After seeing the latest spoiler pics I was pissed off 😡 and ending up making the following fun post to calm myself down😉:

https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/iss-pyaar-ko-kya-naam-doon/3163016/moral-of-the-ipk-story

The following post started as a response to a fantastic post made by tia.o-The Three Goddess of Double Standard of RM. You can find it here :

https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/post/63680504

This is a half baked attempt by me to try and feel good about IPK again.
I think I will play the Devil's Advocate here because I like seeing the other person's point of view IRL and the inherent need to find logic in things around me.

Edit1:
I realised that thinking about the negative point of these women , was giving me a headache! So I am going to take inspiration from Anjali, and just plain refuse to see the truth. I will watch only the Arshi scenes. 🤣 See, there is something good to learn from Anjali after all

Edit 2:
I have decided to take 1 quality from each of the women mentioned and mix them up against them.

1) Anjali: Refuse to see the truth (or any Anjali scenes!)
2) Dadi: Refuse to ask questions and just make judgement. (she can do whatever she wants)
3) Mami: Refuse to accept outsiders (in my case anyone apart from Arshi! )

(I'm aware that Logic and Indian dramas don't go hand in hand, but, like my friend GodHelpUs, even I can't stop trying! It is a default reaction)

WARNING: Wall of text!

1) Dadi: People keep asking, why the hell did she return after 14 years of self-imposed Vanvas-(due to guilt maybe), when she refused to even meet Arnav during the interim (She doesn't want to face her grandchildren, because she realises her decisions cost her son and DIL their life, leaving the children orphans?)

We all know the answer is Shyaam. We all know that he is good at manipulating words. He is one of those idiots who is in the right profession with the right set of skills, but refuses to use them! If he actually focused, what a lawyer he would have made! But, that is another matter altogether.

So, back to Dadi. Why did she return? Isn't it because she loves her grandchildren? Isn't it because she fears that history will repeat itself? She might lose her grandchildren just the way she lost her son. Because of "some woman". She was aware of Anjali's marriage. She hasn't heard anything of Arnav's. Is it that strange that she wouldn't think it is suspicious? That suddenly after marriage, this "girl" has effectively destroyed her granddaughter's marriage. She doesn't know the complete truth, I agree. But in her shoes, who would you believe? The husband whom you have been informed and formally introduced too, who came looking for her, because he just wants her help to be with his wife and daughter? Or an unknown entity? Is it that surprising that she will draw similarities between what happened to her son, that drove her into seclusion and what is happening with her grandson. In her mind, she thinks, that the happiness of both her granddaughter and grandson is threatened and she is determined not to let history repeat itself!

I, for one have some hopes from this character, because she seems a bit like ASR. I want to see if they show her getting suspicious of Shyaam eventually. She doesn't seem like a lady who won't use her head.

2) Anjali: She is everything I love and hate in women. Boundless love and understanding. She is not sexist or a snob. She always sees the good in people. But these qualities are her negative points as well. She is so focused on the Light that she doesn't see the dark. But then again, has anyone let her ? She has been molly coddled since she was young. Probably by her parents, then by Arnav and rest of the Raizadas, fearing that she is too much like her mother. Later even by the Gupta's. She sees the world in such a positive light, that they all want to help maintain her illusion and be a part of it, if possible. She seems to me like the TV version of Shri Shri Ravishankar 😆. She inspires loyalty and protectiveness in people around her because of her inherent goodness.

Getting back to the main point, this is probably the first time in her life, that she is being pulled in 2 directions: Arnav and Shyaam. Ideally, she wants things to go back to the way were- too good to be true. She is not fit to handle this situation. She is trying to go both ways, but is failing. That is basically what they are portraying now. Situations have always been handled for her. Now, for the first time in her life, she is forced to take charge of her life. Making some mistakes, should be allowed right? As, one only learns from their mistakes.

One thing for sure, her trust on Shyaam will be the last one to crumble.

3) Mami: Say what you may, I can never hate this woman! 😆 I am naturally attracted towards strong, in-your-face characters. I would rather have an honest character like her around me than someone who bitches behind my back but is swet to me on my face. She is so comfortable in her skin and is not ashamed of it. I just love that in her.

Anyway, people have blamed her for being her a classist when she herself comes from a not-so-well to do background! Well, the way I see it, she was probably a fortune hunter herself. This doesn't mean she doesn't love her husband. But because she was one, she is suspicious about anyone who approaches her 3 children. Yes 3- Akash, Arnav and Anjali. Throughout the serial, I have never once seen her treat them differently. They are all her children and she will do all she can to protect their happiness. This is another reason, I can never hate her! ❤️ And the way she reacted during Arnav's kidnapping, I just fell in love with her. 😳 She went looking for him like a lioness hell bent on protecting her cub. She whipped up all her jewellery without a second thought to prepare for ransom, proving that, even though being rich is important to her, it is not more important than her children and she would give it all up, if it means saving them! 👍🏼

Yes, she is harsh and insensitive towards anyone from outside the family. But she asks questions that need to be asked at the time they need to said. I love her direct approach towards things. She is a true mother. She loves her kids, but knows that sometimes she has to be harsh to them, for their own good. She is another smart cookie. I am eagerly waiting to see how she deals with the Shyaam situation. Also, her sense of humour is out of the world!

