Anjali did say in a past episode to Nani. She doesn't know whose right. Arnav is her brother, Shyam her husband- shes confused. Anjali is just trying to save her marriage at any cost...she's willing to forget everything about Khushi-Shyam too- ANJALI is TOO brainwashed by Shyam and Shyam is a NEED in her life. She can't distinguish right from wrong atm and thats what we are seeing.
THIS is a natural progression to her character. I would have been like WHAT THEEE if they had shown her go strong after the whole Shyam fiasco, cause Anjali HAS always been weak. LOOK at what her weakness is making her too- lie to her brother, lie to her family...This is gonna make Anjalis character stronger one day by making her SEE the truth behind the mask Shyam has!
First of all - I am teenager! Secondly, even if I am weak or disabled - which I am not, I won't have a blind faith on such a man who never stayed at home (in the past) and who got caught in my brother's bedroom searching for something. In addition, he even told Anjali that he wants her property as a joke - she took it lightly and Arnav was kidnapped. Yes, she was worried when he returned but it was pure over-reaction. Didn't she even think once that why NK said anything against Shyam or even Mami? Mami is quite close to her - so didn't she ever think about the fact why these people have suddenly turned against her Inke? If I was in her place - I wouldn't have stayed in my brother's house days together and wouldn't have ate all his money.
Her character is being butchered when she is staying in her bro's house and taking advantage of him. She is bringing her husband behind Arnav's back - if she likes Shyam so much, she should think about his self respect and go live with him even if he is poor.
It's simple - she cannot see Arnav happy.
