CVs should be criticized when it is due.

Criticizing the CVs when it is due in an honest, respectable manner, could be scathing, could not be scathing but is essential to voice our opinions just for the sake of IPKKND. Because we do not want the story to be killed with an untimely death. The story has great potential to do good, but the CVs make it worse by meandering in messy directions complicating the story too much with hackneyed, cliched, predictable attempts to stretch and drag it. Why don't they say the story and move on? Bring a new plot, bring new characters, take the story to the next level.
