And yet, it was also a rather playful moment between the two, catching each other out, beautifully nailed by both Sobti and Irani. 😊
