Exactly! They aren't doing a perfect justifiable portrayal of a woman in denial. And that is exactly what I meant when I said that's the reason most people then start to view them as negative, selfish or stupid people. I am not blaming the viewers for this perception at all. In fact it's actually the writers' fault for not being able to do their job for the character they created, properly.

However I am still willing to give her that benefit of doubt, and believe that she is definitely someone who is in denial, preferring to live in her own fantasy world where everything is perfect.

And my posts were only to reflect on the other side of the situation - or in other words, look at it from Anjali's POV.

It shouldnt be about predictability. Some instances in real life are always predictable. Its biz world, TRPs matters. It would have done wonders with TRPs and we would have been back in top 5.
Let me tell you In the above scenario Arnav's character wont be out of his character traits as CVs believed if he says sorry its out of ASR character. When he can breakdown for his sister, and believving that Khushi cheated him, why not after realizing his mistake. Infact it would have taken his character to greater heights.😊

She literally believes that she can mend the family back together. Going behind Chote's back was to meet Shyam and ease out her insecurities.

Going behind Chote's back because she knew that what she was doing was wrong. And she didn't want to create more problems than necessary.

Maybe, Shyam has cleared the air for her. And so she takes his word on things. Remember when Mami accused Shyam of cheating, she refused to believe it. It was almost as though she was physically pushing that thought away.

When Khushi accused Shyam, she looked at Shyam to clear the confusion.

So after all the fiasco, she runs after Shyam again. However this time, without Arnav as she knows that he won't like it.

She thinks that as time goes by, the wounds will heal and Arnav will forgive Shyam - maybe that's the coping mechanism she took when her parents passed away? She thinks that she will be the saviour and protect her family from shattering. What she doesn't realise is that she is driving the family apart with her antics.

I am probably reading wayyy too much into this, however I am just trying to analyse her actions and hopefully get some insight into her thinking. Not justifying her actions at all - rather I am getting them out in the open for debate :)