With this, I rest my case!
Dunno about you, but I felt better after writing this down! I hope you feel the same. 😊

Sanika. very well written and brilliant post👏
specially Loved how u tried to be Positive about each character😃
Marks - 101/100😉

Generally I don't think deep about any character and tries to be positive to enjoy the magic called IPKKND😃

Now its my turn to reveal what is hidden on my side of coin😉

😈Dadi😈
So many similarities btw DADI n Arnav. both r like the type of "Ek bar dimakh pe chhap gaya to chhap gaya" n they never listen to others. so I m pretty sure Arnav heritated all genes from his paternal side😳
I feel she is Intelligent n i too expect from her to use her brain very soon to find out - Shyamu is a evil n then use her own techniques to make things right.
After ASR I think I love DADI😉

🤢Anjali🤢
Ages ago I used to adore her and had some sympathy for her.
Nowaday I really i hate this women. I can't accept the women who is blind in Love with evil hubby n who tries to run away from spoken truth and reality.

Anjali is a person who want to see the world in her way, don't want to accept the cruelties of the world. she always want to live in dreamland where her creep hubby is her prince charming n yet to be born child Rajkumari.🥱

The thing I hate most is she is cheating her bro who Love her more than anyone and go to any extent to make her happy

⭐️Mami⭐️
The only intresting and intelligent woman in RM is Mami, she has got the brains and beauty 😆
I really love her style of living she seems to be kinda old age character but brings charm into this storyline😃

To save her family she can go to any level of investigation and make sure they are okay. Mamaji is definately lucky to have such wife but dont understand why did he disappear in the first place, may be bcoz of "Hello Hi bye bye"😆

Anjali should learn from her character and come out of her dreamland which is actually a evil one 😳

Sanu nice post very well written..

I agree with most of it and will write only what I see differently. Dadi just appears to be a confident woman when in reality she is just dominating. If u for a minute keep aside the body language and look at actions u will see that when the ride was riddled with bumps, jerks and nasty surprises dadi got off the boat. She left two kids Arnav and anjali and left to deal with her sorrows she did not once realize she was elder she had responsibilities to shoulder. So according to me she came back as setting anjali's life back together she sees it as her own redemption for deserting these kids wen in need. Additionally she is someone who jumps to conclusions without seeing facts provided someone can convince her to their POV.

and I hate her cos she is classist and she is mean to khushi(remember me khushichya maherchi 🤢)

Anjali: A character I loved once but now I cannot stand..I am just copy pasting what I wrote on Rima's post.

Anjali is an extremely insecure individual and someone who looks at others for the solutions to her life problems. She has never in her life tried to do something for her own self not necessarily career but we have never even see her have her own hobbies other than sitting and doing difft pooja's. The extent of her faith crosses the line and turns into dependence more than faith. She lives on the logic (rather illogic) that as long as god is kept happy nthg bad will happen. Her second biggest pillar is her chote he has always been the one to support her and make things alright...even at a young age wen they were thrown on to the streets its he who worked hard and gave her the kind of luxurious life she was familiar with.

Basically she does take responsibility to make her life right its either her chotte or her hubby who shud do it for her..

Mami well i agree I wud rather have a in my face person than a meethi churi...but she lacks basic manners of how to treat people respectfully so I cannot like her

Well said B. I was desperately trying to see something good in these 3 women. Hence the post! I know I was clutching at straws, but thinking about their bad points is giving me maansik traas 😆

Good points and very well-presented. As I mentioned, I did not make a hate post. I just pointed out what I felt was the double standard these characters were portraying...

Dadi is like ASR. But ASR did show double standard, which is now evident in Dadi. She has absolutely no concern or trust in her grandson.

Mami loves Arnav and Anjali, but she does show double standard as well.

Anjali is showing double standard left and right when she expects her brother's every move yet lying to her family at the same time.

I did not say, I hate these characters. I'm just saying that they are showing double standards.

I know your post was a fun post with a satirical flavour! I really enjoyed it. This is a half baked attempt by me to try and feel good about IPK again.I really hate hating anything! So I want to try to be neutral about it in the least :)

i m amazed you actually found something positive to say...😲

Interesting take but i for one can't take Mami's PS & KBT dialogue anymore... she get on my nerves and what i don't understand why the hell Arnav and Akash won't shut her up.😡

well for me Anajli's character is ruined by Cv's and Daljeet's super flop acting... rather then feeling her pain or sympathy i feel like slapping her and hating her...

Swati Chitanis is doing a good job so far... and though she has been manipulated by Snake I won't don't think i would like her... yesterday she said the only thing matter to her is Arnav & Anjali's happiness... but the way she acts i only see her care for Anajali's happiness... but i guess will wait for some more time to form a opinion about her😳
