I disagree about the cookery show (😆) being dragging. They had it planned for months and they are executing it welll without digressing from the stroyline. The audience knows what to expect and that makes them happy at the same time excited to watch the dynamics of the show. I thing that show is one of the best exectuted shows that is consistent with the story line. Our show used to be like that. But not any more.

Prime time is not 8pm. They get most viewership at 9pm, which is why those TRPs are higher. Seriously, sometimes this forum's like a broken record. As soon as the TRPs plummet or remain the same - "the show's being taken off air!"

That's why I still say a nice redemption track would have worked wonders, keeping the character traits intact but an apologizing arnav is always a treat to watch and is a progressive story line.

Barun would have pulled it off spectacularly. Sigh.

The time for that is long gone. It would just seem out of place now. The perfect time to show a realization and a verbal apology was immediately after Shyam got thrown out but writers were too busy trying to pacify Daljeet then, so the focus shifted to her. Fine, no matter, the next opportunity came along when he had that bout of verbal diarrhea by the poolside and he spewed bullshit about how he wished he never met her. That was like the perfect moment to show genuine regret (okay the regret was shown, however brief) and a heartfelt apology. But instead the writers chose to bring up the damned contract marriage and made a mockey out of the whole thing with Arnav not wooing, but manipulating her to come back to RM.

At this point, they have to do serious damage control. And the sure shot no fail way to do is show a lavish wedding. Thats one funda that ALWAYS works. 100% guarantee of TRPs going up if they show a proper wedding, complete with all the rituals. Once the TRPs are up again, then they can start playing around with different tracks, past and present combined. But honestly, now is not the time to separate ArHi again, especially since the TRPs are refusing to budge for 2 weeks in a row now.

With that said and done, the concept of TRPs is actually pretty ridiculous to begin with, 7000 households deciding what millions of people prefer to watch is idiotic to say the least.

Also, maybe they should think about pushing back the 11 PM repeat telecast. I know so many people who watch the show first hand at 11 PM, 'cause its a more convenient time as opposed to 8 PM. Now if the repeat came later on in the night, then so many people will not choose to wait for the repeat. Of course this argument is null and void if SP considers the repeat telecast TRPs too.
