I agree with you completely...they started the redemption track in yesterday's episode and finished it within few mins..!!! What the..!!! I really dont understand what the cv's are trying to do..that explains the reason behind the low trp rates for the past 2 weeks..and how many ppl do they think are following our show daily among trp audience..(not us ) probably most of the audience wont even realise or know that the magic called redemption happened in ipkknd in few mintues..!

Since I am out of my phangirling and drooling over Sobti mode after a major reality check with my very pissed off husband, I realized what Maverick, Ramvij have mentioned in their posts is totally correct.

Last night's apology was lukewarm and forced.

It felt like CV's were trying to appease us by throwing popsickles at us.

That Gazebo apology was way better than this one.

Sobti requires Grooming , Executives don't look scuffy and shabby.

They had two trump cards, epic moments of this show people were waiting for, since a year

a. ASRs ILU confession

b. ASR's apology for all the torture he inflicted on Khushi

The second ILU was much better than the first one. Whereas the first one should have been like a vintage IPK scene. ASRs regret and apology were too short to make an impact. It was as if they decided at the last moment to pacify those who were demanding a repentance.

And we said "Chalo atleast kuch toh dikhaya".

Now even if they show a full blown regret as GUL promised I doubt if it will have the impact.

There is no pleasing some people!

On popular demand, you are now getting the remarriage and the redemption inclusive of an apology.

Not everything is always going to fit our expectations exactly the way we want it.

If this fact of life is so hard to live with, then why don't you join the creative team and write scripts that hit the mark? 😉

Well, Maverick, let's just ask one thing: Did you expect it to hit the mark?

I, for one, did not.

Firstly, because I knew that this isn't some I-beg-thy-forgiveness track. It was a I-beg-thy-TRPs track. Oh yes, it was very much evident contrary to what you all thought you might spoon-feed the hungry audience.

Secondly- Come on! The intensity has long since been on a Baali trip. In fact, the intensity was all used up by that mutual "I hate you" dialogue by the poolside, or perhaps those super powers of the blue waters absorbed up the intensity. Whatever the case, I see no point in comparing the present scenes to the past ones, which would only be an insult to scenes such as the empowering rain one, the oh-so-touching Teej one or as you mention, the beautiful, heartfelt Gazebo one.

Thirdly (and oh you Phangirls, you can say "This is Sparta!" to me for this), along with the flimsy direction and sloppy screenplay, stands a failed characterization by Mr Sobti. I am forced to say, and forced because during those Diwali and Engagement tracks, I swear my drool glands used to work pretty hard, that Barun shows a I-just-got-bankrupted business tycoon, rather than a Doncha-mess-with me one. Do I need to mention the most awaited moment in the history of IPK, the "hair cut"? Boy, does he look greasy! No wonder Sanaya nowadays makes me wonder if I'm straight, the way that girl can pull of that goddamned wig and those hideous clips.

I dont have a problem with them showing a long scene b/n ASR n Anji baby but that scene too was not upto the mark.. At least it didnt click for me.. But Khushi forgiving easily-- many had problem with her forgiving so easily.. But I can completely understand that.. She loves him-- its easy to forgive som1 u r in love with.. N they always showed her as a character who never holds a grudge.. But I think since she is in love its easy for her to forget n forgive whatever he has done to her.. But a more intense guilt scene from Arnav's side is required..

Yep it looked more like "pacify those cribbing idiots" than an attempt to improve the character.

I agree with Khushi forgiving. We fundamentally believe that if someone asks for "forgiveness" only petty people will hold a grudge. Thankfully the morons have not made her a "petty person" and so she forgave him.

Now for the ASR character -- we need him to be made "worthy". This whole track of getting her back has been hap-hazard. They didnt complete a single train of thought. They both looked like people with completely disjointed thought processes.
