@ anjali and di,
i dont have enuf logic to support my statement, but i dont want ASR to sit and do that haldi function..period
mere dimag mein tere meri chhap chuka hain, another sangeet nahi chahiye...now i want Shyam to come and stop this wedding...
anjali,
beautiful analysis, emotional and yet objective, fabulous. for these 3 points i thank you specially. the only thing that is keeping me kind of hoping still are the last two odd minutes of the show. more than what she said, what she was trying to say. and his smile. to have someone love you with so much of themselves is a blessing. "And since when has ASR cared about what others think? I think it was an injustice to his character to some degree to have to relent to everything." yes an injustice has been done to this character, because nobody had the guts to write what should have been written after the "that i love you dammit" on the terrace.
and interestingly, today in our country even the vidhi vidhaan following wedding is not legally valid, just as invalid as one done in a temple without priest and mantra. all marriages must be registered to be considered legally legit. so now what two weddings?
my kanjeevarams are all lined up. see you soon. have a good trip. the ponderings on shukla paksha and krishna paksha get me thinking. who knows i will discover beauty in all of that somewhere. serial still with potential of a classic. what?
Di, was going to respond to your PM re. the registered marriage part...goes back to what I said earlier in the week abt the two of them going to courthouse to get the job done, doesn't it?😉 Legal in every sense of the word! I am pretty sure NO thought will be given to legaiese, though...
I agree, the I love you, dammit and its aftermath was way more than just an internalizing of feelingson her part...They didn't do justice to either, frankly speaking...
Yes, still has potential to be a mega classic if they stay true to being novel. We have enough regressive undertones in every other show, and I watch this one & this one only because it is "different"--cliched, yes, but then love always is!😛
Ready to be a spectator from afar...Kanjeevarams and Kundan set on hand, but don't know how decked out I wanna be!😆
